Thank you!
You always provide so much useful information for new homeowners or even us longtime local residents. Thank you for making these videos and sharing amazing DMV tips.
Our pleasure!
Great video! I learned so much and I love DC!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much for this video! We’re moving in a few months and I was confused of the NW NE on the end of every address.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much - So often people move without really knowing the CONS as well as the pros ! Can leave them flabbergasted .
Loved it
Thank you! Happy holidays!

What an amazing video I am moving to Washington DC from New Jersey and I am a huge hockey fan and have played all my life the first thing I did after getting hired for my job is buy a capitals season ticket for next season definitely can’t wait to Rock the red and I definitely love wine a lot I am going to be going to the Georgetown university and working at the six flags America it will especially be nice because my dad got a job down there and he has told me great things about Dc only down side is I will miss being only 2 blocks from the beach it looks like the closest beach to Dc is 3 hours away so I will just commute back to Nj to visit friends at that rate sorry for the long comment but amazing video I liked and subscribed
Thank you so much and welcome to DC!
My company has an office in Chantilly, so I’m considering moving near there! I’m from VT and need more excitement in my life 😁
Also Howard University
HU is a private university
@@allaroundstrong I know that dear... It is still apart of D.C. and is a D.C. college
@@Dascorpion_Belleza well, then there's also Georgetown, GW, AU, Catholic, and more. She said there's only one PUBLIC university.
It’s so funny to hear descriptions about weather in D.C. It completely depends on where you lived before moving here (since most of us are transplants). I grew up in the very deep South and cannot understand why D.C. homes even have air condition since it’s only hot about 4 weeks of the year to me. Meanwhile, it drops into the 50’s and I’m looking for my parka and muk-luk boots.
So funny. It’s been mid to high 90’s (feels like 100) all month and I can’t stand to be outside 😂😂😂
@@CarynGardiner to be clear, we are absolutely in that 4 weeks of hot. You’ll get no argument from me this week about staying inside. 😁
I’m planning to move to d.c thanks
Awesome! Let me know if we can help
Is it expensive for international students to stay at or around Johns Hopkins University in DC ?
Honestly, I’m not in the rental market but I can find someone to help you if you’d like. Just text me directly 😊
I’m planning to move to Washington D.C from Alaska what is the minimum wage ?
Yay! Welcome in advance! Let me know if my team can help you. We have so many people moving here and want to make it as seamless as possible.
According to dc.gov :
Minimum Wage - Beginning July 1, 2020, the minimum wage in the District of Columbia will increase from $14.00 per hour to $15.00 per hour for all workers, regardless of the size of the employer.
The base minimum wage for tipped employees will increase from $4.45 per hour to $5.00. However, if an employee’s hourly tip earnings (averaged weekly) added to the base minimum wage do not equal the District’s full minimum wage, the employer must pay the difference.
That's the difference between DC and Baltimore, Baltimore DOES NOT shut down when it snows...
Ha Ha! It's true! DC shuts down with the "thought" of snow!

I was wondering how drunk this girl was before her last “fact”... now I know.
Thank you for watching!
lmao
FYI.................
5213 Jay St NE
Washington, DC 20019
True but there’s still no J st! ☺️. Thank you for watching!
Looking like Celine Dion
Thank you!
It seem like you tried a lot, but you still could’ve did a lot better with advice. When I see someone who is not from here and they ask about the area most of these things wouldn’t be mentioned. This was too simple and not very informative about the area. You might be a local but I very much doubt that you’re a Native, born & raised in Washington, D.C.
Thank you for watching! I actually was born in DC and grew up here. This is a fun video! I have others on pros and cons of DC. Take a look :-) and happy holidays!
@@CarynGardiner I find that surprising that you are from here because you didn’t mention much about the locals, culture, history, or recent changes to the city. Most of the things you said can be said about many other major cities. I don’t know 🤷🏾♂️, just expected more from a native like you and I.
@@officialalonzo263 thank you for ideas for future videos. And thank you again for watching!
You didn’t mention anything about our culture like Go-go music
Got to save some stuff for future videos ☺️
DC used to be an all black city. So Go Go music is actually apart of the black community of DC. White people are coming in and claiming it as their own 😑. I’m a 3rd gen native of DC so I know
Hey. I want to move to DC but I want to rent
let me know if you need some help!
@@CarynGardiner I most definitely do! I don't make twice the rent
Fox
The information provided is culturally tone deaf.
Thanks for watching. Sometimes it’s ok to have a little fun.
first nice karen i have encounter
Thank you.
