It was about 26 minutes left in the final episode & I asked my wife, is it a part 3? No way they’re going to be able to wrap all of this up in 26 minutes lol
In reality, the Byrde’s would never have survived in the Ozarks as long as they did. Wendy should have got her come-uppance and it should have been Ruth that ensured it. The Byrde’s literally wiped out the whole Langmore family and they do not deserve to carry on. Also, what is up with the FBI? They are so meek and mild in it literally letting the Byrde’s do whatever they want and don’t make me bring up that car crash…
Really, I think the Byrdes getting punished in some way would've been the best ending. Like, throughout the show we only see Ruth suffering and it ends with Ruth dying. The Byrdes right from the beginning keep getting away with everything, and the show ends with... them getting away with everything. Such a meaningless and lazy ending

Mindhunter & Ozark are two of the best shows ever produced by Netflix. Just so sad Mindhunter stalled at season 2 before the BTK storyline could mesh into the series.
I didn't cry when the show ended, but then I watched this and for some reason, I was bawling the whole way through. I'm just gonna miss this show so much and everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy their job so much. Hopefully they get an award this year as well, especially Laura, she's terrific this season, even more so than the previous seasons, and that's saying a lot
Great writing, an absorbing premise, rich, complicated characters, multi layered and unpredictable storytelling. What more can you ask for in a show? Intelligence, dark humour... Ozark has it all. Just finished it and I wish there was more, really enjoyed it
Same, I appreciate the talent so much that I've seen the full series about three or four times through, but watching this made me sad for knowing how strong they were all connected, and then it just ends.
Sometimes, the characters don’t even have to have a conversation. The camera work is so good that it tells a story in every episode & I think that makes a great movie/series
Loved the characters and the world building in this series, haven't felt anything like it since Breaking Bad. I agree the ending could've been better but the ending that we got doesn't ruin the show for me.
ozark was literally a part of my life since I started watching it during pandemic 2020...the Byrd house use to calm me down whenever I use to see it...this was one of those series which I never wanted it to end...❤
Farewell Ozark, you will always be on my list as one of the best shows I've watched. Learned quite a lot from it too. Jason Bateman, you really outdid yourself on this and Laura Linney will have her Emmy this year around. Absolute Masterpiece of a show, thank you all for your creation.
But it screams "to be continued". It wasn't really an ending and Netflix and their execs and shareholders should pay the big bucks to bring it back and bring Ruth back too. Be easy. Marty wakes up after that car accident and all of it was a bad dream. Ruth still alive and boom 3 more seasons without even getting tired.
@@linkmarquez4947 agree, there was a noticeable shift in tone in the final series.. people's behavior became out of character and erratic. The ending was very unsatisfying...personally I'd have had The Byrdes' children being murdered and Marty and Wendy finally realising the consequences of their 'lifestyle'. Ruth was great.
@@marcchrys totally agree with you, Byrd family didn´t really pay for going deeper and deeper, Wendy was ok with the idea of Marty going and taking charge of the cartel in Mexico, she should´ve die instead of Ruth, who was born in the wrong place and wanted out, send Wyatt to college and all that
Tom Pelphrey is one of the best actor I have ever seen, I mean i cant even describe..whenever he is there in frame, you can't and dont want to see anything else..the scene when he is says that I forgive her (his sister) ohhh mannnn...I just hope to see more work of him.
I loved Ozark one of my favourite shows of all time but for me I felt they needed an extra 6 episodes to finish the show off perfectly as it did feel a bit rushed but that's not taking away what a masterpiece this was. I'll miss this show so much, the writing, the acting, the character arcs was absolutely incredible.
This show was so well done. The cinematography and blue shading. The music and sound effects. The TALENT! Just such a great show. I'm going to miss it. But it's a perfect series. It didn't go on too long and every season was terrific.
This show was simply captivating for me. I found myself spending almost entire days off from work watching one episode after another. The ending turned out to be similar to what I had expected but when it all actually played out I found myself feeling both sad and glad at the same time. Sad that the show was ending and nearly everyone had been killed off but glad that the Byrd's came out on top when all was said and done..... Awesome series that people will be watching many years from now.......
The characters and the actors were a GOLD MINE!!! It felt like the character is written specifically for them and they stay with you throughout like Buddy was a strange old guy on his death bed, no one, even the audience didn't care about but he turned into such a memorable character that I kept missing him till the last episode. Also, Wendy being played by Laura Linney, God, her character would annoy me 1 second and them make me be in awe of her the very next moment. The sides and balance that both Wendy and Marty's character had felt so flawed yet perfect and real. Then the dynamics between the Charlotte and Jonah was great. The journey both of them went through felt quite real and personal.
Best tv show ever, their acting and the dialogues are very so natural, that’s what I appreciate from it. You will notice they directed it meticulously from their facial expressions to the extras and passersby.
If you’ve never watched The Outsider on HBO- watch it. It’ll scratch the itch. First two episodes directed by and starring Bateman, other episodes directed/written by a couple of other Ozark’s production members. It’s based off Stephen King, but hey the “Ozark-feel” is still there.
Amazing show, keeps you on the edge to the very end. You just don't know who and when someone is going to die. Jason Bateman is on another level here, nice to see him shine with his different side of his acting abilities and also a great director.

