Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Was Underappreciated

- Star Wars Bounty was a PS2 classic from way back in the day! How does it hold up? Will I ever get my jetpack back? Will I ever go through a video without mentioning Toto at least once? I want a lunchable now.
Be sure to catch me on Twitch and hit the bell so you know when I'll be live!

An elegant game from a more civilized age
Obiwan plays Star Wars Battlefront (2015) - "So uncivilised..."
Obiwan plays Star Wars Battlefront (2004) - "Hello there!"
Dude what the hell. I've commented this before but it seems like you're specifically picking to play all of my childhood games on this channel. I love it
The Irishman is coming from inside your house.
He truly embodies our generation
This was one of the first games I got for my gamecube
As Jango falls to his death in an endless chasm, he realizes what Boba figured out on his own: This Mandalorian armor needs a grappling hook.
I hope you decide to do Republic Commando. Best episode of Clone Wars ever.
Republic commando suffers from incredibly poor Time to Kill and level/enemy variety. MAYBE if they made weapon ammos more interchangeable, upped the damage of the basic gun, and gave you the Kyle Katarn ability to just lug every weapon ever invented it could be fun.
@@DIEGhostfish game was goated ur just mad cuz bad
Man Mickey really does bring out some of the most buried childhood memories
AND WITH AN SING SONGY IRISH ACCENT IT MAKES THEM SEEM LIKE THEY WHERE GOOD. sorry caps, im not retyping that.
@@FlyingLampshade "like they were good"?? Man, Bounty Hunter was the bee's knees!
Next, Mickey will play "Uncle Tickles You 3"
I always mix up parts of this game with parts of Shadow of the Empire for N64 and I absolutely love that this happens.
Getting lost in Star Wars platformers was a coming of age ritual.
this game is sick. the last boss is ridiculous. Also you actually get to see where they make Deathsticks. legend
You put up a good fight Jango. But I don't have time for games.. I'm on a hunt
"I need map markers" says the Morrowind man lol. it's cool seeing you play some of these other classics. I remember this game being really brutal towards the end, but that might just be because I was a kid.
I never finished the game I got to that jungle planet with the alien wild cats, but I remember it being really tough.
No you are absolutely right. This game even with the jet pack and missiles etc, this game is absolutely brutal toward the end. Still have never beat it and I was stuck on the jungle level with the cat things like the comment above me.
Yeah this is the one game that is hard no matter what. Like Jak 2. Not because we were kids.
Yeah I could never complete the later missions as a kid, no idea if the game was difficult or if I was just shit at the game as a child.
This wasn't the video I'd expected from Mickey D, but I wholeheartedly embrace it. The Toydarian lady is such a hoot.
A surprise, but a welcome one to be sure.
Side by side of battlefront to battlefront 2. I remember there being a big difference and how I played between them. Two had draw distance fog that wasn't in the first battlefront. While two is a technically superior game, the draw distance really changed how i played between them. Sniper was so op in the first that you could legitimately take out 50% of the other team. Bf2 was fairly balanced.
The first battlefront was my first fps at 8 or 9. Loved it. Bf2 was just good. And part of my nostalgia is my disappointment in bf2
I rented this game from blockbuster as a kid also. I never could figure out how to finish the first level.
I'd love to see you play through any of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games. I absolutely loved Jedi Outcast as a kid. Jedi Academy was cool with character creation and picking saber styles and "picking" your missions, but it lacked the charm of Jedi Outcast, imo.
Love to see what he thinks of Rosh Penin lol
They really need more bounty hunter games with effort like the Monster Hunter games or even Hitman. I remember hearing long ago about the newer Prey game supposedly being a alien bounty hunter game and being HYPED, oh well at least you reminded me of my copy of Stor Wors Bounty Hunter with not only a "$19.99 pre owned" sticker BUT also a "$8 S" sticker dead center on the case.
Hope this becomes a series.
it's an amazing game, I loved Jango's first ship, wished it would show up in one of these new shows.
"Who needs Kilometers Morales ?" Man, 7 seconds in and I'm already laughing !
