I have tried multiple things and maybe 1 in 10 days my irons are decent. Went out on the range 3 days and don't think I gave ever hit irons as consistently. I do the drill and then when I practice I kind of stop at the hip point or just below and then do the back swing part and I would say 8 out of 10 of my irons are now crisp with the proper loft and distance. I love golf so much but I always felt like I wasn't getting anywhere. I'm glad I found your video Eric, you have increased my enthusiasm and enjoyment of the game to new levels. Top man!
Love to hear that my friend!!
I was about to give up golf because of inconsistencies in my swing. Then I saw this video. It’s become a game changer!
Love to hear that! Glad to pass along this drill!
I don’t play much golf but am in love with it. I’ve watch a lot of golf instruction videos. I know this one is defiantly the best. Game changer for sure.
Hope it helps!
Hello Eric and JT. I’m recently retired and am attempting to improve my game and I’ve had countless lessons over the years. This drill is absolutely incredible for me and clicked immediately! I needed to let you know because it makes such a difference for me and helped me hit the ball much more purely. I look forward to continue practicing this drill. I really appreciate your videos! Thanks!
Love to hear of that Brian! Appreciate the support my friend
I used this drill at the range today and it is amazing! You get the stretch, ground force, compression, club de-lofted, and the right-sided hit all in one. Pure gold!
Yessir!
Hello! This is the best golf swing video I've seen. Thank!
Appreciate it Igal!
Super informative content with a simplistic explanation love the content thanks guys
Thanks, John!
Thanks guys! I don’t know how many different channels Ive watched and drills Ive tried....this one....THIS one is head and shoulders the best drill I’ve ever tried. My swing felt so much more in control and the ball contact is pure and crisp every time.. a few days of doing this and its really blowing me away...just unbelievably effective. Luvvit.
Love to hear it!
I watch these videos quite frequently and This is one of the best drills/videos. kind of gave me the light bulb moment I needed. It would be cool to see this meshed in with some other backswing/downsing drills I feel like that lat activation and whipping through so to speak really puts confidence in a guys swing lol thanks for the lessons and drills much appreciated. Hope to come through in person in the future. Solid work, always keepin it vanilla lol
:) Appreciate it Damen....hope we get to meet one day!
I’ve been playing golf for 38 years and this is the best drill I have ever seen. This is really really good stuff.
Thanks, Steve! Glad to pass it along!
Awesome boys,,, looks like a winner , gonna start tomorrow morning no doubt!!! Covers slot of mistakes on my end!!! Ty again
Great drill to put into your regular practice. 10-20 reps as part of your warm up a few days per week
HI Eric and JT. This drill is a must. So many things packed into this drill. Instant feedback and checks throughout the drill. First time in years that I actually felt some level of control over my swing. Still a lot to work on in, but in just one session I left the range feeling like I had a drill to improve my swing gradually rather than a band-aid fix. Thank you both and love all the videos.
Our pleasure, Emmanuel! So glad you enjoyed this one!
A game-changer!
Thanks,
William
Glad to pass it along!
Eric, I have just been working the last 2 weeks to integrate some float loading into my swing. And I've used a drill a lot like this that did not use the float loading at all, just worked on a good static starting position. Can't wait to get to the range tomorrow and do this a hundred times a day, every day. Have improved my handicap by 4 strokes this year. I think you've given me another stroke with this drill. I marked this video as a favorite. THANKS!!!
Hope it helps my friend!
Eric - I really like this drill, even though I have only done it in the back yard so far! I like how it gets me to the proper follow through, which is one of my biggest problems. Thanks!
You got it, Greg! Glad to pass it along!
Hi Eric.
