Granny here from Nomadic Movement following. Laredo is an efficient border crossing, but it is also known as one which does things by the book. Everything is on the up and up, you got your vehicle stickers. Now, when you spot an Office Depot in one of those big cities, take a moment a make a copy of your vehicle permit, for the same reason you had multiple copies of the US documents. Wouldn't hurt to exchange some copies into each other's rigs. That way you would have a backup, and/or photograph them and send to the cloud or a relative. It looks like you came over Columbia Bridge, which I think is considered for vehicles only rather than commercial rigs. They go through the other Laredo crossings. That might be why NM was told they couldn't go over the bridge there. Pick up some electrolyte drink....just to have on hand. You guys are not accustomed to the heat. You can get it in any drug store. Just keep it on hand in case one of you feels weak and crampy; it can come on fast. Eat papaya....use limons whenever you can, even in your water. Drink lots of water. Forget ice for now in drinks, unless you know the restaurant. Accept all offers to join folks for a meal. Offer them a meal also.....enjoy the banda, the sunrises, the sunsets, and just land before sunset every night. You are all doing great! You just expanded the scope of your horizons three hundred fold.
Granny Exactly the things I was going to share with them. Also, don't drink directly out of any bottled anything. Pour it into your own container if you know it's clean and sterilized. Wash all produce well. Try to eat only fruit you can wash and peel. Cook meats well. Especially don't trust ANY ice anywhere for consuming and if it's in your cooler be sure to wash off anything it touches. If you get the shits, buy some adult diapers and NEVER bet on a fart. When it happens, you better be either ON or near a toilet or out in the country. Have toilet paper or wipes with you at all times
Some tips 1 you can see the prices of the gas with the gasoapp application. 2 do not drive at night. 3 Beware of the local traffic police, the federal or military police are much more educated and are almost not corrupt. 4 tour the local markets is the best place to buy fruit, vegetables and eat. 5 oxxo is your friend are open 24 hours and always have place to park. 6 most of the gas stations outside the city have space to park trucks during the night, food and in some cases shower. 7 enjoy the trip
I see why Trent got the name Grandpa from Jorden. Always positive, confident and taking the lead. Great video. Now take the thousands of us U Tube watcher's who are hooked the four of you (and two fur babies), on a great adventure. Be safe
So glad to see this post, was so worried when I didn't see a post for a few days. Very happy to see things going so well and that you have each other's backs. Have fun be safe and keep us posted.
Loved the video. Sounds like you are all prepared. Keep your eyes open and safe travels. I love you guys. Your new friends are adorable, too. Such memories you are making!! ❤️❤️
Yay!!!!! So happy to see the update! Some people have Netflix, I have “Don’t Stop Belizen”. I’m completely hooked. Be safe, and I am loving this series!!!
We traveled to Mexico City in November last year and our families definitely were scared of us traveling and shared those awful articles with us too. We had the best time and the people were so kind everywhere we went. It took us a few days to feel comfortable just because it was so different. Definitely dirtier than the US.... your sketch meter will change for sure. Love following this journey!!!!
Oh my Gosh...very familiar with Laredo Tex border crossing. You are brave. Friends I used to cross with will not even consider going there now....The area by the police station was the dangerous area....
Very exciting- Mexico to Belize will be quite a journey! I've visited both countries, and I hope you get some opportunities to check out some of the Mayan ruins. Being a group of 4 young, able-bodied people is in your favor, much less vulnerable, less of a target. Enjoy the natural beauty and thx/f posting!
So glad to hear from you guys. I woke up this morning worrying bout ya'll. I was so relieved to ge my email notification of this vid. Sounds like a fun adventure so far. New adventures are broadening your horizons. I think the food is something to look forward too . . . . yummmmmmmmm
So glad to hear from you guys!! Have fun, stay safe and go by your instincts and you will be fine... keep updating us old folks with your fun adventures......hello Mexico
I’m so sucked into your adventure I worried when the next episode was late - was it late, is it me - YOU ALL ROCK. Even though you are 2 couples, the 4 of you seem to have chemistry. New to your channel and loving it, going back through and getting to know you. Keep the 360 view up and running -that is, watch your backs. Excited for more. Prove the American Media has chosen to focus on negative aspects of your coming experience.
You guys are awesome and inspiring! Not only are you facing your fears, but you're also rising above them... and the challenges you've faced crossing the border. I commend you guys for your courage and going forward to fulfill your dreams/desires. You're going to have the best time! Way to go Don't Stop Belizen team! :)
well it's about time we were all getting a little bit worried you didn't post anything for a couple of days since you were about to cross into Mexico so I'm glad that you guys made it and I'm a full-time van life for now and I always wanted to drive to Mexico so it's good to see your struggles and getting across so that I will have an easier trip whenever I decide to go anyway love your channels and keep up the good work guys PS nomadic movement you're the reason why I bought my rig
Wow sis by smiling side Kaylee and Allie look like sisters...Im so happy you all made it across. What a great support to have both of you traveling, example telling them they needed that windshield sticker...wow they could of been taken for more money to get that later on, not even knowing they needed it. Im so happy you are all together...wow what fun !!!
