Black Templars have one.

The Iron Warriors has all the astartes bits active, unlike the defective sons of dorn

To address your conerns regarding our lineage, lord Valrak, i would like to quote a common phrase used among the various ranks of the Minotaurs:
"cope and seethe"
The main evidence is that the Minotaurs don't suck like the Sons of Doorknob.
Best chapter best lore!
I don't believe that chapters like Sons of the Phoenix would turn to chaos on a whim like that. Great heroes of the Imperium like Garro and Dantioch were of traitor lineage.
Sons of the Phoenix: *random encounter's Fulgrim*
Fulgrim: "Join Me and together we'll rule the Galaxy as Father and Sons"
SOTP Librarian: *is overcome by the warp* "I FEEL THE WARP OVERTAKEING ME... IT IS A GOOD PAIN"
Fulgrim: "Yes, let the TAINT flow through you! Tell us your Name my Neverborn friend. Oh to think what Glories we and my sons shall achieve"
Possesed Librarian: "That you still think I seek any glory

I recall the struggles and the things that we have done!
I will not be deterred from my vengeance
I remember the lessons passed on to the Sons!

Valrak, we already know the Iron Warriors are better than the Imperial Fists, we don’t need any more convincing.
Peter Turbo > Dorn
No Valrak when the High Lords tell the Minotaurs to "Jump", they do not ask "How high?" for that would be questioning the High Lord's orders...and the Minotaurs do not question their orders, they follow them without question...like the lap dog curs they are
since the heresy, the minotaurs have always been of dorn's lineage
I see what you did there 👀
You’re not fooling us ironrak we all know Dorn is Perty with a toupee on

