How many of the 'hoorah' people place a priority on deep reading in their lives or even make time for it? Mattis is a national role model and a noble symbol of what every Marine should aspire to be: a person who grasps that a real soldier is a 'thinker' more than a 'rifleman'. Anyone can be a beer-chugging, gun-loving, truck-driving, early child-having, financially irresponsible, sports-watching, wannabe toughguy of average intelligence trying to escape debt. Then there are those like Mattis. The armed forces should be a way of life, not an opportunity for a steady income. Not everyone who wore the uniform was or ever will be a 'soldier'.
I served 8 years in the army. I saw women accusing men or rape because they didnt want their man to know she was cheating. I saw women getting favortism for fear of equal oppurtunity complaints. I said it the and ill say it now, its not that women dont belong in the military, its that meither gender is mature enough. As far as trans, i knew someone who openly atmitted they only joined because the militart would pay for their surgery, also knowing that the surgery makes them un-deployable. Then when trump suspended paying for their surgery, this freak tried to get kicked out to avoid the upcomimg deployment! Kwep the military staraight male only until the living trash known as the human race is mature enough to handle it! Its a fighting force, not a social expiriment.
