Man I loved this game as a kid. No idea why but I'd climb on top of the empire state building all the time and jump off and have spider-man either splat or swing at the very last second lol
Me and a friend had fun trying to 1up each other on longest free fall there (think the best is shown in the menu somewhere) He ended up winning by web-slinging onto the very tip of the top of the tower to so he could begin his fall from a much higher point, than swung so closes to impacting the road he started running on the ground mid swing.
I love the idea of that business lady going "wow, I can't believe those mercs punched the shit out my head and Spiderman saved me, I'm gonna go to the arcade and order a pizza to calm down, HOLY MOLY Spiderman again! you are delivering my pizza?!"
Micky D I'm relishing in this nostalgia. Hope there's some more spiderman 2. Side note, i "won" a copy of spiderman 3 on ps2 from some cheese nips box. What actually happened was i lost but if you refreshed the loser page, it would say you won and pull up the forms that had to be filled. Told some friend on the school bus. We all got a copy like 6 weeks later
Bruce Campbell is the finest man to grace the silver screen All the other actors just degrade his noble scenes The Oscars should award him for his illustrious career Let's hold a town parade for him with each movie premiere
Bruce Lorne Campbell should be offered every lead! Imagine him as Spider-Man, a finer choice indeed Casablanca could've been improved if Campbell would've said, "Here's looking at you...you primitive screwhead!"
As if this wasn't nostalgic enough you add in 11:45, it really was terrifying lol. We need some Spider-Man 1 now, and the Lord of the Rings games. Those plus Nightfire and the Harry Potter games were my childhood, really good to see you getting these classics out!
This is one of the games that I will always regret either trading in or selling. Got many hours of fun out of it between me and my older brother playing it. Young me didn't know what he had... Also, thanks for reminding me of the pain that is Ace Ventura Jr.
Best jokes of the video: #3, mickey: "She's a strong independent plagiarized woman!" #2, black cat: you always chase girls who brush you off? mickey: ever since highschool! #1, Bruce Campbell: I guess you're not as stupid as you look! Mickey: Stop flirting with me!
10:44 Spider man 2 was the first game I ever %100 completed and yea....i can confirm that that is exactly your reward. Nothing but a pat on the back from Ash lol
I LOVE your humour Micky!! You could be playing the worst game in existence and you'd still make it funny and enjoyable!! So glad I found your channel man
As a kid I was way too fascinated by the ragdolling physics of Spider-Man. It was that and the wacky Mysterio missions that I always remembered the most in this game. And yeah, the sneaking missions in Spider-Man 1 on the PS2 were legit some of my most frightening gaming experiences as a kid. I was caught completely off-guard by the OsCorp robots that just straight up shoot you to death.
I remember playing Spider-Man 2 on the GameCube, and I still have it rn it’s a classic, i remember me and my brother would play it and i was like 4 or 3 years old.
I remember this is one of the few games I played all the time but never bothered trying to make actual progress in. I usually swung around the unconscious bodies of thugs all the way across New York until I could make them fly into the ocean, blinded them with webs so that they run around and trip over the sidewalk, throwing them off buildings, help a woman recover her purse only to steal and drown the purse, save someone from falling off a building just to let him go into the ocean, sending an injured person into the ocean, stand right next to someone about to fall and watch him slowly fall off the building, and help the people sinking on the boat by putting them back on land just to immediately change my mind and throw them into the ocean...in hindsight, I am a pretty sick human being.
I have amazing childhood memories off this game. I remember one summer when we had summer holidays and didn't have to go to school, I went to my grand parent's place and played this all day. The next day I got really sick and puked all over the place and was scared out of my mind but when I wasn't puking I still had a great time playing this game, that's how good it was, it made an awful day into a great one.
Loved and finished this game multiple times. Still one of the best games of all time. What a great era. Edit: The Mysterio Mission and music use to scared me for what ever reason and the music is freaking amazing....
This is my favorite video game pre-PC-master-race. I played tf out of this on the gamecube. I also identify the narrator as the guy from the spider-man games! Edit: Dude this is so funny wither modern references on tops of how great this game was back then. You rock! I need to replay this game so bad!!
This game was peak superhero gaming. I loved playing it so much as a kid I bought the psp version to bring with me on the go and was mad it was different
If you open up multiple tabs on your web browser and set each one to "Spider-Man 2 pizza theme" on youtube and then press play on each of them one by one, you'll cause a rift in time and space.
oh boy, i remember spending weeks just swinging around in this game, and just try to pull as many flips before i landed on the ground as possible back when this game came out
Ok you mentioned it so now I have to, I would love it if you played some old school like Spyro 1 or 2, that would make my day Micky. I feel like you are THE person to ask this of since you're the go-to old school PS1 and PS2 review guy (I know you're also the go-to Morrowind guy but that's not what we're talking about right now)
As a kid, my favorite part of this game was a combo you could get about halfway through the game that allowed you to wrap thugs up and hang them from stoplights. I'd try to get as many guys on the same light as possible to create a hangman's street that would be horrifying to have to drive under. Meanwhile, the nearest npc would always be like, " Way to go, Spidey!" The irony tickled so good.
My brother and I would play this on GameCube. We would climb a very tall building and try and jump and land in a square of green grass. It was tricky😊😄 id also always go to roosevelt Island and "save" the people but place them down across the bridge so they'd have to find their way back. Id also steal the ladys purses and run around with them.😄
I’ll be honest…. As a kid, I never played one mission of this game. I used the cheat code that gave you half the missions done, a bunch of money, and all the upgrades unlocked. Then I just swung around the city doing side missions and popping red balloons. Man what a good time
I've got one question. Are you gonna revisit the Jak and Daxter series at some point? I've seen you referencing it in some videos. Would be cool to see as it's one of many's biggest childhood nostalgias. You'd make them Let's Plays quite entertaining I'd bet ;)
Everyone thinks about the Spiderman game or Evil Dead for Bruce Campell. I think of Autolycus from the Hercules series. Those were always my favorite episodes when he showed up :P
Mickey, I absolutely loved this game as a kid 😭 Never did any missions but god, swinging around the city endlessly was a pure joy. I hope you'd be willing to do more vids of S2 😊 Also, yes. A Bug's Life PS1 was iconic. Potential vid maybe possibly perhaps? 👀
I don’t know if it was a glitch or a feature, but there is a certain combo that can be done while using spider reflexes which infinitely kicked an enemy up in the air even after spider reflexes depleted. It was the funniest, most brutal, and satisfying thing for me to do in the game.
It is still one of the best games. Spider-man PS4 is my all time favorite game though, but that's because of this game and Ultimate Spider-man. It would have to be Spider-man PS4, Halo CE, Ultimate Spider-man, Spider-man 2
Man I loved this game as a kid. No idea why but I'd climb on top of the empire state building all the time and jump off and have spider-man either splat or swing at the very last second lol
A man of culture I see
I used to do that, but while carrying a goon and then do a powerbomb from the very top
@@Valforg remember kids, Spider-Man doesn't kill.
I would just let spider-man splat until i get a game over screen then do it again.
The Tobey Maguire freakout video is so underrated. I especially like it because it was honestly a rational response
Paparazzi are scum. I don't even care about celebrities, but the lengths these people go to is ridiculous.
@@joe_krogan 100%
Celebrities are mostly scum but papparazis are their even scummier parasites
Agreed. Tobey Maguire was in the right, and Paparazzi are shit. They murdered Princess Diana, too.
So many memories of getting balloons but never returning them. great times
Flashback triggered! "I lost my ballooooooon! Ohhhhhaahhhhhhhhhh!"
Spider-Man 2! I got so caught up in what I was doing, I forgot all about it.
_I t s g o n n a k i l l m e_
What were you doing?
I get the reference my man... I get it
I love the idea of that business lady going
"wow, I can't believe those mercs punched the shit out my head and Spiderman saved me, I'm gonna go to the arcade and order a pizza to calm down, HOLY MOLY Spiderman again! you are delivering my pizza?!"
It was only a matter of time before you played the best Spider-Man game.
I can't wait for the inevitable KOTOR playthrough!
Kotor is unironically a masterpiece tho haha
@@FrederikVV that's fair. I only had the old spider man game on pc from like 2000 or something so I never got to play this one haha
Wasn't Spiderman (2018) better?
Its a genuine question, i don't have a PS4
THE NOSTALGIA OF IT ALLLL 😭😭😭 “MY BALLOOOOOOOOON” will forever haunt my memories
Micky D I'm relishing in this nostalgia. Hope there's some more spiderman 2.