It’s always a mess crossing border. I’m Canadian (Quebec) each time I cross the border to USA, I feel like you when you cross the border to Mexico. Continu the trip and have fun ! Love It !
Im here mostly cause of Nomadic Movement. But realize i shoulda subscribed long ago. Have a wonderful time. Looking forward to following your adventures
That is a great start to an adventure... glad you guys posted something because I was really curious to see how things are going on. As I see it, this delay was planned as you four probably now have some days ahead the videos. Great decision. Enjoy!
Oh my girsh!!! So excited for you guys! I backpacked through Guatemala a million years ago. Your vlog is bringing me back. So much fun to be had guy. Have fun!!!
It's so interesting, you want to not be prejudice about things being/looking sketchy and the possibility of something bad happening but at the same time, these things do happen and it's right to feel insecure sometimes about what's going on. Glad everything worked out in the end
I've been waiting for this episode. I was wondering how you made out crossing the boarder. Have a safe and Fantastic trip and I'll be looking for the next episode.
Awesome to see ur faces again this is what tells us that ur okay... My husband and I are going to Chicago for the second time... It's just gr8 to know that U guy's are okay just have fun. Anything can happen anywhere U are even in the U.S.
Like everyone else I too am glad you made it through the Border safe and sound along with the nomadic movement. May you have many great memories safe travels and stay blessed. And remember not to drive faster than your angels can fly 🌸
I do not like the border crossings from Alaska to Canada and Canada to the Lower 48. Done it a dozen times and still can never tell if it will go smooth or not. YAY, glad everything is falling into place and you are relaxing into the different vibe.
So glad to hear from y’all! I think everyone was starting to get a little worried after no word from y’all or NM. So, glad to get caught up and hear the crossing was just fine! ✨
Didn't mean to make you more nervous before your crossing, so sorry about that. Just thinking about you always and wishing you safe and happy trails. Xoxoxox!
Hey Trent & Allie!!! The WHOLE following was worried about you guys after not hearing anything for a couple of days. I figured it was just wifi-related. You guys are gonna have a blast nonetheless. This information is gonna help a LOT of folks stop tripping and EASE their fears. I want to personally THANK you guys for making yourselves available and providing this MUCH NEEDED venture into Mexico. SAFE travels, be careful out there and you guys CONTINUE to look out for each other. Thank you so much for sharing. 😀 😎
Hi guys, I see a fair amount of anxiety there, so take it easy. I don't speak spanish but i'm sure the locals would appreciate you trying to pick up the language as you go. I heard another vanner advising on local cops who were demanding on the spot fines. Her advice, in such circumstances, is to demand a written ticket for any alleged infringement which they then must provide, which should nullify any cash demands. Stay safe guys and keep up the good work.
Go check out Hildalgo, there's a national park there called El Portrero Chico, its a haven for rock climbing. trent you probably heard of it. Very chill place.
Yay, you are in Mexico and on your way. Drivers there use their turn signals in multiple ways, so best not to trust them until you learn the code. Remember that an inch equals a mile on Mexican roads. You will get my meaning in no time as you experience the driving scene. Keep having fun, and keep us posted.
The cops sometimes have other drivers set you up for a rear ender or some other violation so they can then pull you over and demand you pay them to avoid going to jail.
I grew up in Southern Texas and crossed into Mexico @ Laredo many many times in my life . That has been a minute, lol. It is a different time there now. The scenery and culture will look change the further you get from the border towns. I don’t knew the route your taking, your itinerary , or the amount of time your taking to get to Belize , but the sights , sounds and smell of Mexico are worth some exploration. I could wax nostalgic but won’t waste your time, lol. Please be careful , go with your gut felling about situations.
I'm so glad to know that they're not having the gas problem there, that we're having here. We leave middle of next month, to head back to USA, and the bitter cold of Montana 😵😵 Glad you guys are having such a good time!!! So many people tried talking me out of coming this year, because of all the problems. When you're down here, you NEVER see any of the violence like they show on TV!!! We come through Laredo too. From Laredo to our house over here is 12 hrs... Tollways cost us a little over $100 USD, but are well worth it. Have lots of fun, be safe and trust you gut instincts and you'll be fine!!! Buenos suerte 😊😊
I wish I would have known that you were going to my home town Monterrey 😀 I would have connected you with my family that speaks English. I’ve been following you for a while and I love your videos! Don’t listen to the news they just want to divide us. enjoy your trip!!🤗💕
TY! TY! For the update & video. Frank isn't sure if he wants to go but once he sees his Lola he'll b so happy!! Wow! Good for you guys! Pls Don't leave Kaylee & Jordan! They might need help!

I am unsure. Would it not be better to throw caution to the wind and toodle around with reckless abandon?