I watched this drill for the first time yesterday and took to the driving range. I took it slowly as you recommended using my 9,7 and 5 irons. I got very excited by the results. So I took my wife along with me today to watch. She has been coming out on the course with me during this tricky period. This time I used my wedge, 8 iron and 6 iron and as I moved through the gears the ball striking just got better and better. I got into rhythm with my sequencing and that made all the difference. Now here's the deal! I had a left hip replacement 9 months ago and I started back playing in when the lock down was eased. I have had lessons trying to find a way forward with reasonable success but this drill is on the money for me - big time! I think the concept of "float loading" might just be the answer as it seems to free my swing up so I don't have to OVER THINK the mechanics of the swing. I need to introduce it to my driver, fairway Woods and hybrids. Bring it on! Many thanks. 😊
Love to hear it, James! Heading in the right direction my friend!
another excellent lesson! thanks Eric
Thank you, William! Our pleasure!
Great video, can’t say thank you enough
Our pleasure, Emilio! Hope it continues to serve you well!
Tried this at the range yesterday with great results. Was really compressing my irons. Your best drill so far!!! Thank you Eric.
Love it!!
This is looking good..will take this to my next driving range session.TQ
Hope it helps! Happy to pass it along!
Your videos are what keep me motivated to bring my high handicap down to hopefully to 15
Lets do it!!
This guy is the grand master!!!!
:)
Fantastic, thanks for sharing
Thanks, Frank!
Great drill; my favourite. Covers it all; no pun intended.
:)
This drill/swing, with a few minor caveats, is how I swing. I'm glad to see you advocate it. The feel of keeping the trail arm straight provides width, shallow attack angle, and forces full use of the torso. At 71 years of age, I've trained myself to make this move, and the looser I get with it, the further the ball goes, and straight. 75-80% effort produces as much length as I ever produced when younger. There's much more to it than explained in this video, but definitely the right direction for golf swing teaching imho.
Thanks for the kind words-glad you found a good solution!
this drill helped me so much, all swing thoughts(too many minds) gone, this is really superb!!
Love it!
@@CogornoGolf I really love this drill, but doesn't work with hybrids and driver, any tips on longer clubs?
I am a believer!!!! Did this drill a couple of times at the range and went to the the course a couple of days later and literally hit the ball better than I have in YEARS. Awesome video, thank you!
Excellent! Love to hear that, Mike! Happy to pass it along!
Thank you for this drill. Felt great on the range.
you are welcome my friend!
Did this drill today- wow- changed my swing concept and seriously aided my swing. Fantastic drill!
Glad to hear that Leland!
Just spent 1.5 hrs on range with this drill. I am 49 and been playing since little and this is by far the best swing adjustment I have ever noticed. Simplified it and it give me a rhythm! Big thanks
Love to hear that, Joel!
I really believe Eric eats, sleeps and lives golf. This isn't just about selling a product with this guy. He's always working and I love the videos.
Appreciate it my friend :)
Great exercise!
Thanks-hope it helps!
Saw this drill this winter while in AZ and started using it. Great results. I almost wanted to make it my regular swing while playing but that would be goofy. So instead, I used it as my practice swing prior to hitting a shot and it paid off with better contact. Something about it that gets you in a good rhythm and good tempo. Great tip Eric!
Love it Steve!
So glad you guys mentioned the clubface 'pitfall'. I just wanna say that is a huge deal! This drill has basically been my golf swing for 2 months. Even with a short but athletic backswing I've been smokin the ball with this move and guys at my club are like 'where is all that power coming from? However, for some reason I went from hitting draws to an over the top slice and doubling my scores the last few rounds and was devastated. I couldn't understand why until today on course I realised exactly what you and JT said about the managing the face in the first move away. If you don't get it right the club doesn't move properly at all but if you do that first move right the amount of pressure you can generate is insane!! Great video guys and great that you include the caveats.
Appreciate it Christian! Glad to hear you are heading in the right direction!
