Try flipping your Misti over, setting your stamp, and then lowering the paper onto the stamp.
Thanks Marylou, I’ll try that 🤗🤗🤗
An @marionemberson video on my BIRTHDAY! One of the BEST GIFTS I could get! ❤
Happy Birthday, Alysha! 😊😉 I agree this must be a birthday treat 👏👏Have a lovely day! 💐🎊🍸🎂🙋 Isobel
Happy Birthday!
Awww I hope you had a lovely day, happy birthday for yesterday 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I feel that sometimes polymer stamps stretch out and thats why don't line up with the dies. You can always cut the stamped paper in half or where the die doesn't line up and just run it thru 2x , separately so the line up doesn't ruin the sentiments.
That’s a fabulous idea, thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Love stamping up and die cutting a bunch of sentiments ahead of time to have on hand. Great time saver for sure when you're putting cards together!! Love watching your videos and also love watching Amy too!!!
Thanks so much, it’s really helped me no end. 🤗🤗🤗
You could stick the card to the door and put the stamp set in the misti. X
I have done that and it works great!
I was going to recommend the same thing.
I don’t know why I didn’t think of that 😂😂 next time 🥰🥰🥰
Now I know, I’ll be doing that 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
You are never boring Marion you always cheer me up you are so down to earth I just love your videos I really need to force myself to do some chores 😂😂😂
Aww thank you. Do what I did and get a robotic hoover 😂😂😂😂😂🥰🥰
Thanks for the shout out and kind words my friend! I'm so glad pre-batching sentiments is working for you. Great vid as always!!
Always 🥰🥰 it was your video that spurred me on 🥰🥰🥰
@@marionemberson I'm so glad you found it helpful!
Hi Marion, great to watch. I never think of batch making sentiments. I have a lot to learn n I learn alot from you, so your videos are far from boring. Thank you as always x
Thanks so much Lynne, I’m so glad they help 🥰🥰🥰
After seeing your “sentiment bowl” on another video I assumed you did something similar to what you are doing now. I tried and tried to figure out how you did it and failed miserably. The kind of failure where you stay away from your desk in disgust. Thanks to you I get it now and plan to rectify that mistake!!! You are such a dear and truly practice what you preach…don’t give up! You single handedly give me the courage to keep trying. Thanks for that.
Thank you and I’m so glad you’re going to give it a go, it makes cardmaking quicker 🤗🤗🤗
Marion, your video was not boring whatsoever! Brilliant idea for making sentiments? You are so inspiring and such a kind human being! ❤
Thanks so much, I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🥰🥰🥰
You are never boring ❤ I've enjoyed each video! 🎉
Yay! Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰
Jennifer Mcguire has a video on this sentiment mass making as well. Love to watch Marion..she is so much fun.
Oh I didn’t know that, thank you 🤗🤗🤗
I made a pressing tool the same way! Purple chunky glitter in mine. It's been a lot of fun watching you this morning!
Gotta love a bit of homemade 🥰🥰🥰
Marion, you're never boring!
I enjoy making sentiments ready and keeping them for future cards. I usually do them when I don't have a particular card that is needed.
Thanks Dee 🤗🤗 it really does help doesn’t it 🥰🥰🥰
@@marionemberson 🥰
Have you ever tried using a embossing buddy before embossing? It's a bag filled with powder & then you rub it all over the area ur hoping to emboss & the embossing powder will only go on those spots. You get less little spots where the embossing powder isn't supposed to be. I ❤ this idea. Think I'll start doing it. Great video. Thx for sharing.
Thank you.. the WOW powders I use are already treated with an anti static property, but I do use talcum powder to absorb any moisture that may have gone on the card from my fingers, embossing powders don’t like moisture or oils. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Brilliant video thank you and not boring at all! I have just ordered the box from Amazon and will start sorting out my sentiments ready to put in it when it arrives. May take me a while to fill it though. 😂😂😂. xxx💖💖💖
Glad it was helpful! It takes ages to fill and no time to use them 😂😂🥰🥰
@@marionemberson it was, very helpful! Thanks again. xxx
Great ideas thank you so much. Love love your video's. Xxx❤
You are so welcome! So glad you like them 🤗🤗🤗
You might try cleaning the back of the stamp with rubbing alcohol. Mine will stay in place after I do this. Thank you for the candle lid tip.
Ahhh I didn’t think of that, thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Marion, I haven’t read the comments so I could be saying the same thing, but I watch a lady, Natalie of @NB Cards and she uses a Pritt/Glue Stick to attach anything non-sticky to her stamping platform and it just cleans off afterwards xxxx
Ooo, thank you, I’ll give that a go 🥰🥰🥰
A great stamp felt is a black board eraser. Dollar Tree has them. They slide right over the stamp positioner and make great i k impressions
Oh gosh… yes !!! I bet our £ stores don’t sell them though 😂😂🥰🥰
I watch Amy's videos and she is wonderful just like you!!!
