You have Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Mark Knopfler, Bryan Adams, Eric Clapton and Phil Collins...ALL TOGETHER IN ONE SINGLE STAGE!!! WHAT ELSE???!!!
Give Mick and David a 10 out of 10 for energy and performance. Give the sound guy a 5 for not balancing David's microphone so everyone could hear his voice too. Still fun to ses them all together. Quite a star studded stage.
Bowie and Jagger put out a video duet of this song, so between them it was obviously well rehearsed. For the rest, it's a 3 chord pop song played without arrangement.
I was here for this concert, directly across from Charles and Diana! The only picture I got of Mick Jagger came out blurry so there wasn't any proof that he actually performed there. Thanks to you, I could relive this again. Thank you so much!!!
As the performance was unplanned/unrehearsed, I think some of the musicians were expecting the "Philadelphia, PA" part of the song just after 1:57 - but ended up briefly out of the tune as Jagger decided instead to advance to another "it doesn't matter what you wear".
Something tells me this wasn’t rehearsed at all choreography wise because there all over the place but it makes it look better because there haveing fun
If you look in the background at about 2:50 you can see one example of where Midge Ure is kind of conducting that mess where he's giving the motion to lower the tempo.
Jaggers just a natural performer and loves it and forgets all self consciousness and just lets himself go while Bowie by his own admission dislikes it,has to work at it and be a character,it’s why he created characters
They made an appearance to generate money for a trust fund so lighten up on the bad vibe putdowns please! Its not about them but the cause they decided to promote by their presence... This was FUN while helping out!
Get off your high horse! People don't suspend their critical faculties just because something was done for charity. This was not a great performance, and people have a right to say so. The charity got its money anyway, despite the less than wonderful turn.
+PackerBronco You're right to a point. But this was unannounced, unplanned and more than likely unrehearsed. The sound people didn't have time to know how to turn the knobs for this song. But in a way, that was a hallmark of these 1980's charity concerts was seeing the performers improvise, ad lib. In the 80's everything was choreographed, rehearsed and sounded perfect with little opportunity to just go with the flow and do the best you can. Moments like this usually don't happen twice.
The greatest mystery of rock n roll to me is how there hair grows so quick all the time. Like Lennon 67 really short and less then a year later it's down to his shoulders same as McCartney long locks in let it be! Wonder if it's fake hair
It's fair. But in all sincerity it could have been better if all three worked together on this song to make it really something really to talk about. The song fell short, real short.
When you have a film with a plethora of famous actors, such as, « The Towering inferno « , it just doesn’t work . The same applies to musicians. This is truly awful, compared with, less ego es!
a definite low point in both of their careers lol ... the music video is even worse....this song needs to flushed down the toilet of bad ideas and forgotten about forever. lol
Sound person fucked up. All I can hear is Mick. Jagger being the worst singer it really sucks not to hear the superior vocals of Bowie. Otherwise would have been amazing. McCartney, Elton John, Bowie Jagger. Jagger is the least talented of course.
I like Jagger and Bowie, but this version of this song sucks just as much live as it did on the record. What David and Mick too busy to write an original song for a proper duo? It could have been epic!
You have Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Mark Knopfler, Bryan Adams, Eric Clapton and Phil Collins...ALL TOGETHER IN ONE SINGLE STAGE!!! WHAT ELSE???!!!
If I was cameraman, would become epileptic!!
What else? 23-year-old me in the audience. Genuinely jaw-dropping.
I think i see Brian May playing guitar
What a fucking band
They're looking on at them incredulously like
We chose the right career path
also Keith Richards
as of 2020 only 1 on that stage not here anymore, all pretty long lived
Give Mick and David a 10 out of 10 for energy and performance. Give the sound guy a 5 for not balancing David's microphone so everyone could hear his voice too. Still fun to ses them all together. Quite a star studded stage.
I want Jaggers hair. Its so lush and fluffy!
David Bowie sings a great top line - soooo professional.
2:09
*Mick* : every guy, grab a girl!
**grabs Bowie by his waist**
Hadn't noticed!! You made my day. He's one in a million!!
something tells me this was not rehearsed at all
The cast is crazy!!!!
when mick grabs david at “every guy grab a girl” my heart BURSTS
You know don't you?
Bowie and Jagger put out a video duet of this song, so between them it was obviously well rehearsed. For the rest, it's a 3 chord pop song played without arrangement.
I wish i was as high as sir mick was that day
David you are so missed!! Mick you never lose your energy. Love this song with the two of you !!!
Mick Jagger's immense crop of hair is just off the wall . Bowie always exuded class whenever and wherever he performed .
Goodbye starman. I'll see you around.
+Bucket ofBiscuits trust and believe, you will...go outside and look up- there you go
I love Mick's hair.
Thank you!!!

