I have been a practitioner for roughly 25 years. I randomly came across your channel and I'm glad I did. I am very picky with the things I watch and listen to (especially now a days with witchcraft on the rise and every one thinking they're a master of "something" after only a year of practicing) I have come across a lot of false information. I find your channel very refreshing and informative. This year I made the resolution to dive deeper into my ancestry (Sicilian/Italian being one) I just wanted to say thank you for your knowledge and sharing. This video especially, I loved. ❤
When Frankie does videos like this it pushes me more and more into wanting to further learn and be allies with plants. I already love flowers and plants in general but haven't really dived into working with them or having a connection with them. Always drawn to poppies from loving Hypnos and always loved flowers and it reconnected again when I am learning more about Flora, Goddess of flowers and the spring (had a book of all flowers) but diving more into learning more what is associated with deities that I love and admire Thanks for this video Frankie!!
OMG!! I am crying and laughing SO HARD right now. I recognized a couple of words after your "lube" comment that I know so many people hate or get irritated by them and one of those people is my ex-husband and I am losing it. In a very good way. I am crack up. "Wet" "Moist" "Lube/Lubricate Seriously though, you were the first witch I found on RUclips in 2020 when I started waking up. I have watched most of your video's since but I watch RUclips on my TV, so I don't tend to leave lot of comments. I wanted to tell that you always make me laugh and I have really needed it over the past couple of years dealing with divorce. I am looking up the Root Circle to see as it sounds Amazeballs but am on a very limited income so got my fingers crossed. I wish I could have you as a teacher. I just understand you and how you explain things well and I am just north of you in Montana.
Fennel and creativity was a surprising thing to hear about, but it also makes sense from my own experience! I love using fennel in magic that's meant to be shared - making teas with her to share with my family after a meal is a favorite everyday thing of mine, and people are always surprised by how good she tastes!
I got chills so many times during this video, thank you for sharing your experience ❤ I've been feeling a bit disconnected from my practice for the past few months, but this has really inspired me to reconnect with myself and my craft!
It's really interesting that you learnt about both Italian and Greek herb allies. I am Greek and I've found it really hard to find folk magic resources, so I researched some Italian folk magic and there seems to be quite a lot of overlap. I mean, it's expected because we are close together geographically, but still really interesting!
I have always been curious about plant allies/ herbal allies because it just feels something that's talked about very less? So I love that we get to hear your experiences! Congratulations on your shop
I've been starting to get into gardening more this year. It started with one plant and now i have at least four lol the one ive been loving to work with the most has been my rosary plant (aka string of pearls). This plant means a lot to me because both sides of my family have associations with it. The way i connect with my plant allies is every time i water them i say a little prayer to them. In my practice i like to be very hands on so i think gardening has been a really great way to not only connect with my plants but also being able to watch them grow is very satisfying ❤ 🌿 they've helped me a lot in my spiritual journey as well
I freaking LOVED this video, I've been spending more time in the garden with some of the herbs I'm growing there trying to get to know them better, so this is perfect timing. I'm so interested in this course, so I'll be checking that out too. Thanks for sharing lovely one ❤
The ancestral plants of the people in your life can also have a special relationship to you. I had a strong urge to get lemon for months because its an ancestral plant of a close friend
This is a beautiful video, would love to know more on how to connect with my favorite herbs because I feel an intense call or draw to Cat Nip,Lingonberries and Dandelions among others. Heres just three.... The feelings when I work with cat nip; its very exciting energy, very lovingand sometimes has a sexy energy to it and also a very welcoming energy as well. When I breath the cat nip in,all my depression and sadness that I had goes away. Lingonberries is more of a family feeling(before I knew my dads side of the family is Swedish.😃) I connected so deeply to the lingonberry that I totally felt the hard work my ancestors put into preserving them for the harsh winters,I felt a really old Grandmother energy in the berries when they were like this other than when their fresh berries; its more of a festive energy,a lot of happiness and excitement, much love in them. I also felt a lot of healing energies as well. Dandelions have a total childlike energy, its always telling me;"Don't loose that child in you because you grew up,it helps in life. Don't stop being happy..." Its got the energy of the surface of the sun and its as strong as a pot if coffee when I drink the tea,its great for anemia( which I have and its horrible...) I connected to this plant as much as I could and it gave me this energy saying I was done with my lesson. I'm so happy this video jumped out at me today, great work on it and it was really educational too😊looking firward to more!
Here from the beginning and this is probably my favorite video you’ve made so far. I’ve been using rue cologne almost on the daily, just like home made rosewater for about a year now I’d say without giving it much thought. This is definitely a call to dive deeper.
