You have Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Mark Knopfler, Bryan Adams, Eric Clapton and Phil Collins...ALL TOGETHER IN ONE SINGLE STAGE!!! WHAT ELSE???!!!
Give Mick and David a 10 out of 10 for energy and performance. Give the sound guy a 5 for not balancing David's microphone so everyone could hear his voice too. Still fun to ses them all together. Quite a star studded stage.
I was here for this concert, directly across from Charles and Diana! The only picture I got of Mick Jagger came out blurry so there wasn't any proof that he actually performed there. Thanks to you, I could relive this again. Thank you so much!!!
A rough version, but what the hell. You had Paul McCartney, Elton John, Tina Turner, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, and numerous other superstars on the same stage with Mick Jagger and David Bowie.. Jesus Christ. I think this is the only time Mick Jagger has been on stage with Paul McCartney.. Incredible.
Bowie and Jagger put out a video duet of this song, so between them it was obviously well rehearsed. For the rest, it's a 3 chord pop song played without arrangement.
THANK YOU so much for uploading this Matt!!! i'd only seen pictures of this and it's great to finally see the video!!! :-) i just wish David would sing up a bit, can hardly hear him! but he looks great! :-) thanks again!!!
As the performance was unplanned/unrehearsed, I think some of the musicians were expecting the "Philadelphia, PA" part of the song just after 1:57 - but ended up briefly out of the tune as Jagger decided instead to advance to another "it doesn't matter what you wear".
I think Bowie was too wasted to do his part so Mick carried it for him. Notice how Mick keeps looking at Bowie, and even "gives him" the stage but Bowie can't be heard. Then at the end Bowie departs quickly while Mick at least says thank you to the crowd and Elton John as he exits...
I didn't know Mick Jagger played at The Prince's Trust in 1986.I'm glad because I love the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. What a luxury to have Paul playing in the back
Jagger takes this...Bowie looks like he is just along for the ride and I usually adore David but in this he falls pale to Mick...could be the sound people's fault...it looks unrehearsed, done for charity and a lot of fun.....I like the fact it is raw and sung by two best mates..love the 80s xxxxxx
It's definitely the sound peoples fault. The few times you can hear Bowie his vocals are quite powerful but his microphone is so low that even him screaming is overshadowed by Mick talking.
Love how Mick gets the words wrong but he doesn't care, he is just having fun. Plus only Mick Jagger could do that arse shake at the end there. This certainly does bring a smile to the face 🙂
David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Elton John, Phil Collins and Ray Cooper on the same stage performing. Not to mention Sting, George Michael, Rod Stewart & Tina Turner backstage somewhere. Now that's absolutely truly out of this world. What a magnificent, magical and unforgettable time to be at Wembley Arena, am I right
If you look in the background at about 2:50 you can see one example of where Midge Ure is kind of conducting that mess where he's giving the motion to lower the tempo.
Para mi forma de percibir las cosas Mick Jagger tiene un magnetismo muy padre que lo transmite al publico. Es una virtud que Dios le ha dado y se le agradece. Jagger transmite su gusto por la musica. Que a todo dar.
Something tells me this wasn’t rehearsed at all choreography wise because there all over the place but it makes it look better because there haveing fun
And John Illsley, Jack Sonny too! and also the guys from Status Quo. Damn these british (with the permission of Sonny) are good!!! Thanks for posting!!!!
They made an appearance to generate money for a trust fund so lighten up on the bad vibe putdowns please! Its not about them but the cause they decided to promote by their presence... This was FUN while helping out!
Get off your high horse! People don't suspend their critical faculties just because something was done for charity. This was not a great performance, and people have a right to say so. The charity got its money anyway, despite the less than wonderful turn.
+PackerBronco You're right to a point. But this was unannounced, unplanned and more than likely unrehearsed. The sound people didn't have time to know how to turn the knobs for this song. But in a way, that was a hallmark of these 1980's charity concerts was seeing the performers improvise, ad lib. In the 80's everything was choreographed, rehearsed and sounded perfect with little opportunity to just go with the flow and do the best you can. Moments like this usually don't happen twice.
Jaggers just a natural performer and loves it and forgets all self consciousness and just lets himself go while Bowie by his own admission dislikes it,has to work at it and be a character,it’s why he created characters