Laura's breakdown in the van after abandoning her brother is just exquisite. It felt like watching a real person grieving the loss of a loved one. It didn't register as acting at all.

This show drew me into it's corrupted twisted and intriguing world. I've always admired Bateman and loved him for his dry and witty humor. Arrested Development literally leaves me in stitches. I've always wanted to see him play serious or sensual role. After watching him play the persuasive business man in Ozark... I have absolute respect for him as an actor. He was making bad deals look so alluring. This character was absolutely perfect. Julia Garner is amazing in her own right. She literally made me LOVE her even though I hated her too. I just binge watched this show in the past two weeks, all four seasons and I absolutely loved it!!! Such wonderful world building and great characters who were complex and also had moments of true humanity and emotion! Also, the writing was excellent and while the finale left a bit to be desired, I think it was very smart and I appreciate the intentionality in how they ended it. I miss these characters already and wish I could stay in this world with them forever! And I really hope Laura Linney wins an Emmy this year, as she absolutely deserves it!! Also, Julia Garner is deserving of an Emmy award for her performance in season four, especially episodes seven and eight! This is one of the best shows I have seen in years and I thank Netflix and the cast and crew for making such a brilliant masterpiece!
The highlight of the show was Julia Garner and Jason Bateman chemistry. Started with the aim of scratching each others back and ended up caring for each other like a family. Julia Garner was the best actress on this show.
this show is so well-written, acted and executed that i totally believe all the relationships established, even the two-month long romance between ben and ruth. the writers didn't pull any punches and pushed every character to their uttermost inner truth, up to the very last character additions like javi and his mom and even rachel shaw.
I loved this show so much it was a awesome set fantastic story The Mob Boss just made for me..But Ruth your earned that award and Iason Bateman your an awesome Dude..Season 4 can not be the end

I loved this series. The most intense and rough to watch. Every episode was intense and kept you on the edge of your seat. I could never get enough. Like X-Files on steroids. Please try to give us more. I understand why this story was over but I know I think everyone wants more. Bring it back. Surprise us all. 😁🙏.

Why do people say this like stranger things doesn't exist? Don't give me the realistic bs when half of ozark is so unrealistic its hard to take serious
@@Dapryor niche or not it's better. Story flows better, the show does a good job establishing timelines and keeping continuity, they don't just throw random shit in the middle of the season and hope it sticks. Ozark was a good show in seasons 1 and 2 and then went complete sjw and became a completely different show, all the way down to the main character going from marry byrde to marty being on screen for 1 reasons. To get shit on by Wendy. Show was a joke by the end
Amazing show. the locations, the cast the story..the whole vibe. a true masterpiece. really. All the time these new problems, often multiple huge problems at the same time. It really makes you become one of the characters and think like.. shit what options do we have, how do we get out of this situation. loved the show and I will miss it. For everyone who didn't saw it yet. Watch and enjoy!

