Thanks Randy. I’ll be using them on my sawmill shed. I need a 20 foot beam and the utility poles will provide that. It will be a challenge to mill a 20 foot beam on a mill that can only do 16.5 feet. However, I have a plan…
Great Video keep up the great work,I too own a small sawmill and have sawed light poles or telephone poles what ever you want to call them. But the only concern I had was the creosote dust that was being generated so I hosed everything down with a water hose and it works rather well.
Thanks James. They did indeed. I recently used them when installing a 16 foot gate. I have two more 22 foot telephone poles I’ll be milling. This will be interesting since my mill only does 16.5 foot!
Good job Larry. And again saving some big bucks. Plus fun, have a great day. Be safe Randy

Thanks for the kind words. Happy milling!
I am impressed that your mill blade cuts great on these poles. Most electric poles that I have seen are hard as a rock.
I’m very pleased with my HM126 sawmill. It handled the electric pole with ease.
Thank you for your videos, good idea for checking for nails and staples, don’t forget about a dust mask when sawing pressure treated.
Thanks for the kind words and advice. I’ll be milling more soon as I start my sawmill shed.
Great video, those telephone poles are going to make some very nice post!👍🏻

Sawing poles into 6×6 beams
This is a fun project.
What I don't understand is why do they call it a can't instead of a can?
Good question. This link may help answer your question: woodweb.com/knowledge_base/Understanding_the_Sawmilling_Term_Cant.html
More success if you scan OFF the metal saw mill.
Thanks. That is a great suggestion.