Thanks so much, she’s so lovely 🤗🤗🤗
thanks friend!!
Great idea! At first I thought this doesn't work for me because I coordinate my sentiments to the card I'm making for a particular person. But I can do white and color it in or add embellishments to match like you said! Thank you!
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it 🥰🥰🥰
I love how you don’t give up! Thanks for a fun and informative video!😊
You are so welcome! And thank you 😍😍😍
I did the same the other evening Hubby was watching the Grand Prix and I was in my craft room with a film on my iPad and a glass of something cold 🥂😍
Delightful 😊👍❤
Perfect… did they all come out straight 😂😂😂😂🥰🥰
@@marionemberson they did Marion because I placed them all in my Misti in single rows ..😍Happy Easter to you and your gorgeous grandbabies ❤️🐇🥚🐣
@@sallystapleton4237 fab !!! Thanks so much and a very happy Easter to you and yours 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for the ideas! Some I knew but gained some extras!
You’re welcome Lyn, thanks for watching 🤗🤗🤗
@@marionemberson I have to agree about those boxes you used! Awful! I couldn't open them without hurting my thumb so now just close them with rubber bands. Even my husband had a job to open them. I'd never buy them again but thanks to you I now have a use for them! I spent the day making sentiments.
@@LynBell oh that’s a fab idea Lyn, thanks 🤗🤗🤗
One of the things I do to extend my stash is to make a foam stamp of each of my dies. I noticed you struggled a bit in getting the full sheet of stamps to stay put on your stamp positioned. My tip for that is to use a tacky glue. I like the Zig 2 way glue. It's also GREAT for putting tack back on your cutting mats. Love your videos! I really enjoy that you leave your mistakes in the videos. Have a great day everyone!
And there are two great ideas, thank you so much 😍😍😍
@marionemberson so Happy to share! I'm sure I wasn't the one to come up with the glue idea, but I've been doing it so long I can't remember where I got it from! Lol.
@@angelawester9978 That's the trouble when you've been in this game so long, I've been creating since I was about 7 and I'm 60 now, I always like to give credit but often forget where I saw it LOL !!!!
@marionemberson my thoughts exactly! I've been doing it for about 30 years. I'll be 60 in December. I keep thinking " when did I get this old?" !!!
Hubby has a t shirt that says I dont know how to act my age I've never been this old before! Lol!
Terrific idea, thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome! 🥰🥰🥰
Your ideas are wonderful! Will pursue them when I'm not making a specific card. I CREATE PERSONAL GREETINGS ON THE COMPUTER AND FEED THE CARD THROUGH THE PRINTER BEFORE EMBELLISHMENTS ARE ADDED TO THE CARD FRONT.😊
That’s a great way to do it 🙌🙌🙌🥰🥰
Your video just popped up today. At a crop some ladies told me to use a "chapstick " to make them stick. Your glittery top is called a chuckie.chuckle. I use it to press paper down on my Cricut mat.
Ahhh thanks Karen, that’s a good tip re pressing the paper on your cricut mat 🤗🤗🤗
I made my own pressure tool, too. I piece of wood with furniture felt on one side. Works great!
Fabulous 🤗🤗🤗
Hi Marion!!! Happy to stop by to watch your tutorial… what a great tip with stamping the entire sheet at one time…. TFS!! Hugs. Gloria 💕
Thank you Gloria, I’ve had tips on here to place the stamp up on the base and stick the cardstock to the lid… duh… why didn’t I think of that 😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗
I like your glittery candle lid. I think in printing the tool is called a baron (not sure of spelling). It looks different, but it serves the same purpose. A couple of Christmases ago I made one for each of the ladies in a card making group that I belong to. I bought domed-lid candles at the dollar store and put one of the adhesive backed felt circles on the bottoms. They were a big hit with the group. I use mine every time I use my stamps. The arthritis in my hands is no longer a hinderance. Such a good idea to stamp a supply of sentiments at one time. I spend way too much time going through my sentiment stamps every time I make a card. Thanks for the idea.
Ohh how lucky were they 🤗🤗🤗 it really does help, I have tendinitis in both wrists and it really helps. Glad you enjoyed the video 🥰🥰🥰
you could leave you stamps on the bottom and adhere your card stock to the top plate save your stamps falling off the top plate
Thank you, a few others have said this, so now I’m thinking, why didn’t I think of that 😂😂😂😂🥰🥰
That top spellbinders set is on my wishlist! I like the dies say sending, wishing, etc.
I use that set a lot, even though it’s called snowflake wishes is quite generic 🤗🤗🤗
I do that as well make a bunch at a time.