Don't thank Netflix--they canceled it prematurely. F*** them. Great show cast and crew all around. 44 episodes isn't enough. They rushed Last Kingdom too. Same deal. Canceled too early.
GOD I am going to miss this show! In my opinion, one of the best show ever created. From the story to the characters! The best!!! Then, there's RUTH!!!
Not sure how the show could have tied things up any differently. Marty Bryd ultimately saved his life and the lives of his family which was his desire from the moment that he found out about the cartel and their involvement with the company he worked for. Although it took several years and several attempts but he did what he had to to stay alive from day 1. His wife just dug the hole deeper as she made moves out of greed and envy but that's what she was about. That's what the affair was as well as her father's walk down memory lane exposing her younger years, although he was the cause for her selfishness. Wendy was Marty's downfall because of her selfishness and if the table had of been turned Wendy would have killed every one including her kids. Wendy probably would have fought Carmella for Omar's place if she could have found a way. But it wasn't on her, it was on Marty and he kept them alive. Mission accomplished.
THANK YOU TO THIS CAST AND CREW FOR TAKING US ON THE GREATEST RIDE YOU COULD’VE EVER TAKEN US ON! VERY SINGLE FAN IS GOING TO MISS EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU IN SOME WAY OR ANOTHER. THANK YOU THANK YOU OZARK FOR GIVING US A WORLD TO TRULY FEEL AS THOUGH WE WERE LIVING IN IT WITH THESE CHARACTERS. EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS SHOW IS NOW A LEGEND. THANK YOU OZARK
Perfect spin off idea: Ruth gets shot but doesn't die. Her new spin off show starts with her sitting up after being shot and help arriving to save her. She then becomes the crime boss of the Ozarks. I think the producers missed a gold mine here.
I was disappointed in the ending, not because of the writing or direction, but because as a viewer I really wanted the Byrd family to break through their paradigm and finally be out of the business and going back to what normal is left, especially since the kids wanted out. In the end, they just do what needs to be done in order for them to hold on to their dirty secrets, despite who gets hurt. it really was a great finale, it wasn’t the ending I wanted, it was the ending that was meant to be. Ruth didn’t help with losing the target on her. She’s was a beast, and stood her ground until her death. I want to see more. This can’t be the end. It feels like more is going to happen. I’ve grown to admire Julia Garner as an actress, and wish to see her in other projects. I have Inventing Anna next in the que!!
Would love to see a continuation of some kind later down the road! The ending was a bit blunt but it had to end some time! Congratulations to cast and crew for an outstanding series! Will definitely miss all the characters!! Best TV shows Ever IMO!!!! 1) True Detective (season 1) 2)Ozark! 3)Breaking Bad

