- Join my friend Gary C and I for a short-break at Alton Towers Resort in the UK! We stay overnight at the Alton Towers Hotel in the Big Pyjama Room Suite, enjoy some fun in the theme park, try our hand at mini-golf and tour the other accommodations to help you get a good overview of the resort.
DISCLAIMER: In accordance with guidelines in England at the time of filming (where Gary and I both reside), we are now part of the same support bubble (household). In today's vlog, we start out our short-break by parking up at the Alton Towers Hotel and entering via the hotel guest entrance (open until 11:30am in the morning). This entrance places us at the back of the park and right next to Galactica (the world's first flying roller coaster, formerly known as Air).
We go on to ride Nemesis, The Blade, Dual, grab lunch at the Easter Express, ride Wickerman, take the Skyride round to the Dark Forest, ride Smiler and Oblivion before calling it a day on the Theme Park. We stop-by the Oktoberfest set-up at the front of the park before picking up an ice-cream and starting the walk back to the hotel for check-in.
For this stay, we decided to splash out on a special room, a suite in fact! Our suite was called the Big Pyjama Room and features an array of 'Silent Night' like branding throughout. It includes a giant hot-air-balloon bed, a double sofa bed and flying machine bunk-bed. In total, the suite can host up to six guests. It includes double sinks, hand-painted walls and special sound effects. All-in-all, it was a really fun overnight stay!
After giving you a full room tour of our suite, we take a look around the main bar and gardens, before venturing over to the Extraordinary Golf course for some mini-golf (9 holes included in our stay). We also take a look around the Splash Landings Hotel, the Star Gazing Pods and a quick look at the Enchanted Village. We end up retiring to our room for room service pizza and to enjoy the patio singer from the comfort of our room.
During the vlog, we share our thoughts on the social distancing measures in place at Alton Towers, our personal comfort levels and review the rides, dining and hotel as a whole.

Adam, I really hope you'll keep vlogging even if you can't visit theme parks for awhile. I mean seriously, I'd be happy to watch you and Gary go to the shops, paint your bathroom, anything really - as long as you are having fun together!

Adam, you've doubtless heard this before, but you should do voiceover work. All of the voices you do are shockingly good. There are times when you're doing a voice, like in the skyliner thing in this episode, when I don't even realize at first that it's you doing it. I was like "why is this skyliner talking about Disney???! Oh wait, it's Adam".

I got mooned on the Sky Ride once, you don’t get that at Disneyworld.
Think again Lorraine, we got it good at WDW Blizzard Beach boarding the ski lift which is just beside the end of the Summit Plummet slide...people are literally scrambling to find their bathing suits, especially if they are not well attached.

What a fun video! After seeing your Alton Towers adventure I would love to visit. The scenery was lovely. Compared to the heat here in Florida it looked very refreshing. Your room was really nice.

Guys thank you so much for these lovely memories - I took my two best friends to Alton towers as a present for their 21st birthday (10 years ago!) and stayed in this exact suite. It was the silent night suite then, sponsored by the brand, hence the super creepy voice on the door! (“Have a silent night”) You’ve brought this quarantine-crazy girl a heck of a lot of happy today ❤️❤️❤️
I love Alton towers! It’s my favourite park in the UK even though I live an hour and a half away from it... the smiler is my favourite coaster there
Since you guys are fans of Rollercoasters, kings island in Ohio has the longest wooden coaster in the world. Its so famous that there is a goosebumps book about it. It's called The Beast.
A great vlog as usual, thanks for doing it. That bedroom was weird. A bit overdose with the mattress company branding, that scary voice when you come in and did that fairy dust noise wake you up if someone needed the loo in the middle of the night? 🤣

I’m enjoying seeing theme parks. They remind me a lot of Six Flags in the US. I would also enjoy city tours too. Perhaps a visit if the sites/sounds of London.
I'm loving having you 2 back after spending lockdown rewatching so many of your old videos! I was wondering if Gary has ever tried compression socks for his legs instead of the bandages? They help me so much and come in some pretty cool patterns as a bonus but they are a pain in the arse to put on!

I went on Oblivion 2 weeks after it opened, queued up for 3 hours and then whilst sat on the front row of the ride watched someone be walked straight up the exit ramp - grumpy about it at first but it was Jonathon Ross so he is on my ride photo and was happy to chat with us after the ride and have photos with us
