    This is the first video where I've seen your face! From your voice and speech pattern, I thought you were probably in your 50's but, I see you are much younger!
    GREAT JOB!
    I absolutely LOVE your anvil! I'm stuck with a cast iron Harbor Freight 55 pound hunk of usable junk! Oh well, I'65 and disabled and likely not going to ever get a good anvil so, I m going to make do with what I have!
    Love your videos and they give great ideas for working on some projects!

    The thing I love about your videos above all of the other RUclips blacksmiths is the attention to history and the beauty and artistry of this age old craft. Please never fall into the trap of trying to make this look 'cool' (whatever that is).
    Thank you for providing something unique.

    I adore your love of the history, and your skills as a craftsman to be able to recreate these items. That swivel handle is so great. I’m going to have to use that on something someday.

    I really like these Sutton- Hoo- reproductions, maybe you can do more of them in the future?

    Clever sausage, I don't think that is a saying used in my area. It is rather amusing so I might start using it.

    I so love your videos. Watched each multiple times. Can't get enough. I would like to order one of your wrought iron welded face (Viking style) square/cross pein small hammers. Contact me when you are in production again please. I reside in Canada. If you can ship of course.

    By fluke? Hardly likely my friend.
    The keen eye of a Master Smith more likely!

    Hey Rowan. There are many you tubers who have done a shop tour video. I am particularly interested in your power hammer looks fabricated from scratch. Just an idea for you and no hammering required! For a change.

      I am also interested in your power hammer as well. Can you talk about it? Is is air, mechanical etc? You have much better control then most power hammers can you comment on that as well?

    @12:16 There seems to be a tiny blue flame on the top of the spring steel. Is that just a camera glitch, or is it the carbon coming out of the steel and burn? I've never seen that before.

    Would've took a stout built fella to swing an all iron axe like that in battle.

    Would the American translation of "clever sausage" be a tricky dick? Another great video, cheers mate.

    • @FordHallam
      @FordHallam 7 лет назад

      As I understand it Tricky Dick carries a negative connotation whereas a clever sausage is quite gentle and approving in tone.