🤔 shut the hell up respectfully.
One of the greatest shows in television history. I'm going to miss it.
Man this made me emotional… Ozark is such an amazing show. Bunch of amazing and talented people. ❤️
It’s sad that it’s over One of the best shows on Netflix I will definitely be watching all episodes again
That's what they want. Us watching repeats because they refuse to pay the big bucks for successful series to continue to their full fruition.
I loved this show so much it was a awesome set fantastic story The Mob Boss just made for me..But Ruth your earned that award and Iason Bateman your an awesome Dude..Season 4 can not be the end
it wasn't a perfect final season. but I am grateful they got a chance to wrap it up. it was an happy ending but also quite realistically painful.
I love Ozark, Hello from Germany ( Hamburg)
Loved the way Ruth handled her death...still running the show ....great just great
One of my favourite shows ever .. I'm buying a Ruth Langmore t-shirt 100% Congrats to the whole crew I love the sound and music in every cap I got so TENSE
Loved this show! Sad to see it go but enjoyed every minute of it. ❤️
ridiculously awesome scriptwriters, filmmaking crews, talents team . . . for this series. We rarely have a creat series film like this one lately. One and only one of my favorite American Series on Netlix right at this moment.
I loved this series. The most intense and rough to watch. Every episode was intense and kept you on the edge of your seat. I could never get enough. Like X-Files on steroids. Please try to give us more. I understand why this story was over but I know I think everyone wants more. Bring it back. Surprise us all. 😁🙏.
Farewell to one of the greatest shows I have ever watched. The writing, cast, scenery was perfect, or near perfect. Special shout out to Felix Solis: you are the only drug dealer that I have ever rooted for in cinema! Tremendous Acting, amigo. God bless to all involved in this Amazing project. A+
Jason Bateman, Laura Linney two goats of the show
A Great Series - one of the best ever! The joy on set, which is absolutely important, came through on to the screen. A Living Master Piece. Thank you guys for an awesome series. Will definitely be doing a re-run soon.
what a cast and what a masterpiece this is!!!
I am really going to miss this show.
It's become a part of my life and I am looking to watch it all-over again in the near future..
The end had my anxiety through the roof , and oh ,why Ruth 😭
I love the ending! I didn’t expect it. I love how they wrapped it up. What an outstanding series. 👏🏻
Probably the greatest Netflix series to ever be created. Broke my heart how they ended the last season. 😔
Why do people say this like stranger things doesn't exist? Don't give me the realistic bs when half of ozark is so unrealistic its hard to take serious
@@IsaacMSingleton1 Stranger Things is much more niche.
@@IsaacMSingleton1 Marty was being shit on to drive home the point that Wendy was a psycho lol. She's not a hero.
Great show and cast. Just started watching it a few weeks ago and binged all four seasons. Loved it.
I was legitimately depressed when this show ended. I am convinced there will never be another show like it.
Best in the world this shows
👍👍👍👍
Ozark Show deserve Oscar award 💯⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💗
Amazing show. the locations, the cast the story..the whole vibe. a true masterpiece. really. All the time these new problems, often multiple huge problems at the same time. It really makes you become one of the characters and think like.. shit what options do we have, how do we get out of this situation. loved the show and I will miss it. For everyone who didn't saw it yet. Watch and enjoy!
I just cried last night because of farewell of ozark !! Brilliant and intelligent cast and crew and all the characters are fantastic. What else i can ? Just love the show and the wonderful cast !! One of my favourite show ever ! 🥺❤️ Thanks Netflix and Ozark team !!
True.
Two most shocking plot twist of the show: 1) Darlene and Wyatt's relationship 2) Ruth's death.
bens actor was just so insanely good man
Ozark and True Detective(season 1,then 2) were the only series that hooked me in and had me binging...Dandy watch.
I am still gonna rewatch this show. I love all the characters here.
Best show ever made! The ending was just phenomenal. I can’t wait to see what Jason Bateman does next!
You havent seen a lot of shows
@@His0ka give me some good show suggestions
@@luccienv bump
@@luccienv nvm most likely going to say the wire or sopranos. sigh
Great job to all involved. Just finished the last episode the other day. One of the greats.
Literally from top to bottom the greatest show ever made.
Addictive show. Loved it. Please bring us more.
THANK YOU OZARK
why are you yelling?
Your cap lock is stuck.
Perfect spin off idea: Ruth gets shot but doesn't die. Her new spin off show starts with her sitting up after being shot and help arriving to save her. She then becomes the crime boss of the Ozarks. I think the producers missed a gold mine here.
Acting = Amazing
Directing = Great
Production = Great
Writing = Very good
Ending = Could have been better
Netflix rushed it to be over. Money 💰
THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER WITNESSED. IM GLAD I GOT TO WATCH IT AS IT CAME OUT. AWESOME WORK FROM EVERYONE
Best pilot episode of almost any show and one of the best first seasons ever. It got worse as time went on but what can you do?
Would love to see a continuation of some kind later down the road! The ending was a bit blunt but it had to end some time! Congratulations to cast and crew for an outstanding series! Will definitely miss all the characters!!
Best TV shows Ever IMO!!!!
1) True Detective (season 1)
2)Ozark!
3)Breaking Bad
I was really hoping for a behind the scenes to come. Very well deserved show. It will always be in my top favorites. Jason and Laura you guys done an outstanding job in Ozark. Love ya ❤
This was a great show - thank you to everyone who made it possible
The greatest & most underrated show ever
