Yo, thanks a ton. I feel like this game struggles to explain some of the interactions and I was confused about how I was getting gum-bound and weapon-broken all the time. Yea the game is not great with explaining such things at first kinda fails on that but game is still good
There’s a manual in the game that’s quite detailed but we’re going to decide the meta so sometimes it’s best to just give us the mechanics and let us figure it out.
and here I thought you have no choice but engage the enemy's parry clash even when you had the clear advantage in attacking first. This mechanic really does changes things and kinda reminds me of "Counter Breaker" from the recent Killer Instinct.
yeah i started using break attacks around 2 days ago and it makes a difference but its annoying since people keep third parting everytime i do it

your camera view is soo good. idky but everytime I'm fighting someone, most of the time I can't see who I'm fighting, which makes it hard for me to get a read on him.
Thanks! I’ll admit even sometimes I lose track of players when fighting them, BUT gyroscope controls help a LOT for this game. I was hesitant to use them at first as I never played splatoon or any game with them, but having gotten used to them now it’s just such a huge boom to mobility and control that I couldn’t go without.

I actually hate the parry struggles that I have to go through when playing the game so I just press the break attack after I hit someone so I don’t have to go through it because everyone does It. Ppl always block after I hit them. I remember getting 12 ippons in one match because of it.

In your last video you used the break attack after winning a parry, I tested it out and is so useful, it doesn't always work but when it does you do an ippon for sure

It seems that quite a lot of people don't know about the break attack yet or how and when to use it.
I actually found that out very early and I got a lot of IPPONs in some matches because of the break attack.
Sometimes I get an IPPON in the first half minute of the match because I broke someones weapon.
And I must say, it works especially good after attacking someone with the Y-Ability of the drill.
Almost every time I attack them like that, they use an S-Burst, which gives me the chance to successfully use the break attack.
And it works for me most of the time.
For sure, I think attacks with long landing lag like the drill special as you mentioned are super good for baiting out S-Bursts-it’s why I initiate with a wide attack on the katana a lot of the time. Hope you’re enjoying the game, and thanks for watching! :)

Yes, definitely! Trying to get out guides on the basic mechanics first, but combo guides for each weapon with the fastest time to kill will definitely be coming in the future!

good one. i finally understand break attacks. and s-bursts kinda. im assuming you can only do an s-burst when you are attacked? like a s-burst is an option you can use when you get attacked to get into a parry?
Yes that’s correct-you can only S burst if you take damage

Okay, so that video didn't explain the only thing I wanted to know: when we can use this attack. Can we before the enemy uses an explosion? During, the moment the arrows appear on the screen? Or any time at all?
In the moment when the other has his bubble out or when they do this purple explosion and stop in air. If the parry arrows appear, it is to late.
Usually getting someone to fall for a break is you hit them once and instantly use the break attack 90% of the the time the person will have tried parrying meaning an easy k.o.
And if you do it at any time, it has a lot of end lag, so it makes you vulnerable to be counter-attacked.
Please make a weapon tier list, I’m using sk8 hammer but it feels so hard to chase people down, like if they decide to run away you just can’t get them

Do a combo video. I feel like ur doing combos. And I can’t do shit. I just feel like I’m spamming ZL thinking it’s a combo. Or ZL into a Y or w/e which still doesn’t feel like a combo. I even tried practicing jump canceling but it doesn’t look smooth when I do it. Great vid btw
I’ll for sure do a video on animation cancelling and fluid combos for all of the weapons once I get more videos out on basic mechanics and such!
I was so confused on what’s a break attack
Is it even possible to get out of an attack, like when a person attacks you after the Rock Paper Scissors thing and they just spam you with attacks
Some weapons such as the drill and katana have a brief period where if you spam side attack, you can actually get out of the hitstun when losing a parry. The window is really short though so you have to be spamming it after the parry.
But can you do a guide about how to get out of a combo?

So what can I do when someone is just wailing on me and the game doesnt let me run away, dash away, dodge away or jump away? Do i just have to take it up the ass?

Enma I use a capture card-specifically the Elgato HD60 Pro.
So if you're in a situation where you lose the rock-paper-scissors fight and you're opponent expects to break your guard with a Break attack, what can you use to counter that? Do you do a dash and attack them or does a normal attack work?
That is before you enter the RPS situation.
After the RPS usually you can't use the S-burst.
And no, you aren't able to counter that anti-counter.
Ninjala is basically Dbz with weapons online

Are the weapon gum skins only consumables? Is it possible to get permanent ones?
Unfortunately, they’re only consumables right now. I’m hoping they change this system eventually!

If you see the tutorial it explains you.
But the S-burst is when you press the gum button (usually ZL) and you can counter the opponent.

If the daily mission says “Land a Break Attack” you have to hit your opponent with a break attack when they either S Burst or gum guard

Any way to figure out the stats for assist cards.. I'm up to Level 5 for one stat.. is that OP to a person without one?
I’ve been trying to figure out exact values for each level up as well, but so far it seems that leveling up the Assist Codes definitely does a decent amount to improve the stat, but as of right now there aren’t any numbers out there.

You get some Ninjala from the battle pass if you haven’t gotten all the rewards yet. If you buy the pass and save all the Jala you’ll be able to purchase the next one for free

It does... when you first start the game you get a blast of tip screens you have to manually close so if you missed it that's on you for not reading. they tell you the basics of attacking , moving , blocking AND how to break...

This game is absolutely unforgiving to newer players like most games i can’t even get a fucking hit i usually spend the whole damn game running because it’s nearly impossible to hit anyone let alone combo them and practicing against cp may help a little if that because you can’t predict a real player unless they have bad habits so this whole fighting system is based off of guessing and it’s way too unforgiving for guessing wrong it’s not a bad game at all I just wish that you got put against people on the same skill level and not against people who been playing since launch that dominate the whole game every single game but I guess all I can say is that I need to get good or get used to getting shit on every game:/