Cheers Eric! Slowly but surely.🤙🏻
Eric, I watched this video and another about the right shoulder abduction and adduction. I married the two in my little indoor range and I felt the swing to be more powerful. As you pointed out the timing/syncing of the motions in the two vids is extremely important. In my practice garage range, the main error was a block and figured out my lower body (hips, legs) failed to continue the turning motion toward the target during the downswing. What needs to be emphasized, I think, is that, "squat, bump and turn" of the lower body. When I did that, the swing was as powerful as I have ever felt. Now, to a real range with real golf balls to see the result. I am confident I will be very pleased. Thank you.
Love to hear that, my friend! Keep me updated!
This has been a game changer for my game. I now have a flow and distance to my shots even my a 3/4 swing.
Love to hear that!
Great drill!!
Thanks, Steve!
Great tip! 👍
Appreciate it!
It makes a lot of sense, thx.
You got it1
Absolutely... 😀
Love this drill Eric : thanks.
BTW, the young Lady behind the camera looks pretty special!
:)
Amazing drill.
Thanks, Daniel! Glad to pass it along!
This has helped my over the top swing
Which gives me the deadly slice
Thanks
Love it Dan!
Love this drill, one question, when you incorporate this into the full swing when should your weight start transferring to your left side.
Hey Mike!
It would feel like its starting roughly 1/2 back during your backswing
Best drill ever!! You get the trophy! This cured my dead legs, and my weight transfer is so much better! Thank you!
Love it!!
👍 will try that
Hope it helps!
I am a scratch golfer who has been playing golf for over 30 years (I am 46 right now) and have suffered back issues after a small car accident that lead to a spine surgery. This drill helps me use the ground better and got me flushing my irons consistently. I am hitting my 7 iron 175 yards as I have improved my dynamic loft by shifting my weight a bit earlier while my hands still going up in my back swing increasing the slingshot motion. Awesome mate, you are a heluva coach.
Love to hear of the progress, Luis! Appreciate the kind words...glad to pass along this awesome drill!
I'm a self taught scratch golfer and I started doing this myself before I saw this video. That lead should going down initially then AROUND is huge. Great video.
I'm not bragging tho. In fact, I wish I would have gotten a lesson or two. Hurt my back a lot finding different ways of making contact with diff moves. Now I got it, but man it took a couple years.

Yessir
Incredible. I am on my way to shooting 9 over regularly and with better iron play can see myself shooting lowwr. This drill is it! Thanks Eric ,
Love it! Our pleasure!
I struggled with this yesterday. I am also working on combatting early extension, so maybe that is part of it. After about 8-10 reps I started making decent contact but was hitting a 30 yard hook. I’ll try again this weekend.
Hope it helps, Chris!
This drill looks like John Rahm’s stock swing…I like it 👍🏻
👊Thanks for watching, Colby!
I took this to the course with a full swing and I shot one of my best rounds. I eliminated the fat shots and my ball flight was straight vs a pull/overdraw. When I combined the squat from this drill with a finishing extend and the hips facing the target and the shoulders pointing up, my shots were really solid. Love it
Love to hear that, Steve!
Which videos are being referred to here?
OMG. Best ever. I'm hitting the best I ever have.
Love it!
One way to begin this drill is to start the club back and when it gets about a foot away from the ball, stop the swing completely....and then swing forward. Seems to force you to shift your weight and then swing thru. Then take it back to 2 feet and make progressively longer swings...to get to the point Eric mentions here.
I like it
I do this to get a feel for the transition and it works great for short and mid irons but have never been able to progress it to the full swing. Must be messing things up later on in the backswing. Maybe Jon Rahm is the way to go :-)
Hope it helps!
The title to this vid may be a bit over the top, but after 100's, maybe 1000+ YT golf vids, this one just made a world of difference for me on the range just now!
Lol gotta play the game with youtube man! I'm OK with us going too far with titles so long as it gets people to watch so I can actually help everyone if I think I have something that can help. Wish it weren't that way but a boring title that no one watches means I can't help anyone! All the best!
Totally understand, going to be working this at every range session. Thanks Eric!
Love it-its a really good drill to include in your regular practice!
Eric , New subscriber. Can I use this drill with my Driver and Woods please. Roger. From UK
Hey Rod!
