I've found this method works amazingly for phase 1, phase 2 can be a bit RNG with him breaking my combo or witch time, but once he goes berserk at 2 bars left, I just can't get this to work anymore, is it just a case of keep trying or should I be using certain accessories? (Earring of time + hymn of Durga currently)
Yes this is a good question, and I have more information that should be helpful. You can swap accessories mid fight which makes this more convenient. I used the two accessories that increase slave demon damage and prevents them from going enraged ( I think I used earring of time in phase 2 for a longer witch time, but I can't remember). Before going into phase 2, get a stack of Baal song so you can more conveniently go into the last verse for poison rain. Use poison rain right before he goes berserk. After that, swap to the accessory that gives you more damage on masquerade attacks and use the abracadabra one. This should either kill him or get him VERY close to death to where only one or two more combos should kill him.
@@AntonioRedgrave Using the poison rain just as he was about to berserk, I was able to clutch a win (1 hit from death for almost 3 health bars), one little tip I'd like to add for anyone else who finds this in the future, I turned down my music and effects volume while raising voice volume, this let me identify an audio cue when Rodin was attacking after the Madama Butterfly attack.
Just beat him today with Bayonetta. Color my World + train chainsaw. Accessory to heal when taunting and accessory to boost demon attack power. Madame B. + Baal + Tower. No cheese, used Baal rain twice and tower witch time to taunt and heal. Stick to close quarters for the second face, always start your punish with a quick attack from your demon to interrupt whatever attack animation you dodged.

Hold down Y (shoot button) and spam like crazy R2 (evade button). when you get witch time activated stop moving just continue shooting (very decent damage). As soon as witch time ends spam evade again. Every time you get a witch time your magic meter will fill (endless magic). continue until dead. I did a perfect run (0 damage) perfect platinum.
I used Earring of Time and also managed Pure Platinum. Another trick I used is spamming Y instead of holding it. It also deals more damage the closer you are to him. So, spam dodge. Once you activate Witch time, get right in his face, and spam Y. Rinse and repeat, then Pure Platinum. You get both Rodin and the satisfaction of never having to play this level again to get a perfect score.
Oh my god, thank you so much for this tip! This one is the most consistent and easiest to set up in my opinion! Umbra witch tower seems too random whereas this way of cheesing is less dependent on luck in phase 2
i use jeanne for this to cheese rodin with unlimited dodge. and use the umbra clock tower for unlimited witch time. and hit him with astounding touch move from Colour my world. and jeanne hits much harder than bayo anyways.
First also fun fact you can use alruna, kraken glitch it can basically one shot , so happens is get witch time summon kraken use its diamond maw and when it launches out of the ground grab rodin with alruna and he will just die
I've seen both those methods but personally i enjoy the more faster paced and less room for mistakes style that I feel this stun lock has compared to those other two. I've also seen Jeanne infinite dodge with abracadabra and umbra clock but that still falls in the category of too cheesy for my taste personally
@@QT_Jeanne basically you just need to have baal and Tartarus equipped, with the accessories preventing your demons to lose control and increasing their strength. In the fight itself, you just spam dodge with Jeanne since she has infinite dodge. As soon as you have a moth within, and thus, a witch time, you use the special of baal, in 7 or 8 rains you destroy rodin's health bar. Careful tho for the second time phase. You have to escape the moves rodin uses to draw you closer with the double tap R of Tartarus (it's bette because it ignores wind hitbox) if one of these moves get you, or if rodin uses his big grab attack, quickly change your accessory for the star of dineta and taunt to get just a little health back. The grabs always puts you at 1Hp so having 2hp is enough to survive another one. Once you've taunted, re equip the accessory you've just removed. Don't worry about the timing, rodin lets you breath for a few seconds after he grabbed you. You just have to rince and repeat and you'll get him pretty easy. Sometimes you might get hit for no reason tho so you might need a few try
Definitely works good for the first half. Now demon form he loves to remove all my magic and do the spiral attack move leaving me pinned. Only one time have I gotten close to the last 2 rows
I defeated him by using Jeanne’s Cassiopeia Masquerade Skills Up/Down > P cancelled into Up/Down > K during witch time which takes about 1/3 of his health bar in total for each witch time With Earring of Time and Moon of Mahaa-Kaala equipped and constantly spamming both dodge and upwards L stick to get either Moth Within or the parry. If you are good with Moth Within and Moon of Mahaa-Kaala you can take no damage I used the Dead End Express hold jump to escape the wind boxes since I had him locked in at all times so the Up > 2x R would have taken me to the grave I used the Umbran Clock Tower every now and then to activate Witch Time; especially through the second phase and then used Cassiopeia Rage alongside Ragewolf Fang to take almost 2 health bars
I finally defeated Rodin today. weapons I chose Ignis Araneae Yo-Yo (Spider moves quicker to escape black hole and absorption) and Abracadabra for Masquerade Rage. Must use right away as soon as you reach all 5x purple lights. For Accessories I used Star of Dineta to heal and Conqueror's Reins to avoid demon slave Rampage. For Demon slave I chose Baal because of the great singing, Gomorrah as offensive and Labolas as better offensive option. I was very lucky because this time Rodin didn't come up to me and choke me. With this attack he could've easily killed me even at full health. Finally feel achieved and rewarded

Even faster way.... Equip: the ring that extend witch time + Alrune + The Kraken as demon. 1 - Let Rodin attack you so you can activate Witch time 2 - ZL + R with the Kraken 3 - After the first Bite.....Press and hold X with Alrune Done.....if you can't do it, just try and repeat.
point the left stick away from rodin and keep pressing R button while he tries to absorb you with the purple force. make sure you don't have abracadabra equipped as this weapon has the slowest getaway. do this at least 3x times and then start dodging. otherwise you'll be wide open for an attack. if he tries to approach you then try and dodge. I've tried other ways to escape when he comes at you but it's all trial and error

just in case, urban armor is the robot you get from the special of clock tower.
what acessaries did you wear ? i couldn’t seem to trigger witch time easily with that Armor

Kraken + Alraune = one-shot
Baal = busted
Apart from the Alruna Kraken glitch, I fond infinite dodging Jeanne with the poison rain of Baal much more effective, though sometimes a bit random
I've seen both those methods but personally i enjoy the more faster paced and less room for mistakes style that I feel this stun lock has compared to those other two. I've also seen Jeanne infinite dodge with abracadabra and umbra clock but that still falls in the category of too cheesy for my taste personally

Howver the timeing is kinda of strict so be careful
I could only beat him with viola using the accessory that makes an explosion when you parry.

All I did was stop time w the clock and use madam butterfly
So ive been using this strat and i keep fudging up. But i lost enough times to get his weapon. So.....w/e
