@op-. There are ways to beat someone taller, it's just hard to do. I like to do a lot of fadeaways even if they're ill-advised to do by coaches. Use more triple-threat moves and hesitations, use more crossovers and pump fakes. Read what they have tendencies to do on offense and find a way to combat that on defense and see what makes them off or uncomfortable. If they shoot well and can dribble around you, you might be in trouble, but if they like to dribble but don't have the best shot you can sag off and hope they'll just shoot it and then be able to react in time to get them off their spot with a solid bump.

IF Grace liked her, which I think she does, she'd actually try and meet up with Morgan (her name's not Megan btw) and coach her a bit and give her some tips on how to get her shot and finishing better. I don't know if DevInTheLab works with women or not, but if she really wanted to get better she could go to Dev for some tips and training help.
if you're a small guard playing a taller opponent you should: - use pump fakes - use head fakes - hesitation dribbles - be shifty - be a good, very good, elite shooter from 3 and middies - have a quick first step - have a good, very good or elite attacking rim - have a good pivot when trapped under basket - have a shot that's above head, not a 'push shot' - have a stepback with lots of separation - have a quick release - be efficient shooing - have a quick pickup after a dribble - and be quicker/faster to the hoop she was none of these. so we all knew the outcome. my advice is go to a basketball camp for 3-4 weeks. 2 months if she wants to see major improvement