Appreciate you being with us!
I would do the drill with only a short to mid iron..
But you can use the FEELS you get here with all clubs.
Thanks for drill. I’ve been using your previous suggested 10-4(4-10?) drill, can this be “combined” with that drill, or should this drill automatically be promoting an inside-out swing?
You got it.
No I would not do those together. Would separate.
Great drill! It really got me moving through the shot. Why isn't this the golf swing? What can't it do? Thanks!
Hey Robert!
Thanks! Float load type drills are definitely good ones to build a lot of the correct movements in the swing!
You COULD turn this in to a normal swing!
Went to range today and used the drill the entire time while mixing in a full swing every once and a while.
Very solid and very straight....could it be? I added ten yards to my mid irons. Excited to get to the course. Thanks so much!
I always struggled with casting the club....this drill actually had an immediate impact.
Glad to hear that, Marco!
E,
I tried this drill-wow!! After 15 mins of doing the drill, I became very consistent! TY. My only question is after impact, how do you finish the swing? When I do the finish it feels fake. Thanks
Hey Robert!
Glad to hear that my friend!
How to finish? I'm not sure specifically what to tell you here without seeing what you are doing and what feeling fake really means.
Here are some follow through details but not sure they will help with what you're talking about:

Great tip for iron shot! Does it mean no intentional hinge on wrist at all, the hinge only happened in the last foot upward wave? Can I use it to driver?
Hey Lando!
Yes and yes.
Eric-- Can you do a Master Class on Steep to Shallow? i.e. the Leadbetter "A" Swing, which is more doable for the weekend golfer than Matthew Wolff's swing, but can you cover his swing too? Leadbetter teaches right palm down to hinge 1/3 back by Right pocket, and a no-lift "piston" type of "turn" to elevate the club, right side feel. Wolff has his Left arm vertical at the top of his driver swing (not something I want to try). Frankly , this type of swing is the ONLY way that I can shallow the club. I want to learn more about steep to shallow.
Good idea....will see if we can get that on the list!
Love this drill Eric, it feels compact and yet so powerful.
Lag and shaft lean just come along for the ride, naturally.
And now for the obvious question, how does this work with the driver? 😂
Awesome, Shaun!
Same feels can work with driver but the setup needs to be different and head more behind the ball
I would not practice this with driver
Here is more on driver vs iron differences specifically: ruclips.net/video/TJtx-qVSgVU/видео.html
@@CogornoGolf Wow, thanks for the prompt reply Eric.
I’ll check out that link.
Please keep the videos coming, it’s all brilliant stuff
Eric, do you have a similar drill for hybrids-driver? I struggle to transition with the bigger clubs resulting in inconsistent striking
Hey Joe! Same feels could work with longer clubs...but I really would have to see your swing to say for sure WHY the inconsistent striking with longer clubs. Check out www.cogornogolf.com if you dont get it sorted so you can send us your swings.
Reminds me of Gary Woodland's move.
Big speed!
Thanks for the video Eric. I’ve been doing something very similar and this has helped me validate that what I’m working on is correct.
I have a question though. When I do this drill I tend to get too steep and bury my irons in the turf after the ball. What am I likely doing improperly to cause this? Also, what can I do with the drill to make sure I stay shallow into the ball?
Thanks - Chris
Hey Chris!
I would make sure you are pushing your hips forward and up and straightening your legs enough in the follow through.
If that doesnt fix it make sure your have angle is shallow/from inside enough (swing direction) to the ball.
Of course I would have to see a video of your swing to say for sure but I would start with the follow through extension pieces
Eric Cogorno Golf thanks for the reply. I’m actually headed out now to get some work in before playing tourneys all weekend. I appreciate your time! - Chris
Eric Cogorno Golf just a little feedback...the thought of pushing the belt buckle to the target and upward shallowed me out pretty well. I’m still learning the feel of it but the compression I get when doing it is pretty nice. I know better than to try something new before competition...but I went ahead and included it in my sessions yesterday and today before playing. Shot 78 in competition this morning which isn’t terrible for me from the tips. I’m a 3.8 index and was really swing the club poorly. Overall, I salvaged an otherwise terrible round.