It’s such a great idea of Amy’s, it’s a time saver 🤗🤗🤗
I’ve been doing a lot of batch directing also the past couple of weeks. It really helps cardmaking a bit quicker. 🥰👍🥰
Yes it does! It’s great to do when you’ve lost your mojo 🥰🥰🥰
Wow! I love your stamp plushie thing! That was ingenious! I’m gonna have to do that! Thanks for the inspiration!
And what a great idea for the sayings! I never know where to put them, it’s a mess
Hi there I made a stamp push thing from a glass paper weight I just added a piece of felt to the bottom .
Thank you, it wasn’t my idea, I’m not that clever 😂😂😂 I wish I could remember where I first saw it, to credit the lady, but it was years ago and I can just about remember yesterday 😂😂🤗🤗🤗
That’s a fab idea Dot 🥰🥰🥰
I like the idea of having sentiments made ahead. I think I may have gone over-board today, I may have burned my WOW out. I only just got it to replace my last one that I had for years. Wish me luck when I next turn it on.
Oh no, you didn’t have your hand over the vent at the top did you ? Hopefully the safety just kicked in and it will start up 🤞🤞🥰🥰🥰
Marion! I have that Pinkfresh set too! Those are super hard to stack up for dimension! Great minds think alike!
I love them so much, fiddly, but lovely 🤗🤗
I use a glue stick for my stamps, easy clean up too
Great tip, thank you 🥰🥰🥰
I have that stamping press tool from stamping bug in pink! I bought it off Etsy and I got it when they first started making it! Every once in a while, take packing tape to the slider to clean powder, glitter, etc.
They’re very useful, great tip, thanks 🤗🤗
@@marionemberson I think this one is the most comfortable one!!
Hi. Guess what I'll be doing over this wet Easter weekend. We're not away till after easter so will fill my time. Alison. X
Sounds perfect and it’s certainly going to be wet, why, because we have a full schedule 🙈🙈🙈🙈😂😂😂😂 have a lovely one 🥰🥰🥰
Great idea Marion, definitely a job for if your mojo has done a runner 😁 x
Thanks Bea and yes, I often loose mine 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Thanks Marion !
You’re welcome🤗🤗🤗
Marion I love everything about you ❤
Awww thank you 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Great video ❤❤❤
Thank you!! 🥰🥰🥰
I've gotten on the preparing sentiments and I haven't come up w/a storage salutation yet. I also made a pressure tool too. I made mine out of 3 wooden stamp blocks and felt. 😊
Great tip! Have you watched Amy’s video, she uses a folder with pockets 🤗🤗🤗
😅you could never bore me!
Phew !!! I always worry I’m taking far too long 🙈🙈🙈🥰🥰🥰
I did a similar thing -great minds 😊I printed a load of sentiments out on A4 sheets and toner foiled them. I cut some up with rectangle dies and some sheets I left whole so I could see what sentiments they were as I fiind I have to scrabble through them otherwise. I like the idea of the boxes though to separate them into groups. Where was that from Marion please as I didn't see a link x
Oh I like that idea, doing it on an A4 sheet, I have a toner printer so that would work great with my Fab Foils. I got the box from Amazon UK here’s the link, but if you’re in the states I’m sure you can copy the title and they should bring up similar amzn.to/4avo0mg
🤗🤗🤗
I had got something like this under the advise of you marion from taylord expression and i love them.
Fab, they’re probably my favourite sentiments, simple but effective, I probably should treat myself to more 😂😂😂😂
I sent you an email. I didn’t remember if I still had it. Please give me your feedback. And I have to tell you I went through the ink checklist CP has now and I was SHOCKED at how many colors I’d never heard of I have! So today, I took every ink pad out and rearranged them by color from light to dark in each group of colors! They look beautiful! And now I can see perfectly the colors for coloring and shading like a flower because I have the light medium dark! I highly recommend it so you use all your colors!
When did you send it, I can’t find one 🧐🧐 oh yes I already do that with my colours, the storage I have holds 3 pads in each hole, it looks to pretty 😍😍
@@marionemberson you do already huh? I only watch 1 other person regularly for cards, Ardyth in Canada. She is a wizard with ink and blending and stencils! And I think I asked her how she stores them when I got mine and she does it how CP has them, by space, party or neutrals. I had no idea I had many of the spa because I never use them. You’re right! Now they look so beautiful all lined up! I sent the email within the last week or 2. I wanted you to see my son’s wedding card. They’re having a country wedding. It’s been so long maybe it went into spam. I didn’t send it to IG because you’ve never answered there.
@@dizzinese I do ! Ardyth is fab, I just do mine by colour starting with the lightest and working in each colour group.
I’ll go check my spam.
