I love FSTL. For being freeware it’s amazing. You have tons of aircraft injection options to play with so you can suit it to your personal rig’s specs. Highly recommended and install is a breeze. Also highly recommend SeaFront for world shipping. Plus the Great Lakes is on the drawing board to be released as a free upgrade to Global Traffic in the very near future!
I'm a casual gamer and still a rookie but flyable aircraft aside, FSTL has provided the single biggest improvement for me thus far. Hated all those generic AC and liveries.
Damnn that airbus tutorial trailer is crazy detailed sir, you also explain it articulately and very clear im gonna sub for this you really help new aviation simmers like me to understand the aircraft better. And i hope you do one with boeing too
This comment age like milk actually, because this guy never continue that Airbus Tutorial (Airbus Dissected Series).... for your question about the mods it sold separately from MSFS marketplace.. "Have you ever felt alone in the skys" Should have played MSFS back in the V3.0 or V4.0 days where major cities like Chicago was represented by maybe 4 of 5 buildings.
I remember the Sopwith Camel dogfighting arena on FS2 was it? Only cities were Chicago down to Bloomington, and the San Francisco area, Seattle area and New York. But yeah, 4 buildings and a flat green plain for 2000 miles in between with no scenery at all. I remember thinking in '83 it would be 40 years before we have a killer flight sim. I was right. It was about 40 years.
I love FSLTL wouldn't fly without it ,But I have one minor problem with it, the aircraft don't rotate when taking off they just lift off the runway with all three gear at once.
Unfortunately, that's a byproduct of MSFS, not FSLTL. MSFS has always had poor takeoff physics, for airliners in particular, and they don't have fixing it very high on their priority list as far as I can tell.
Man, Ive had no luck with GSX pro. Quit using it sometime back. Was just constantly fighting with it. It also did not add to my immersion, but rather was distracting because of the issues it has with ground crew walking through the plane, or the fuel truck driving through the engine etc etc. Even the many popup screens that request responses for fuel, loading and so on. I finally quit using it.
I downloaded it last week. I thought after a while it would be sorted . How foolish was i. The worst money ive ever spent. 😢 Total complete rubbish and fs dreams were not interested in the slightest in giving me a refund. Theyre just con men.
Did you grab any of the profiles out there that were created for different planes? The default ones have the issues you mention, but users have created profiles that fix a lot of those issues.
I know what you mean but I advise you to look up some of the MSFS tutorials to get your rig running as efficiently as possible. I personally had issues myself with FSLTL but having used FS Traffic, I prefer it FSLTL. They constantly update it and now there is really great spacing between incoming traffic on final. Far less go-arounds and it is very immersing when you're like, third in lime on final.
Just lower the parked traffic by a lot, greatly reduce your traffic range (you should do this anyways, having a traffic range of 50 miles does nothing since you can’t see that far, you should just do like 10) and ofc reduce ifr traffic. And remove all the ga parked traffic. At small regional airports that aren’t hand crafted there’s a bug that causes ga aircraft to park at gates.
Could you maybe do a more in depth video about GSX Pro? I've been thinking about buying it but all the vidoes I look up about it are like a year or more old and no one has up to date videos.
I have exactly that with a 13th gen i913900k and my fps are around 80-90 on ground with heavy payware airports, traffic etc, all settings maxed and in the air around 130-138 fps. Buttery smooth . I have the frame regen on that only 4000 series cards can get in MSFS settings. That’s the trick right there. You gotta be on DX12 beta in the sim to get that option. I play on 4k monitor. Beautiful set up and worth every penny .
Thank you for your video. How is your experience with the RTX 4090 and heavy AI traffic, e.g. FSLTL with 100 IFR aircraft? Do you still get 60 FPS at Ultra settings?
No worries at all mate! My experience has been very good with AI traffic and the RTX 4090 - I don't know if I have extremely heavy traffic, but I do have it on the higher end of things, and as you can see from some of my recent videos, my FPS is very high still. There seems to be add-ons for everything in this sim except what it so desperately needs: water effects. Waves breaking on shores, reefs, rivers flowing, waterfalls. The majority of the planet is covered in water, and it’s not a mill pond. The oceans are the most dynamic thing on the planet. Are Niagara Falls still an ugly static texture? How about the Grand Canyon? Rapids? Bringing life to the ocean, rivers and lakes would do wonders to make the sim feel more immersive and alive, yet no developer seems to care. Its absence sticks out like a sore thumb.
I love everything about FS but they got to improve on the water. If you land in the water you get what am saying the water is not that realistic like the one on call of duty modern warfare.
If I’m gonna be honest I don’t like gsx. I bought it and regret it. I can’t customize the jetways afaik and the default jetways all have stupid logos on them and the logos aren’t even for airlines, they are for car rental companies, that’s unrealistic. Nearly all jetways in the us don’t have logos on them and they especially do not have logos for companies like car rental ones. The only airports I can think of that have logos on jetways is ATL and MDW. And the logos are for Airlines (delta and southwest)

if you use GSX correctly it's great, i think you saying GSX is garbage is more of a skill issue. I've been using it since it came out and has improved a huge amount and works brilliantly. Make sure you have profiles installed for the airports you're flying to.
About the ships add-on, it might be okay when you're at low altitude in a GA aircraft, but when you're at cruise altitude of 34,000+ feet above any of the oceans, going at Mach .85 in a Boeing or an Airbus commercial airliner, who cares about the ships that often appear as little specs on the ocean's surface? LOL.. Plus this a flight simulator, not a ship simulator!..🙂
Hmm, I must say I can’t agree with you there mate; by that logic, the same argument can be made about photogrammetry in general. At 34.000 feet, who really cares about which buildings, solar panels, transformer lines and more are being generated. I think the “little specs” add to the immersion and create that spontaneity which can often be missing when you have everything planned in a point-to-point flight :)
@@FlyBySimulations - Thank you, my point was to reduce the number of unneeded objects, such as cargo ships.