Anyway, one thing I did notice is I’ve lost a bit of distance with swinging the club this way as well. I have a feeling it has to do with learning the proper timing associated with this drill and correctly incorportating it into the full swing. I’ll keep working on it and see if it improves with time.
Thanks again for the help - Chris
Haha yeah man DEFINITELY not right before a tourney :)
You should also DEFINITELY NOT hit it shorter with this....so there is a missing link somewhere there. Would have to see a video of your swing to say for sure.
Keep at it-you'll coordinate it at your level.
@@CogornoGolf well, it didn't work out too bad today for me. Had 3rd round of our net club match play championship and I won in 19 holes...shot even par...net 2 under. Tough win for me having to give up 12 strokes and 900 yards of difference in tees lol.
So on to the important stuff. I'm still working on this...even though as you mentioned I'm not sure I'm sequencing it correctly. I suspect when I do the drill that my loss of distance is due to an incorrect wrist position. Doing the drill...my wrist gets into what feels like an extreme state of extension. To me, the drill looks like we should be keeping the trail-hand palm facing down (no wrist flexion or extension to start) and then the wrist extension happens as we come down from the mini backswing move. I think I may be losing distance because I'm basically staying in this "trail-hand-palm-down" position...not really hinging or rotating my wrists at all to alleviate that severe trail-hand wrist extension at the top. Should I be rotating the wrists somewhat in this mini-backswing move?
I hope this makes sense. I saw you posted a video today about how to hinge the wrists in the backswing. I would LOVE to see that video tied into the drill in this video so I can get a better idea of how the wrists should move between these two videos.
As an aside, I agree this is hard to describe without video. My most recent videos are from last week before I started doing this drill. I should make a couple doing this drill. If I can't get this ironed out (no pun intended...)...I may give your subscription service a shot for a couple of months just to see what you and your staff think.
Thanks Eric! -- Chris
Looks like a good drill
One of the best for learning sequencing!
I watch many tips on RUclips- is this a stack and tilt swing?
Awesome! Appreciate you being here.
Nope-not stack and tilt. Not anything...just a good drill to learn great sequencing in the golf swing.
This drill with 56 and 52 degree wedges is my favorite way to hit low spinny partial wedges. So much better in my opinion than going high into the greens.
Love it, Scott! Agreed
that is pretty much my swing at a little less speed. my issue is i can be late with the release or really....getting upper and lower parts together consistently. i have never seen this drill so looking forward to trying it today weather permitting
Hope it helps my friend!
Can you use this swing for all clubs? Driver to wedge?
In real swings you can use these FEELS for all clubs....yes. But I would train it in with 9-7iron in practice
Eric, on the range with an 8 iron and a little launch monitor, avg. before the drill 134 yd., distance using the drill 152 yd., used the drill to hit the driver on the course and hit it further then I ever have. How do I take the drill and develop it into a full swing? And how does it fit into the throw away drill you were doing with Steve Pratt? Great stuff, thanks, Ed
Glad to hear that, Ed!
1. "How do I take the drill and develop it into a full swing? "
-Time. Reps. Gradually lengthen your hands in backswing a bit when you do the pause. Instead of hip high gradually go to chest/shoulder, etc. lengthen it out.
2. " And how does it fit into the throw away drill you were doing with Steve Pratt? "
-It does not. These drills essentially are for the exact opposite fixes. Just like fixing a hook vs a slice require different fixes.
hope that helps
Eric, thank you for your insights, much appreciated.@@CogornoGolf
Am I right in thinking a key component and part of the sequencing here is that there is a shift to the right as you get club parallel in backswing. Then this is basically the right shift done - every part of backswing after this is shifting back to left...? Otherwise this would be a stack and tilt type swing?