That intro gave me the idea to tell the kids that we had to rewind rented games before we returned them.
my god i absolutely loved the "outtakes" of the ps2-era star wars games
they dont make em like they used to
This game was the entire theme of my entire 5th grade summer. The only time I stopped playing was to mow the lawn... that was what paid for my blockbuster gamepass.
I got that game when I was very young I was around 5 so I had no idea what I was doing but still very fun
this was one of my favorite games of all time. So glad I still have it somewhere in my house
I remember most fondly playing a huge amount of rogue squadron, that was an excellent game
Well, this is my new favorite one. I feel like every time you upload a new one, I have a new favorite. Great stuff. The editing is crazy good.
The comics that accompanied this game are some of the best Star Wars comics I read
I can see you are a man of taste and Dark Cloud is already installed, let's get a video on that gem of a game!!
I've been an Xbox person for a long time after I sold my PS2... but the opportunity to play Star Wars Bounty Hunter again is really tempting
I remember when I was like 11 I really really wanted this game. I was a Star Wars fanatic, read every book and played every game. But my dad was pretty strict about the games I played and he didn't want me playing as a villain lol. By the time my dad stopped caring about what I got I no longer had the system to play it. And then when I got into my "retro" phase and buying older consoles and games this one just looked too dated and I didn't have the nostalgia built up for it.
Its great fun watching your videos, thanks for uploading Micky.
Still my favorite Star Wars game. I had this and the Jango prequel comics! :)
Dark Cloud! Childhood favorite.
The original two Battlefront games would be an amasing blast from the past. Oh and Jedi Academy too!
Man, I used to see this game on EVERY game advertisement flyer that always came with Gamecube games, but I never saw it in any store. I wanted it so bad.
What a throw back!! 😂 My goodness. Renting games (and DVDs)! Last I saw a Blockbuster was in, 2012 I think. 😅
Holy shit please do a play through of this whole game it’s just such a classic
I played so much of this a kid. This was one of my favorites because I’ve always loved the Fetts and mandalorians in general.
13:21 OMG Remember when "continues" were a thing in video games? I feel so old now.
I had a friend in high-school that would constantly tell me that I needed to play republic commando, show it to me at his house, and refuse to let me borrow it. This is also the same guy that insisted I play his save file at the end of Metroid Prime 2 when I told him I just started playing it at home. I miss that guy xD
9:50 As a certain Australian would say: "The diffrents ? one is a Job the other mental sickness."
Micky D, single handedly reviving my youth. 2:06, you legend☠️
This is the best Tomb Raider game i ever played!
Thanks for the memories Mickey!
I still have this game for PS2! I loved using the game shark to give me unlimited jet pack and ammo!! Great fun
9:54 "Difference being, one's a job and the other's a mental sickness"
You play all the best games. I swear every time is see you drop a video my reaction is "oh wow he's playing this game?!" pretty much every time lol
I remember playing this whenever my older brother wasn't home. One of the only times I had the gamecube to myself and I mostly only played this
Literally was my first ps2 game, always remember it fondly!
This game was a fuckin masterpiece, I'd marry it if I could.
I'm looking forward to your deep dive into the pool of star wars games. There are so many to choose from. KOTOR 1 and 2, The Force Unleashed, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Shadows of the Empire to name a few of my favorites.
I see that dark cloud, bloody wonderful game I enjoyed with my mum back in the day
First Budokai 3 and now Star Wars Bounty Hunter? Dudes handpicking the best games from my childhood
My man playing all the old classics. Thanks man for the (PTSD) flashbacks
Mickey D you're a legend for playing this one! I spent so much time playing this game as a kid
I had this because I bought the PS3 star wars bundle- certified dork.
Could not control my excitement when I saw this thumbnail.
I saw Dark Cloud on the dashboard.
Top taste. 👌
4:16 thank you for this and now i understand why they call you Micky D
Just when I thought you couldn’t get any better, you prove me wrong
You play every game that meant a lot to me in my childhood, you’re my new favourite RUclipsr!