Hi, Frankie! How do you connect with the plants? I don't understand how people learn and build relationships with plants at all. How do you know what they want? I really want to connect with plants, but I am so stumped when I'm told to just meditate or hug a tree :(
It's funny, I'm doing this right now, not the class, just testing ancestral plants. Mint is one that's always been there, a few others have been less evident, but I'm still testing them in as many ways as I can.
Hi my name is michelle and I’m a new witch practitioner and I want to connect with plants and herbal Allie’s I wanted to try and order some flower essences what is the website were you get yours I’ve been also learning how to make some of my own as well I am also of Italian decent among a few other nationalities as well I love your channel so much you are awesome I finally feel like I belong some where and that I have gifts that can help my self and others thank you
Hi, Michelle. My name is Michele. I have been a Irish Folk Witch/Green Witch/Elemental Witch( LOL ) for 4 years but have no one around to learn from so it is going very slow... Books and RUclips have been awesome but it would also be nice to have someone to talk to about all this, aka Witchcraft.. I want to connect with plants and Herbal Allies too. And I have about 15 years of crystal knowledge though. If you want to connect, I try to check here, but my name on ig is the same as here but without the numbers. Can't have too many Witch friends!! Blessed Be
Lovely video as always frankie ❤️ I do have one question though : since you said it is rooted in italian folk magick, can non italians do it or would it be appropriation since it is a closed practice? I really do feel connections with certain plants, so I was wondering if it would be possible to take the course one day even if I am not of italian descent. And if not, are there « substitutes » of some sorts for working with plant spirits? (I am french btw and I havent been able to find ressources about french folk magick and no one seems to be speaking of it so if you actually know anything about it I would love to know)Again thank you for this beautiful well made video❤️♥️
Ancestral herbal allies are not a closed practice! Recognizing plants as teachers and spirits is more broad than Italian folk magic and used in so many cultures and traditions and different practices!
Hey! Witch Aunt! I was raised southern Baptist where we literally DID NOT TALK ABOUT Mother Mary or the saints.. how tf do I work with them respectfully and in a way where I don't come across as like entitled or disrespectful?
Okay so I'm not Frankie buuuut, I'd suggest make a space for Marry and the Saints you wanna work with. Small statues, pictures of them, candles for them, small gifts, excreta. Most of the time if you approach entities with respect and truth, it'll go well
Not Frankie either, but I can have some info. Veneration of Saints is typical for Catholics and Ortodox Christianity, so you'll have more info from their sources. I'd say that you should try read as much as you can about each Saint you want to work with - their stories, their legends are usually easily accesible, you can find some on wikipedia and then using its list of sources branch out into more details. This way you'll avoid simple mistakes like buying very expensive stuff for Saint that was super ascetic. Also choose what exact tradition you want to connect through. Saint veneration in Polish, Italian and Irish Catholicism will be vastly different from one another, and we even didn't get into Orthodox ways. I'd suggest starting with prayers - once you decide on specific tradition you'll probably find exact prayer to Saint you want to work with and when they have their holiday. Hope this helps :)
Like I have always always been kinda peeping Mother Mary, like always had a interest and I'm kinda feeling like I should .. pray to saint Anthony or something? Idk I was like mentally "how do I fix this" and those two came to mind.. but I don't wanna be like "hi, never talked to u before.. but like u should help me" I feel like that's.. maybe rude?
Then make a space for them! Small statues, pictures of them, specific herbs, candles for them, small offerings. Give something and invite them in first ☺️
The way you talk about your relationships with the herbs makes me interested in looking into herbal allies, but I’m going to think about if it is right for me or not before I do anything. Too many spiritual projects and research on my plate already. 😂 “Is there grass in there?” Made me laugh. Screw my sore throat. Screw the flu. I’m going to laugh and try to be happy in this misery.
Real question not an attack but if I heard you right, did you say it was unfair to people who paid for the knowledge for people who have the knowledge to give it away for free?
I think what they means is that this person did a lot to know stuff and that she is now like living from sharing this knowlege and if someone would say stuff for free, people wouldnt buy her class and it wont be just disrespect for her work but also it would make her harder to make money and live
With some of the knowledge, yes, only because the nature of some of the knowledge received. I'm usually someone who opts for sharing of knowledge, especially from books, sources, etc, however since a lot of the lessons in this class are either experience based, come from the sitting in the circle with community and put together research from the teacher (including recipes, prayers, etc), some of it I feel uncomfortable sharing. There's also the element that Giraffanny shared - I want people to, when financially able, pursue this class and learn from this teacher. I don't want to learn the knowledge and then distribute it to people and take away the possibility of people taking the course because they are getting the course materials from me for free.
help 😭 i put the video on with airpods and was going around the room, so the intro being 'focus on me' really freaked me out for a hot second 😭😭😭
IM SORRY

Rosemary is my #1 friend. I use her for everything. (And also she’s delicious)🤣