Hey Mich!
You can feel the pressure in your feet shifting to your trail side during the backswing, but I would generally recommend staying away from the mass moving much (not shifting the actual mass of hips/body way off the ball to the right). Some great players shift more off the ball, some great players shift less...however much you shift off early, I would still look to net out somewhere around 50/50 feeling in your feet at the top.
Here are two videos you may enjoy checking out on this topic:

This move saved me. I'm prone to over the top, and rushing the downswing. I've tried everything. This is the only drill that works and frees me from "hitting" at the ball. Swing and let the ball get in the way. There is one odd result I get; the apex is crazy extreme - like 1.5x average. I've always hit it high; but this result is curious. Maybe I'm still getting behind the ball, but I'm using your "head on wall" swing thought. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks!
Love to hear that, Michael!
I really cannot offer any worthwhile advice without actually seeing it on video.
More speed would make it go higher but you could also be adding too much dynamic loft.
Need to see it on video to offer any specifics
@@CogornoGolf Thanks! I'm going to work with the clothes hanger to see if I can decrease the loft. Compressing the ball well, but that left wrist has to be coming in at contact either hinged or flat - need that bow.
Wow..looks good Eric. So if I could understand correctly, the left arm elbow looks always towards the ground, meaning almost no left arm rotation in backswing, is this correct? Thanks.
ITs ONE option----loaded up a bunch of videos on this topic for you on other comment!
@@CogornoGolf Thank you Eric. Yes, it is one option. Thank you again. your comment clarifies well.
Eric, thank you for validating this for me. This my swing and it does create more distance. My 4-iron is 245 yards average, my 9-iron is 165 yards. I was thinking that I hit my irons too far, but it makes sense now.
Thats plenty of distance....no such thing as too far :) Just have to learn to scale is back when you need it. I'd hit my 7 iron 250 if I could!
Super drill, instantly better iron strikes . Do you have something similar for the driver swing?
Awesome!
Same concept....just longer backswing length
Did that I now have a crazy straight stinger shot with my woods. No luck with driver thought.
Eric,
Is the forward part of the down and forward toward the target or more at an angle like your 11 o’clock?
Good question....not really, I would say you're going more at 12.
Depends on your faults though as well what you need to feel. Lots of people standing up early need more of this

@@CogornoGolf Thank you and what an outstanding drill!
I actually did this drill on the golf course yesterday with my irons because I couldn’t figure out how to translate to a full swing. It worked and I was amazed… My friends were equally amazed at how awkward my swing looked because I was stopping halfway back. How to use in full swings????
Thats great!
How to use in full swing?
1. Time.......time and reps for it to become your new normal.
2. Lengthen the backswing but feel the same thing. Do 1/2 back for a month or so until its easy. Then move to 3/4 length backswing and do the same thing....
3. Find the FEELS you get that you can transfer into full swing (self discovery)
Thanks for so much for explaining the path forward to full swing success. Appreciate your teaching and responsiveness.
I had L1-L4 back surgery and just started picking up golf again since surgery 6 years ago. Lost some distance but I dont come full back swing yet. I like this drill and will use it. Any other tips to get distance without throwing back out. I didnt have surgery due to golf, need to make that clear.
Hey! I would say in this instance it would be best for you to find a good coach or PT to work with who can with with you personally to test movements and see what is best! I would be making too many guesses here.
@@CogornoGolf I understand completely. Thank you!! I do enjoy your videos. Very helpful.
How do you integrate this with a bow left wrist that you advocate ? ... thanks
Hey Gordon!
Well you only integrate something if someone needs more of it.
If thats the case for you simply feel the bow as you do this. Thats all.
Tried this drill at the range today towards the end of my session. I should play from this position! You know who swings like this? Colin Morikawa. He has a slow back swing to parallel then a quick move up and down
Haha nothing wrong with playing like it Stanley---love it
Does the hinge just happen right before that "whipping feeling" coming back down?