This was one of those games I really wanted as a kid, but every Christmas I never got it... rip
Oh hell yes it was! I wish Boba and Roz got to meet. Boba growing up with a doting space-jewish grandma would have been fun.
Old Star Wars, eh? How about some good ol' Shadows of the Empire, with the greatest hero the setting ever knew: DASH RENDAR!
"I like the prequels, fuck off" is a mood I can support.
I held it together fine until you got to the Telos Restoration part, solid reference. 10/10, will watch again.
I remember playing this as a kid. Cool game.
Oh my God yes, I loved this game on my old ps2 slim! So happy to see you playing it!
You magnificent man. We need more of this game, if you feel like it.
To this day, my right thumb is absolutely jacked from turbo-mashing the square button to shoot in this game.
I see Dark Cloud in that PS5 menu. I hope that's a teaser for an upcoming video. I love that game.
Would love to see a republic commando series! Keep up the great work
Star Wars: Demolition is a foggy distant memory of freezing every 5 minutes 😭
I remember renting this game as a kid and being so mad that Jango loses his jet pack that I returned it.
Remember in xtra vision you couldn't even see over the counter. The best times
Finally someone who can see the prequels are good as hell
I remembered this game, glad you talked about it
Was my #1 rented game too! Didn't have a memory card so I would always get too the asteroid prison, get bent by the difficulty spike, turn it off and then have too start all over again ;_;
I beat this game so many times on gamecube as a kid.
just moved an unpacked my PS2 lmao. still works. now just gotta find my copy of metal arms
I remember watching my older brother playing this for hours and hours. Hell yeah
Downpatrick Xtravision jumpscare!
Shut that down just as I was leaving tech, never played bounty hunter but nice to get a wee pang of nostalgia offa this video all the same.
I remember going to the movie gallery and renting morrowind over and over and over again... never beat it when I was a kid but had a hell of a lot of fun.
I am so sad that I didn't ever play this, it looks amazing!
Dude you putting the ps2 sound over the n64 logo gave me whiplash lol
Heck yeah! A new Micky D video! :-) Just what the doctor ordered! Laughter is truly the best medicine!
I was literally recounting my memory of renting this game from Blockbuster when I was a kid, when you mentioned exactly that lol.
Republic Commando is an amazing game, would be worth a couple videos once you got the squad commands down!
I had a dream you did this video. Thank you for the birthday, Santa man.
man instead of more star wars games this made me nostalgic to revisit oddworld stranger's wrath for more bounty hunting vibes
I remember Glover! It was a pretty cool game! =D
The glover crawl was really good lol
I borrowed this game from a friend when I was younger remember thinking it was the best graphics I have ever seen
One of the main flaws in this game is that to fire you have to break your thumbs pressing the fire button
also the icon on the arena is the pepsi logo
The gamecube version actually gives you a hint where to go with a bacta canister in front of the grate
Hahah, it must be my Irish ancestry that makes it incredibly entertaining every time my dog slides on the linoleum.
Shadows of the Empire was my favorite Star Wars game as a kid, though I liked the SNES side scroller where you attack a sandcrawler with a lightsaber.
I love that there is at least one other person advocating for another republic commando game . Honestly even just a remake in a modern engine would kinda be amazing
I was just thinking the other day how perfect of a game this would be for Micky D to play and bam here it is 🙌🏻
I used to play this game as a kid😂such a great game
Bon Jovi makes this video a lot more fun lol
Oh man, ol Starwars games! Yes, and please Oirish man!
great video like always micky
For more jetpack action, fire up Shadows of the Empire. You can genocide wampas and disintegrate aliens with the best of em
People talking about Skyrim being re released. This game came out for the PS2 era, and was later released for PS3, PS4 and now PS5... check mate Todd!
As a kid I was playing dark forces and jedi knight serie. Its a shame i didnt knew about this one
Ya got a like just for the game. I had such a blast with this game as a kid. I’m looking forward to the video!
Very cool, I played this as a kid. The later levels are very hard. I raged a lot.
I prefer Jango because his color scheme makes sense to me and had a character that anyone who wrote with him, agreed on.