*Mick* : every guy, grab a girl!
**grabs Bowie by his waist**
You have Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Mark Knopfler, Bryan Adams, Eric Clapton and Phil Collins...ALL TOGETHER IN ONE SINGLE STAGE!!! WHAT ELSE???!!!
If I was cameraman, would become epileptic!!
What else? 23-year-old me in the audience. Genuinely jaw-dropping.
I think i see Brian May playing guitar
What a fucking band
They're looking on at them incredulously like
We chose the right career path
also Keith Richards
as of 2020 only 1 on that stage not here anymore, all pretty long lived
when mick grabs david at “every guy grab a girl” my heart BURSTS
literally same i was about to comment that lmao
I think it was Mick s goal 😉 or both (knowing the clever «girl», wouldn t be surprised it was)
I was about to say the same thing
Same here!!!
I know exactly what you mean.
This song still Rocks Me in August 2023!
I want Jaggers hair. Its so lush and fluffy!
David you are so missed!! Mick you never lose your energy. Love this song with the two of you !!!
Give Mick and David a 10 out of 10 for energy and performance. Give the sound guy a 5 for not balancing David's microphone so everyone could hear his voice too. Still fun to ses them all together. Quite a star studded stage.
Summer of 86. What a time to be alive and into music. Everything was about music back then.
Paul to the rescue at 1:52
rest in piece David Bowie
+Jake Mika as of 2020 hes the only one on stage that's not there anymore, long lived the whole lot of them!
Today’s his birthday😌
you mean "peace"
I was here for this concert, directly across from Charles and Diana! The only picture I got of Mick Jagger came out blurry so there wasn't any proof that he actually performed there. Thanks to you, I could relive this again. Thank you so much!!!
David Bowie sings a great top line - soooo professional.
I cannot thank you enough. Some of my favourite musicians all together...PRICELESS :}
PURE JOY !!!!!! Thanks to whoever posted this...
Good song and good performance, but the sound person messed up.. I can only hear Mick, can barely hear David.
A rough version, but what the hell. You had Paul McCartney, Elton John, Tina Turner, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, and numerous other superstars on the same stage with Mick Jagger and David Bowie.. You know don't you?

I wish i was as high as sir mick was that day
Sums up the eighties really
Lots of legends 🙏
we'd like to welcome to the stage: cocaine and 80s shoulder pads !
Hahaa
Cocaine taken by Jagger, you mean?
THANK YOU so much for uploading this Matt!!! i'd only seen pictures of this and it's great to finally see the video!!! :-)
i just wish David would sing up a bit, can hardly hear him! but he looks great! :-)

Goodbye starman. I'll see you around.
+Bucket ofBiscuits trust and believe, you will...go outside and look up- there you go
Mick Jagger's immense crop of hair is just off the wall . Bowie always exuded class whenever and wherever he performed .
something tells me this was not rehearsed at all
Something tell me it looks more like a Las Vegas show.
can they rock???
Thank you for posting this! This was one of the best concerts to ever happen.
As the performance was unplanned/unrehearsed, I think some of the musicians were expecting the "Philadelphia, PA" part of the song just after 1:57 - but ended up briefly out of the tune as Jagger decided instead to advance to another "it doesn't matter what you wear".
Way too light on Bowie and way too much on Jagger.
Jagger had taken more coke...
I don't think this kind of group performance was Bowie's thing really. He like being in control of his own oerformances.
Loved seeing Princess Diana ❤️
I think Mick forgets his jacket but picks up Bowie’s for him
I miss Bowie~!
two legends
This is terrific. What energy
Cocaine is amazing !!

The most amazing group of people, sounding very unamazing together. I guess you have to give credit to the fact that they all showed up.
I didn't want to say it but.....
Did you guys see Lady Di and Prince Charles?
Jagger takes this...Bowie looks like he is just along for the ride and I usually adore David but in this he falls pale to Mick...could be the sound people's fault...it looks unrehearsed, done for charity and a lot of fun.....I like the fact it is raw and sung by two best mates..love the 80s xxxxxx

@@VActorDreamer i could barely hear bowie. this is terrible.
Maybe every one falls pale next Jagger.
Bowie is singing perfect harmonies but the levels are slightly off
Bowie and Jagger had been drinking at a wedding all day and turned up late to put on this performance...and still nailed it
Creo que son grandes enormes musicos ambos.lo feliz que me hacen verlos juntos.EMI ARBO. ❤❤.
Ésos son verdaderos ARTISTAS 😊👍Cuanto talento junto.
Dichosos los qué estuvieron presentes.
David Bowie ❤💕👏hasta el cielo 😘
Absolute joyous chaos.
never seen this one! thks
I got to go to the show. Big thanks and electrifying memories.
Mick jaggers stage presence is crazy
Love how Mick gets the words wrong but he doesn't care, he is just having fun. Plus only Mick Jagger could do that arse shake at the end there. This certainly does bring a smile to the face 🙂

