This gun was made in my prefecture. When I was a child, Miroku's president came to my junior highschool, and teach about matchlock gun to the students. It was nice experiment... My English maybe not right, but if you guys need to read Miroku's website or want to see lineups, I will check and transrate it.
Hi Johnny-Smell like Browningy? Isnt it a Browning in disguise? Yes its the best there is!! i use an mk60 30"in grade 5 & i love it!! I know id fall in love with this gun too- the engraveing oozes Browning B25 d5g grade to me? Simply beautiful!! Alot of gun for the money👍
Unfortunately this has confirmed my earlier suspicions... I’ll be selling, saving and thinking of nothing else until I have one of my own! The MK60 was going to be my first game gun, the MK60 English Field will be! Maybe in time for TGS Game day?! 🤔
Too short for me in wood to want to extend, I thought long and hard about it though. Need a used one as it seems a shame to rip the wood off and put it in a box
having watched dozens of your very entertaining vids. At last I have cracked. Just got to comment. could you please pronounce. MIROKU. as spelt. So many people seem to pronounce it it many different ways. The 4th letter is an O not a U. IT is MIROKU not MIRUKU. Not so much a critisism as a comment. Hope you are not offended. I really enjoy your channel.
Beautiful as this obviously is, it’s Way to heavy for a field gun, you would have to eat a whole packet of Weetabix on shoot day to finish in one piece 😂👍
Looks 👌. But better than the high pheasant is a big claim! I wouldn’t get rid of my high pheasant for it. At least not until they bring out a 32” barrel with full and fuller chokes 😁🤣
I wouldn’t get rid of my custom 38 trapper for it for the same reason, however this is most definitely more versatile. Best just have both and cover all bases.
I like it I really do, I want one. Did you say what choke size it has? To bad on the non steel, because here in Sweden that's the only thing you can use on clays.
@@snook1249 I guess Miroku are more cautious than Krieghoff all of their shotguns with fixed choke will take steel shot up to us5 regardless of choke, i got screw-in chokes in mine so its steel proof.
David Johansson I like the simplicity and balance a fixed choke gun gives, however there is still that nagging worry that it would be an expensive misfortune to bulge the barrels. I've shot gamebore 7 1/2 super steel (clay cartridges) through all kinds of 12 bores with no issues what so ever, and hopefully sooner or later it will be viable to make 20 bore steel clay cartridges. I'd want 1/4 and 1/2 regardless as this is what I end up settling for. I shoot bismuth now for wildfowling so the 'big steel' worries are not an issue. Do you get 20 bore steel clay cartridges in Sweden?
@@snook1249 I totally agree with you about the simplicity and balance of a fixed choke gun, I'm tempted to buy a fixed choke barrel set to my Parcours (1/2-3/4) that way I have the best of both fixed and Teague. Yes we have 20 bore steel cartridges here, they are not so common but you can get them.
@@davidjohansson2282 would you happen to know which manufacturer's make 20 bore steel clay cartridges? Yes 2 sets of barrels has to be the ultimate solution!

Notice the Christie’s style presentation of the Guns features using the ‘in depth connoisseur’ blather that makes visiting auction houses so tiresome. Ladies and Gentlemen who’s going to open the bidding ? Any competent well trained Gunmaker will tell you the following. Engraving will not make you or your gun shoot better. Figured stocks are inferior to plain straight grained walnut. Why ? Because fiddle back is by its very nature weak and less dimensionally stable. But if your a shop floor gunmaker there is a brief but eloquent description for ‘ high grade’ shotguns. Pretty toys for pretty boys.
Lol... Brian I bet you only do the missionary position too and keep your socks on... I mean, any competent shagger will tell you that it's the best way to impregnate the female of the species and that retaining your socks reduces the likelihood of cramp. Boring is good ay Brian 😂👍
M.K. Chase . That’s probably the lamest attempt at amusing retort I have read. It’s not related to the subject at hand because of course your caught with your pants down behind the pavilion. As for the missionary with my socks on ? If I Have not tried it with or without my socks on then its probably not worth the candle. But I do confine myself to the fairer sex and if that makes me old fashioned i’m not to proud to admit it. You on the other hand ? Oh let me guess. Buggered by the house master and captain, laughed at behind your back by the beaters and left for dead in a real fight. The difference between you and me ? I can do it uphill down dale all night and all day long. So that tools like you can gloat and boast over another mans REAL achievement. Your move. Unless your bored already 😎😎😎 and prefer 🦄 sex.
It is well known that If a gun stock is going to break, it is most likely going to be a G5 Miroku. It is also well known that balance, handling and fit are the only things that matter. Luckily pretty guns make a lot of people happy. How dull the world would be if we all shot Browning A1’s, beretta onyx’s and painted our houses magnolia.
Nothing compares with a B C Miroku for their quality , longevity ,reliability and bang for your buck !.

Hey there I want to ask if the new Baikal sxs shotguns are worth their price
A beautiful looking gun, i'm sure it would love lovely in my cabinet. ;-)
I like the deep engraving
Lol! Clearly smitten there mate! Lovely thing, makes me want to take up game shooting just to own one! haha!
Ok , ill admit it looks more lovely than a blaser F16 sporter but does it handle better?
Very likely so.
hi Jon, What is the difference between the High Pheasnt and the English Field?
What is a Miroku XLR, came across one on guntrader? but never heard of one before.
Great review.
Does Miroku make this with 28" barrels?
Is there anyway to get a new one in America?
Absolutely beautiful gun!! Do they still make this particular model?
Yup it's Miroku's newest gun
What happens if they ban the use of lead
Have the choke opened up.
My poor Baikal AK46 noooooooooo
How could one even get one in the U.S.??

Anyone know where I can buy the forend on this gun from?
In the UK?