This game really makes you feel like Batman. It has Catwoman and everything.
Holy shit the nostalgia from 15 years ago hit me like a brick
17 for me. It's crazy how time has flown
The web-swinging still can't be topped.
this is by far one of my favorite ps2 games, and while that's mostly nostalgia talking, it's still genuinely fun to this day.
I love your little movie and song suggestions in every video, so wholesome 😂
As if this wasn't nostalgic enough you add in 11:45, it really was terrifying lol. We need some Spider-Man 1 now, and the Lord of the Rings games. Those plus Nightfire and the Harry Potter games were my childhood, really good to see you getting these classics out!
"Who needs women?"
Based Mickey.
I don't know how you manage to make every video you do drip liquid gold. I truly believe there are few people on RUclips that can even match you.
This is one of the games that I will always regret either trading in or selling. Got many hours of fun out of it between me and my older brother playing it. Young me didn't know what he had... Also, thanks for reminding me of the pain that is Ace Ventura Jr.

Spiderman told that woman to be more careful after she got jumped and robbed by 7 goons.

great video mickey!
The painting with Ebola on it gets me every time. I never noticed it as a kid, but I look for it every time I play now, lmao
This is definitely bringing me down memory lane I use to play this game all the time when I was a kid
“It’s me, Tobias Maguire XD” got me rolling
I played this game as a child as well. It was surprisingly good for movie tie-in game.
YESSS THIS IS MY GAME. This is literally my childhood. The narrator makes a quib if you die in the into
Definitely wasn't expecting the Tobey Maguire yelling at paparazzi vid lmao
Nothing beats the feeling of completing the final Pizza delivery mission
"Oh I know all about swinging, don't worry" lmfaooo

You have such good taste

this was one of my favorite games back in the day. Id always see how high i could bounce enemies off the ground when they fell of buildings.

Yes yes YES MORE OF IRISHMAN PLAYING SPIDERGUY
Dude the robot section tripped me out as a kid too!!!
The music is so memorable man
The GTA 3 music part got me. Hhahaaha
I will always appreciate the charge jump
he double swung! THANK YOU, eddie burback never used the double swing in his video
Ultimate Spider-Man game still holds up today surprised not many people cover it
"this is how they train astronauts" fuckin lost it there
Whenever I hear 'the fella's' voice I think "oooh it's the King of Thieves from Hercules"!

They made fun of the balloon missions from this by having Venom eat a kid in the Ultimate Spider-Man game.
I just recently played this again! This game is so so great
Micky D, Micky D, does whatever a RUclipsr can...
HOLY F*CK. THE MASTERPIECE ITSELF. THE GAME THAT SPAWNED THE PIZZA MEME. BEAUTIFULL!
