I now inflate kayak and put on top of car (Xterra) and tie down. Afterwards I also put atop car and bring home to thoroughly dry, deflate and put away. Saves me so much time and less hassle!
@@advancedelements thanks for the tip-will do that for sure! - normally do that for trips no longer than 45 minutes. On longer trips I keep it stored in it's case :-)
When he folds it the last time, the skeg isnt flat, and winds up perpendicular to the longitudinal line of the hull. That can't be good. I have trouble with this. Very hard to fold stern into centre and keep skeg flat.
Advanced Elements We have the tandem model, which I often use on a solo ride, yes I always watch those welded part with the Skeg not to put stress when folded.

I think the instructions that come with the kayak show a different way. Maybe there are multiple ways..

OK, thank you. I thought it would put unecessary stress on the welds, as well as reducing the "flatness" of the folded kayak.
