Nah be fearless! Even if you fail who cares just use acetone. Paint over it. Start w/some mad cheap shoes. Go from there.
Make the mistake your unique style.
Use pencil
Use old shoes you don't wear or are to small for you after you perfect that customize ur air forces
Get another par to do. Each one I customize I’m buying a new pair

pointt if you order them off Nike they’re $90 and with tax around $102. Just to lyk, so knocks off a couple dollars
or use some other white shoes to paint
This may or may not help: Purchase them from a site that accepts 'Afterpay' (download the app). There are other ones like it also. It breaks the price up into 4 even payments, pay every two weeks I believe. And plain white AF1s you should def be able to find for $90-$100.

Love the vid, this sounds dumb but what brand is the tape? When I customize my shoes and use masking tape the paint goes right under.

It’s quite an expensive hobby
Just save till you can afford basics, good luck
The good thing is, you can purchase just a little at a time. Start with what you need for just one pair with a simple 2 or 3 color design. Paint brushes $5 or less, small Angelus paint $6 each= can start for less than $20, not including shoes of course. Practice with some you already have and then it will be like you have a new pair of shoes when you're done.
@@l.a.picasa curious how much paint is needed for a pair. The Angelus comes in 1oz and 4oz bottles, if you were paint for example, just the toe box and two swooshs on a Jordan 1 set, is a 1oz bottle safe or do you need more?
@@mikeh3468 that would be plenty because you want to do each coat very thin.

@@jaimemassa4085 Yes. There is some finishers, you can use and it's better to put some cotes to protect the paint. Angelo's mate finisher with some duller many is the best.

When I do customs say I do one part of a shoe and I do the next another day do I have to put finisher on each day or at the end of it all or is it just better to do it in one sitting

Love the video, i have a personal opinion and tip about that. Note, its my personal opinion so do with it what you want! Try to downsize the volume of the music in the video because the difference in you speaking and the music in the fast forward is too big for me, which results in me keep adjusting the volume. Besides that love the content and keep it going king!!
How long does the finisher take to dry and to retouch colors already on shoes do you still have to acetone them?