Don't forget Bryan Adams.
With Rick Parfitt and Howard Jones.
A ton of huge talent on stage there eh?
the net worth is an awful lot too!
If you look in the background at about 2:50 you can see one example of where Midge Ure is kind of conducting that mess where he's giving the motion to lower the tempo.
*lower the volume
Jagger sporting his pre gig shampoo and set giving him an unruly mane for the performance.
Fascinating how quickly the band switched and recovered from what they were playing to the second middle 8 (bridge) chord sequence…
Not enough guitars up there.
DANCIN' LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW ! WOW ! 🎸
What a concert DAMN!
We were there, just a few rows from the front! The good old days.
I will always love you Syd - what a complete showbiz is.
This is so Awesome!
absolutely brilliant, why i have i not seen this before?
That was a GREAT show all the way through.
That was hilarious! 🙂
Thanks for uploading that, ha ha!
I was there and thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Then it ended and back to the BBC studio I went ....
a huge jam!
Aside from all those already mentioned below, I also see Elton John, Bryan Adams, Midge Ure, Mark King.. and ...Eric Clapton ?!
+Edmund Chew
and paul mc cartney
Francis Rossi and Rick Parfft Quo
WOW - this was an outstanding superhot great night great night of the best ones together on stage -
enjoy the other vids, too
Para mi forma de percibir las cosas Mick Jagger tiene un magnetismo muy padre que lo transmite al publico.
Es una virtud que Dios le ha dado y se le agradece.
Jagger transmite su gusto por la musica.
Que a todo dar.
The only live version I've seen in 35 years.
thank you very much for this!
Something tells me this wasn’t rehearsed at all choreography wise because there all over the place but it makes it look better because there haveing fun
Who in their right mind would want to share a stage with the master performer Jagger ?
People seemed happier in the 80s
And John Illsley, Jack Sonny too! and also the guys from Status Quo. Damn these british (with the permission of Sonny) are good!!!
Thanks for posting!!!!
Can`t see any Jack Sonni , Midge ure is there
Jagger always had great hair...
Quien estuvo ahí se sacó la lotería !!, ver a todas esas leyendas no tiene precio
Awesome amount of Real Talent up on that stage. I’d have done any dam thing to be there, then!
You can barely hear David.
And smth tells me that this wasn't rehearsed 😅🤔
it wasn't
Wow 1st time seen this Booom rip Bowie 🙏🙏🙏
Mick had ALL the hair! Holy shit!
They made an appearance to generate money for a trust fund so lighten up on the bad vibe putdowns please!

@@michelez715 It was spur of the moment. Pointless criticizing spontanaeity. Whoever was there had a fantastic one off amazing time. A mini live aid
This is just great
we danced in them streets in Philadelphia, Pa. every chance we had we'd be dancin' in them Philly streets.
Omg So Much Guitar Players On one stage?! I’m impressed
Geez there are a lot of very good musicians on that stage.
Bowie seem like he doesn't enjoy at all as he wants leave the stage as soon as possible 😂
I wonder if they had a line before they went on
the very best
I wonder if they rehearsed beforehand.... LOL
mick dominated that performance
KC0462 because of the sound guy.
Cause of Jagger voice.
@@Methilde Because of the sound guy.
@@sexysadie2901 Yep, guess the sound engineer went on break and turned off everyone’s mic but Mick’s
the lads!
Estavam loucos
Let's all be honest here. When you forget about who these guys are and their star power and just evaluate their performance, it was pretty awful.
+PackerBronco

Its the fault of the sound people. David is clearly giving his all but his mic is way too low.
Wow!!!! Super!
never seen this one! thks
Way too light on Bowie and way too much on Jagger.

Just wow
Just....WOW!
Reminds me of Stella street 😂
on en fait plus des comme ça
Piano is good
What Energy!

Completly right. Good analysis.
Wow
😍😍😍
JAGGER IS IN GOOD VOICE & LOOKS GREAT !! BOWIE IS SUPERFLUOUS, AS ALWAYS !!
Ritchie Cross because the sound guy seems to have forgotten to turn on his mic.
try to sing with a mic turned off, and then we'll talk. And idk if u now that you dont need despise a musician to exalt the other right?
@@V-grandraccoon No, you're paranoiac ????
Just how many famous people are on this stage. Londons Crazy Train of music?
