Hi there. So glad you are back and okay. I was recently in the hospital and I think nurses should be paid $1,000,00 a year or maybe a month. It is unbelievable what they do. I cannot stand it when good workers and people don't get the credit, appreciation and pay that they deserve. Your stitching is so my style. Love Tiny Modernist patterns too. I have done a few too.

Yeah, you are back! I totally understand how draining working in an ICU and trying to keep your patient alive Fellow ICU nurse for 33 years. I’m so glad you’re back, I thought something happened. I hope you enjoyed your vacation down the shore in Wildwood! I live outside of Philly in Delco, and LOVE the shore and the Phillies! Most of the time I substitute petite Mill Hill beads for French knots.
I'm also in DELCO! I say Philadelphia because I'm close enough 😂
Hi! Hope your finger is better. You know how every nurse has something that grosses them out? Well, mine is fingernail and toe injuries. 😂 as soon as you started your story I knew where it was going so I just kept stitching and didn’t look. Love seeing your WIPs and happy to see you back. Ahh thank you so much! Isn’t that fabric great?! I have to dig through my Ali express orders and find the shop so I can share and maybe even grab a few more, the fabric really is high quality. I just started the first exhibit and the 3rd one just came out so I got some catching up to do already😂

I was an ICU nurse for 10 years. I have a very tiny start on Nightingale. I don't care for the bugle beads, it is just so hard and I wanted something softer so I'm going to use wisper
I think whisper would be a great alternative for the bugle beads..the bugle beads look intimidating and there’s a ton of them! We shall see! Would love to see how the whisper thread looks on yours after

Baseball. Yes. Hockey is over for me. Almost seems like baseball is over for me too!! Cubs fan. Even the Chicago White Sux are doing record baaaad. 😂
It was a great break from the crazy. Cubs and White Sox just going through a phase, maybe a rebuild, if you will.😂 I was still a Phillies fan thru their rebuild phase, now I’m just holding out hope that our luck doesn’t run dry by the time post season is here. I love hockey as well…the Flyers are horrendous but I love them dearly🤣

The Nightengale is gorgeous….❤ I struggle with matching hand dyeds with my Miras…it’s probably a bravery thing to some extent 😂 but I hate Wichelt fabrics - too thin and too scratchywhen I stitch in hand. I have heard that they make stitches look the best tho….😢 Hope to see you again soon. Enjoy your vacation! Lori
Matching hand dyeds with Mira’s is definitely a thing where you gotta think, “ok let’s just try it out for a few 100 stitches, if it doesnt work, you can find another”….thats how I tricked myself into being brave😂 and yes I agree Wichelt is so scratchy but the stitches do look gorgeous on them!