I really try to keep up with all the socials and comments but, I’m sorry, I obviously fail at times 😢😢😢
@@marionemberson isn’t that so much better? Especially if you want to ink up a die cut flower or something! You have a light and 1-2 mid tones and 1-2 dark! I can’t believe I never even knew the names of them. I went through the new checklist which is nice and I swore I didn’t have a bunch but found them. That means I’m not using them. So all better now!!
never a boring video!
thanks for sharing your tips and tricks
those containers you showed at the beginning? i have some and i have used them for my diecuts that don't come in packages. sorry to admit but i ordered some online....
it works great for keeping the diecuts organized. grouped by season or event.
we can get them here in canada from michaels. i think there are 16 in one container and they are advertised as photo keepers.
they also have a 50% off coupon today tomorrow and sat only. lucky us!!
Thank you Sheryl 🥰🥰 they’re great, yours are better than mine then as mine only hold 6 😢 all the best bargains are in North America 😂😂🤗🤗🤗🤗
@@marionemberson i think the USA wins out on having the best of everything crafty at a cheaper price but i'll take second place! lol (canada)
@@sheryl5252 you’re right, we lag behind you both 🤗🤗🤗🤗
❓Question Marion, Do you have a mini die cut machine in addition to your Big Shot? I have been toying with getting the We R Memory Keepers Mini Evolution (3” cutting pad width instead of Sizzix Sidekick 2.5”). Thoughts?
Hi, I do have the little Altenew one and your comment has just reminded me, I don’t know why, but I always forget to use it, I think I’ll go search it out and put it in my new work space. The thing I love about the BS is I can put multiple dies and cut in one go 🤗🤗🤗
Great idea!!
Thank you Susan 🤗🤗🤗
Petunia now makes a sticky mat. It fits inside and holds your stamps.
Ohhh I didn’t know that. Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
instead of the baby wipes have you tried gina k tidy towel? there are so many of that type of thing on the market. i just happen to have the tidy towel which i love so that is the only one i know the name of.
i also use baby wipes. i have tried a few brands with the same result you were having. i recently have tried 'huggies' natural care sensitive and fragrance free. they are a bit more moist and i don't seem to have the problem with the bits sticking to my stamps. they are a bit more expensive, of course, but seem to be worth it.
thanks for the video!
I’ve never heard of that GK one, is it like the lawn Fawn shammy thing ? If so, I have that, but I always forget to wet it and then when I do, I forget about it and it ends up smelling 😢😢😢 I’ve just got the Kirkland wipes from Costco, they seem better 🤞🤞🥰🥰🥰
@@marionemberson yes i assume it is like the lawn fawn one. i keep a ziplock disposable takeout container (like tupperware but way cheaper!) I wet the cloth and ring it out and put it into the container to keep at my desk. i don't put a lid on it and as there is minimal water in it i don't have to worry about spilling it. without the lid on it can airdry if i forget to take it to the sink. i've only had smelly sponges/cloths when i put them in a sealed container or a ziploc bag.
but if the baby wipes work, then you gotta go with them!
@@sheryl5252 thanks so much, I think that’s where I’m going wrong as I always have it in a sealed container 🙈🙈🙈🥰🥰🥰
Put the paper on top of the stamp and flip the bottom over
I honestly never thought of that, next time !!! Thank you 🤗🤗🤗
Crafters companion do a spray mount thing - stick and spray. It's repositional.
I have that 😂😂😂😂😂🙈🙈
Pritt stick 😊
Ahhh I didn’t think of that, thank you 🤗🤗🤗
If the polymer/silicon stamps don't stick use a glue stick on the back of them
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Some of those stamp-and-die sets don't match up, but that a manufacturing error not a user error.
Exactly! I have the same stamp & die set that Marion couldn't line up and I get the same results. 🤷 That said, I'm still happy to line up the top and sacrifice the bottom or vice versa, just to mass produce some. I definitely thought it was operator error initially until Marion and I had a little chat & she shared that she had the same problem. Wee bit frustrating at first.😜
@@DVSDonna. Thank you for confirming I wasn’t losing my marbles! I have the same problem with a few of my stamp and die sets not lining up - it is super frustrating.
Yes, I chatted to my friend Donna afterwards as she has those and hers are brand new and she has the same problem, I thought it was because mine were old and stretched, good to know, as I get a lot of things wrong 🤗🤗🤗

I’m trying to do one a month, so soonish 😜😜🤗🤗🤗
Why so complicated Marion? Glue the paper on the door and put the stamp into the platform 😉 Or if you like complicated, glue the foam for cling stamp onto the stamp 🤔
Because I’m a numpty and didn’t think of that 😂😂😂😂 but now I know 😜😜😜🤗🤗🤗