Lots of legends 🙏
I cannot thank you enough. Some of my favourite musicians all together...PRICELESS :}
This is terrific. What energy
Cocaine is amazing !!
I miss Bowie~!
PURE JOY !!!!!! Thanks to whoever posted this...
two legends
The cast is crazy!!!!
something tells me this was not rehearsed at all
Something tell me it looks more like a Las Vegas show.
can they rock???
I think Mick forgets his jacket but picks up Bowie’s for him
Jagger sporting his pre gig shampoo and set giving him an unruly mane for the performance.
A ton of huge talent on stage there eh?
the net worth is an awful lot too!
Fascinating how quickly the band switched and recovered from what they were playing to the second middle 8 (bridge) chord sequence…
I was there and thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Then it ended and back to the BBC studio I went ....
As the performance was unplanned/unrehearsed, I think some of the musicians were expecting the "Philadelphia, PA" part of the song just after 1:57 - but ended up briefly out of the tune as Jagger decided instead to advance to another "it doesn't matter what you wear".
What a concert DAMN!
Thank you for posting this! This was one of the best concerts to ever happen.
I will always love you Syd - what a complete showbiz is.
never seen this one! thks
Something tells me this wasn’t rehearsed at all choreography wise because there all over the place but it makes it look better because there haveing fun
This is so Awesome!
Geez there are a lot of very good musicians on that stage.
You can barely hear David.
And smth tells me that this wasn't rehearsed 😅🤔
it wasn't
We were there, just a few rows from the front! The good old days.
If you look in the background at about 2:50 you can see one example of where Midge Ure is kind of conducting that mess where he's giving the motion to lower the tempo.
*lower the volume
absolutely brilliant, why i have i not seen this before?
Jaggers just a natural performer and loves it and forgets all self consciousness and just lets himself go while Bowie by his own admission dislikes it,has to work at it and be a character,it’s why he created characters
Completly right. Good analysis.
Omg So Much Guitar Players On one stage?! I’m impressed
Wow 1st time seen this Booom rip Bowie 🙏🙏🙏
jagger n bowie n mc
rtney
That was hilarious! 🙂
Thanks for uploading that, ha ha!
They made an appearance to generate money for a trust fund so lighten up on the bad vibe putdowns please!

@@michelez715 It was spur of the moment. Pointless criticizing spontanaeity. Whoever was there had a fantastic one off amazing time. A mini live aid
This is just great
the very best
What Energy!
People seemed happier in the 80s
Wow!!!! Super!
I wonder if they had a line before they went on
Wow
I never knew that David Bowie won the Masters. Didn't even know he played golf.
I was there......
rest in piece David Bowie
What about RIP Rick Parfitt😎
Let's all be honest here. When you forget about who these guys are and their star power and just evaluate their performance, it was pretty awful.
+PackerBronco

Its the fault of the sound people. David is clearly giving his all but his mic is way too low.
Bowie seem like he doesn't enjoy at all as he wants leave the stage as soon as possible 😂
on en fait plus des comme ça
amazingmix
Esto si que era un autentico "Princes Trust concert "
3 rock hero
Not enough guitars up there.
So hip!
Most of these people are still alive
Jeremy Clarkson would say:I went on internet and i found this.
🥲
Hmmm not really at their best, the original video is great 😏
Mick Jagger Moves by Harry
The greatest mystery of rock n roll to me is how there hair grows so quick all the time. Like Lennon 67 really short and less then a year later it's down to his shoulders same as McCartney long locks in let it be! Wonder if it's fake hair
Mick has no equal
It's fair. But in all sincerity it could have been better if all three worked together on this song to make it really something really to talk about. The song fell short, real short.
ポールのmcにミックとボウイのデュエット最高やなぁ😂
Remember to Marta & vandellas
duo culte
Off their bins
O maior dos três Deuses foi primeiro!!!!!! porque?
em matéria de rock Jagger better!
最後にコレ!!!!
Harry Styles reminds me of Mick Jagger.
Elton and David in the same scene be like: david : ohu nou I dON’t wanna SInG bC ElTON plaY de piano!1!
When you have a film with a plethora of famous actors, such as, « The Towering inferno « , it just doesn’t work .
The same applies to musicians.
This is truly awful, compared with, less ego es!
they don't deserve to be presented by Paul. Paul should have closed that concert
what concert is this?
+Jack Solomon Price's Trust (charity event in London '86)
Voor loek😅
Can't believe people believe this! This is obviously impersonators. Why would jagger be singing like this
im scared
Bowie can barely follow the most powerful voice of jagger
This kinda shit is why Nirvana was necessary just as much as Hair Metal was
this was a purposeful diss to McCartney. they would never have done that to Lennon. pretty sad.
2:43 MIck and Paul sing in one mic
No. You are blind sir.
horrible audio
Need chemo now cheers
Is that Glen Campbell back there
Mick is great, but I’ve never heard him sing.
a definite low point in both of their careers lol ... the music video is even worse....this song needs to flushed down the toilet of bad ideas and forgotten about forever. lol
Mick take the stage because he`s a clown and Bowie keeps his style.
He is way better than Bowie.
@@paulmcnamara4774 Been a large Bowie fan since 1971 so I must say nopp but I love stones aswell.
clock his tea tommy! periodtt
Words cannot describe how epicly horrible this is.
Jagger fucks this up. Stepping all over Bowie and ruins the whole song...not that it was a good idea to record that anyway, haha
Way too light on Bowie and way too much on Jagger.
You can barely hear David.
And smth tells me that this wasn't rehearsed 😅🤔
Compare Mick e scompaiono gli altri!!
Sound person fucked up. All I can hear is Mick. Jagger being the worst singer it really sucks not to hear the superior vocals of Bowie. Otherwise would have been amazing. McCartney, Elton John, Bowie Jagger. Jagger is the least talented of course.
Fuck you! jagger better! McCartney ? kkkkkkkkkk Bowie ? kkkkkkkkkkkk
KKK - oh you're one of those ignorant uneducated untalented sad sacks of basement dwelling trolls
Also Jagger promoted LSD for MK-Ultra/CIA in the 60s according to the 'Memoirs of Billy Shears'
Funny how Jagger fans don't need hating others one, like Bowie fans do. Is it meaning something.
I like Jagger and Bowie, but this version of this song sucks just as much live as it did on the record. What David and Mick too busy to write an original song for a proper duo? It could have been epic!
Kev G. The sound guy didn’t have enough time to turn up David’s mic so I doubt they would’ve had enough time to write a song.
Never appraciate this dancing song, superficial.
Not a fan of any of these people... but that place must of shit itself when the 3 of them were on stage together.