Hey Scott! It's happening toward the end of backswing and beginning of downswing.
@@CogornoGolf Thanks! That makes sense!
Can I use this for driver swing as well ?
You can but I would train with irons only here. But the FEELS can transfer to driver
How does this drill jive with the work you did with Milo Lines?
Jives great!
Upper body down and forward or lower body down and forward as hands and arms go back and up?
Upper and lower body both down and forward as hands work up and back
Eric how about correcting a slightly unbalanced finish with this drill? Further if the club is not finishing near your head and neck - and coming more vertical over your lead shoulder and back. This could be more of a vertical swing arc and the possible inconsistencies with it.
Absolutely....thats really a whole other topic.
Chase Duncan - FLIPS drill - Float Load Impact Pivot Smash
Yessir! As mentioned I saw from him. His videos are great!
@@CogornoGolf Yes! As are yours! After trying this again I find that as I do the drill and start hitting shots, I simply allow the club to become weightless then start my down swing allowing gravity to drop the club. The club weight and the momentum makes my swing effortless and more efficient. No manipulating. No excess muscle effort. Physics take over and things work as they should.
Is this for more mid/mid-low/low handicappers? I guess what I'm trying to ask is if someone uses their arms a lot, or doesn't really have a good handle or idea on how to come thru shallow into the ball. Should they be trying this or doing drills to get used to coming from the inside/letting the shaft drop?
Hey!
I think it could be for anyone really if you are willing to train.
Especially good for those looking to create a more dynamic sequence.
Can I use this drill with driver and fairway woods, as well as my irons?
I would stick with irons in terms of the drill
Just a quick side thought. I have always had a short backswing but strike the ball decently. I always felt some guilt about my relatively short backswing but after seeing this and the comment that you get relatively the same distance I feel much more at ease. Thanks for the valued insight.
:)
Love the idea of this! Will it work with driver since the upper body goes down and forward when the driver swing is supposed to be more sweeping?
I would train with short irons!
Same motions can work with driver (feels) but I wouldn't do the drill .
Setup needs to be different for driver and head needs to be more back
ruclips.net/video/TJtx-qVSgVU/видео.html
Is there any reason you wouldn’t use this as your regular swing? I have used this and I hit the ball great and my distance has improved. Certainly it works for irons and anything off the turf. Maybe some adjustments to hit driver. I am working on this indoors so haven’t taken it outdoors yet. But it sure seems to work.
You could! No rules against it!!
This drill really works . Especially when u feel like ur in a little funk. Just spend 20 min going back thru this drill and your back smashing it.
Love it! Really is one of the best overall....good for everyone drills I've ever seen.
Eric Cogorno Golf serious Eric. 2 of your videos have taken me from a 3 HC to a plus 2. In 4 months. Thank you
Nice playing my friend! Glad to hear it!
I am replaying the slow mo part at 6 minutes a 1000 times in my head and taking it to the bank (range) tonight.
Lol perfect!
_dooooit!_
So what does your fill swing look like after doing the drill
As with any drill you need to do it for weeks to months for it to show up fully in full swing.
Should look better as you learn to transfer feels.
There are BETTER and WORSE ways to do that.
If this drill (swing) produces the same distance/speed as one's full swing, maybe the definition of "full swing" needs to be modified.
Can you do this with the driver?
You can use the same FEELS with a driver but in terms of practice drill I would only do this with irons 9-7i in training....
How ‘bout doing a Part 2 video to discuss how to take this to a full swing?
Good idea, Jay!
would be very similar to Milo's 3 step process.
you would let the hands travel FARTHER (lets say shoulder high) and do the same thing...
Eric Cogorno Golf , is there a video for Milo’s 3 step?
Is your trail shoulder staying internally rotated? Wouldn’t this result in a steep shaft?
Hey Barbara!
It should naturally go into external rotation in transition if done correctly.
It will be slightly internally rotated during the early part of the backswing demonstrated here.
