Dr Sturgis was absolutely right - Sheldon gave him some help, but he did not co-right the paper, therefore a special mention in the footnotes was fair

@Christopher Bingham when sheldon wanted the computer he got it even though she originally said no and he gets everything so don't lie watch the show it's plain obvious sheldon gets everything because hes a innocent little angel while missy and goarge have to be neglected and treated horribly
I have never seen this show it just came up for some reason. I am in science though. If the mathematical formalization comment is true then he absolutely should be a co-author.

Sheldon has gotten away with insulting his elders and those who are ahead of him in their careers for too long. He is only 11 years old and thinks he knows more than his college professors. He needs to be put in his place more often. The only problem is when Dr. Sturgis tells him not to come to his class any more, later in the season he is still attending and no indication of him apologizing to Dr. Sturgis.
He _does_ know more than his professors in a lot of ways. He's certainly smarter than you'll ever be

@@christopherbingham5092 As I recall, Sheldon's answer was marked incorrect because he was supposed to use a particular formula which he did not. He got the right answer but not using the method he was told to by the professor.

Dr Sturgis is right ! Sheldon is acting very arrogant at this age.
I dont see anything wrong with the trophy store guy in this, there was no reason to have female trophies for baseball at that time especially in texas, he gave her a set rate for custom made trophies and didn't refuse her business even after being talked down to

I still like this show and I used to be a big fan of the big bang theory. In my honest opinion Sheldon should of been a lot more grateful to Dr. Sturgis because at least Dr. Sturgis was willing to give a thanks to him in the footnotes on Dr. Sturgis scientific paper but Sheldon wanted way more credit than that. No wonder Sheldon turned out the way he did because his mom was to strict on him and she should of done a much better job of raising Sheldon. I am looking foward to the Georgie and the spinoff about his family.

Idk he didn't co-write the paper but that was a critical piece of information. I get maybe not saying he co-wrote it, but he definitely deserved more than a foot note.

I don't know whether it is different in physics, but in my type of research, there is nothing else. There is co-writing, and there is footnotes (we call them "acknowledgements" in my field), and that is it.
