Hi, You have explained this well, but I have a question. At 10:14 you are talking about '5th Standard' and 'Fifth standard' being a repeating group. Then you have created a table with the class code 5 and '5th Standard'. Now, is that really necessary? For all practical purposes the number '5' in the Standard column will suffice isn't it? Is there any need to store '5th Standard' in another table?
Is the Id column in tbl_SyllabusSubject needed? It seems that the primary key could instead be (SyllabusId, SubjectId). Wonderful tutorial! Thanks very much.
I have one query after the video, sir if I want to fetch data and the databases are in the form of 3NF format then how I can fetch and use the whole data or a part of data
Good and simple examples. Quite descriptive and easy to understand. But you could have reduced this vdo to at least 50% of length. Having insert scripts ready in hand etc would have saved a lot of viewers time. But thanks a lot for the nice explanation :)
Hello sir, You have explained Normalization is very nice manner, You voice and way of explaining the normal forms are quite good, But it will be very nice if you come up with the very basic definition of normalization in with practical example, so that we can understand it well....otherwise the session was excellent...i always use to watch your video lectures.. Thanks.. a lot for it ......@neha
Nyc explanation...but I have one doubt.....can’t we still remove syllabus table...since standard table will be sufficient to build the many-many relation with subject table...because in syllabus table we are just storing 5th syllabus instead of 5th standard...I mean to say logically 5th standard is equal to 5th syllabus
Hey bro, you're amazing, Could you please share the link of Star & snow flex schema, in the difference in OLAP & OLTP system you said you will make next video. I'm eagerly waiting for that. Thanks!!
This can happen when you need a "visible" primary key (say for API consumption) and a "hidden" primary key that end-users can't modify. Useful for security a DB.

+visrom2 Mail us your technical query at questpond@questpond.com
visrom2 yes I was thinking the same, also would it not be best to have a separate table for students?
Is the Id column in tbl_SyllabusSubject needed? It seems that the primary key could instead be (SyllabusId, SubjectId).
