In the same race! Actually, anyone know if it is possible to "tie" in F1, or is a photo finish used when close?

@Anishnaabe425 There is no rule against a tie - if they are equal to the thousandth of a second then it would be a tie. Never going to happen though.

I'm in the same boat. I'm still waiting patiently for Landos first win, and seeing how he was after Oscar won that sprint, I really can't imagine how he'd be if Oscar won before him.
He's unfortunately so so hard on himself, every small mistake is a huge failure to him.
Nah, Max still needs to get the full season win streak so nobody can improve upon him unless they add more races to the calendar. So I reckon it'll be Wilhelmus (Dutch National Anthem) from start to finish.

Personally I wish all drivers great succes on this new season and let the best driver and team win, no matter who it is.
Although yeah... 25 times the Wilhelmus in a 24 race season might be a bit too much. That is the Dutch National Anthem played at the start of the Dutch GP and all 24 Max wins. I even say this as a Dutchman myself. 😓

I know it wasn't in any way a push lap, demo tyres etc right out the pits, But wow that car looks stable. 1 small extra stab on entry at low speed needed onto the back straight on an off camber entry, and that was it. Promising.
I thought that too, hardly any bouncing and no sawing at the wheel. Hopefully lando can get his first win this year 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
All cars are stable when you don't push them...even a Backmarker team will never be more than 2 seconds behind
The difference is apparent when you push the car to the limit...all the bouncing, instability etc occurs at the higher end
I still hope McLaren have actually built a stable car.... Piastri is my favourite driver

This seems so relaxing or maybe I just love the sound that engines make
It’s interesting to see how smooth Oscar is driving the car which I think is a big deal towards the stability of the car even on the turns. Look forward to seeing if I’m right or wrong in pre season testing 😂

Two things - it's the MCL38 not 36, and Lando will be overtaken by Piastri..... Piastri has the raw talent, just like MV and LH..... not sure Lando is going to be able to live with Oscar this year, the boy is amazingly fast.....

Wonder what the little toggle switches are for at the back of the steering wheel, seen him adjusting several times around the lap. It’s mad how much the driver’s intuitively adjust settings throughout a single lap.

Looks very stable, probably not driving on the limit, but pretty sure I remember seeing both Lando and Oscar sawing at the wheel of last year's car at the start of the season because it was so unstable at the rear.

Car sounds and appears to have a very stable drive. Couldn’t help notice pedal shifters were not in use. Probably the best approach to save the engine from any pre race issues
