This was not a tribute to our late Queen. Today is known as Accession day, when Charles became King. This is the reason salutes were fired, and will be fired on this date every year until King Charles is succeeded.

We do not annually commemorate the death of monarchs (apart from, for some reason. that idiot Charles I who was executed for treason - Donald Trump should take note) we annually celebrate the accession of the new monarch in the hope that their reign will be better than the last one!😃

This isn't something you would see every morning on the way to the supermarket is it! We certainly know how to do pageantry in these islands of ours. That why we get so many tourists, we know how to put on a working show. Wonderful.

The brown horses are certainly bays. I had a horsey friend who explained to me that a brown horse with a mane and tail darker than the body is a bay, while if they are lighter than the body it's a chestnut. But I don't know what breed they are.
Not true... I've been reading the live chat from The Guard channel plus watching the live video and also saw that you asked about it. They said that the horse box was there in case of an emergency and that no horse was taken away or collapsed.
Are these Metropolitan Police before and after the Royal Horse Artillery, or special defense police? Is the Royal Horse Artillery going to fire for the King's Accession Day?