Also never go into a ship with an Imperial Fist, after they say they have your back. The last 2 people to make that mistake, are now sitting on the Goldern Throne and is buried on Baal
Mine-o-taurs lol...
Well, of course the Minotaurs is actually functional chapter unlike a yellow sandcastle chapter
Hold up! Valrak releases this video to clear up the Iron Warrior lineage of the Minotaurs around the same time he is more and more committing to building up his own IW army.... Well well well, it seems that corruption can even spread to the strongest sons of Dorn! Circles within circles, or more like Iron within Rak?!
scams within scams!
I mean are you surprised
The black templars are basically wannabe Word Bearers and they even honour Lorgar as a Saint
Valrak is transparent. I see scams within scams. I see two loyalist chapters, the Imperial Fists and the Minotaurs, feuding. I see Valrak behind it.
I did not say this. I am not here.
Hasn’t this been known for a while that that they were “officially” imperial fists successors but unofficially they were iron warriors due to tactics and personality?
That has been retconned. Everyone knows that any black Templar with an IQ higher than a basset hound gets put in the Minotaurs.
[Goes "hmm, yes I really need to do that Minotaurs army that I keep promising myself...."]
I was just this week researching the Minotaura for an upcoming Votann project ... how serendipitous
Valrak aka Shamrak, as you say about rumours, Anything is possible, until GW (and no one else) comes out and says who the Minotaurs are desended from.
Also, until the Exorcistsare are back to their true lineage of the Grey Knights, I will view the Minotaurs as desending from the Imperial Fists.
I like the idea of Loyalist chapters descended from the Traitor Legions. Especially the OGs-Relic’s own Blood Ravens. It opens the door for Traitor Primarchs coming back to the, uh, “good” side.
This is a retcon away from them being fist successors
Good fucc em..
I can’t wait until Abaddon and Black Legion are fighting some random primarius chapter space marine, and comes across one without a helmet on and boom! It’s another little Horus and then he start tearing through bodies on the battlefield, finally finding an apothecary biologist and interrogating him about who is their Genefather and watching Abbdon mind breaking as he see flashbacks of all the brothers he lost and Horus, realizing there are new lunar wolves in the galaxy he must eradicate them …but also use the new geneseed to make more chaos marines
I think Cawl already made the traitor seed primaris and hasn’t deployed them.
So what I'm hearing in this one is it's perfectly fine to make loyal Night Lords and Luna Wolves.
I still reckon in more recent lore they came from that surviving Thunder Warrior, Arik Terranis, who was a crime lord during the siege of Terra. He captured geneseed from bunch of Astartes known as the Outcast Dead during the siege and apparently used their geneseed to cure the thunder warrior defiencies - he was accompanied by a gang of other surviving Thunder Warriors who presumably were cured and we have thus far heard nothing more about. Oh also some of the Outcast Dead had stolen Custodes weapons.. guess what Asterion Moloch carries? Also Arik's gang's iconography looked a LOT like the Minotaur's chapter sigil.
Counterpoint about chapters being drawn to their lineage father! Some of the coolest characters of the Heresy were those who resisted their fathers! And there were large numbers who did!
This solves the argument about their Chapter Master supposedly being the ultra BAMF. The Red Wake thirsts!!!
Thought it was going to read
High Lords : Body Count
Minotaurs : How High?
High Lords : Yes
The High Lords say, "jump", and the Minotaurs say, "at who"
And now I'm suddenly interested in playing as Minotaurs!
So the Minotaur's are Sons of Dorn and not Sons of Perturabo as often was suspected?
That raises the question, what exactly is the difference between the Imperial Fists/Rogal Dorn and the Iron Warriors/Perturabo? 🤔
Of course an Iron Warrior would recognize another Iron Warrior. Valrack likes to think he is an Imperial Fist, but deep down knows that he an Iron Warrior. For he agrees with Iron within, Iron without.
11th ed story beat: Heresy II.
All primarchs return. The Imperium is rent by schism as Guilliman, el’Jonson and Russ establish fiefs, each claiming the mantle of imperial regent.
No Xenos codexes have to be written for 4 years. 18 all new Space Marine chapter sprues are issued.
I cane aee the high lord thinking "You know what would be great against loyalist space marines? Traitor geneseed! Fuck I am so smart" and that being the entire logic behind it
I was trying to think what my second space marines chapter was going to be. Thanks for this video, Valrak. I've decided on the Minotaurs.🤣
*Valrak starts telling about the gene lineage*
Me: “here we go..”
In my opinion the loyalist chapters with such origins is that they are founded from loyalist cells from the heresy and it's their geneseed being used because they defied their primarch once.
Oh yeah, perturabo loved building a big maze wherever he went so that chapter name makes perfect sense
"I HAVE EVIDENCE!" like he's about bring down the whole government.
I DID
"Blood of Badab be forgiven, So i Lament"
"For those we cherish, we die in glory"
"Fuck the Minotaurs!"
- Popular Lamenter phrases
Gw twitter “Since the first of the cursed founding the Minotaurs have always been imperial fists’ successors.” 😂
the Son's of the Phoenix are sons of Dorn, the creator say it. But he see all the theory and loves them, soooo you can trust what you want ^^
I always thought the Minotaurs might have a touch of Thunder Warriors about them. But it is nice to know now.
Always thought the scent of Perturabo was on the Minotaur chapter, now we just need to find out the true origins of the Carcharodon chapter gene seed.
Well it makes sense when you realize that Perturabo came from a planet called Olympia. The reference between the Greek Mythological creature of the Minotaur and a Greek influenced planet is a solid nod.
All the Minotaurs all mumble "iron Within Iron Without
Great video and you bring up something I've always wondered: what if a ship full of pre-Heresy traitor marines appeared out of the warp in M42? They're loyal, but would Gulliman and the Lion take a chance on them turning heretic if the marines had to fight their Gene-Father?
🤔
Blood Ravens - Magnus the Red
Minotaurs - Perterabo
Exorcists - Logar
Carcharadons - Conrad Curze
Sons of the Phoenix - Fulgrim
5:15 You mention that the Sons of the Phoenix are Emperor's Children. If we go by your logic, and take what the chapter's author says as the true canon, their creator - Maxime Pastourel - specifically said that their primogenitor was Rogal Dorn.
Amongst my numerous marines I have a collection of Minotaurs and Iron Warriors, so I'm happy 🎉
Man you've just made me like an "imperial" chapter, how could you do this to my heretical brain!
The Minotaurs are Alpha Legion, The Chapter Master is Omegon trying to make up for his Brothers Betrayal and inflicting horrific retribution against any Astartes who has turned from his Fathers Light.
I’ve often wondered if their CM might be a custodes, albeit one that is half or mostly cybernetic.
5:52 What I am hearing is that we need Marines from sources that do not have living Primarchs. Time for some Luna Wolves and Night Lords successors.
Alpha legion just standing around giggling to themselves
I really enjoy your in-universe zealous energy. It is good fun.
Closet heretical Imperial Fists be like:
TBF the IW never really fell to choas.
Perturabo only sided with Horus out of shame for his home world falling into rebellion and him decimating the populace with his sons.
the bitterness so RIGHTLY aimed at the wall building yellow bois was because the IW were always sent to the hardest sieges and received little praise, where as Dorn was always favoured and not tested as hard.
DAMN those ultramarines for coming to the rescue!
Oh Minotaurs I was thinking what mining space marines is he talking about
You know what would be cool is if Perturabo comes back and then the Minotaur's switch up with all their awesome gear and knowledge of the high lords.....and take all that right to Perturabo and it was his plan the whole time lol
I'm saying this just to mess with people: "Iron Warriors. Imperial Fists. Both are the same to a T. The only difference is their Dad. and colors."
Honestly I loved the theory where people thought that the Minotaurs where either one of the lost legions or a successor chapter of the lost legions
Well... that shoots my theory that they were a pre-primaris Space Wolves successor, stabilized by Ultramarine gene-seed so they wouldn't run into the same problems they did in the 2nd founding. I thought the High Lords just wanted a piece of the legion that burned Prospero
I've always thought Asterion Maloc was a Custodian.
Theoretical: The "immunity to chaos" claimed about the Primaris could simply being able to ignore their primarchs.
Theoretical: Primaris Marines have already shown to occasionally have their chapter's gene curses.
Practical: Primaris Marines may still develop primarch loyalty do to gene seed mutation.
Wait for the sons of the pheonix to punch their traitor father in the face! XD
How dare you lay such slander upon my dudes 😂
Love the channel mate keep up the good work ❤
"The Minotaurs have always been Imperial Fist successors"
LIES
That’s the reason they are so efficient in what they are doing.
I'm convinced that the Black Vipers are Alpha Legion successors
Don’t worry we will be on the look out for heretics in Space Marine 2
Duh, I’m right here. Praise the One Undivided.
Iron Warriors/Perterabo have an Ancient Greek theme. Minotaurs fits into that theme nicely.
I was hoping it was a mix between world eaters and iron warriors.
Haha, love your video and understand your opinion and frustration. I personally like Dorn descendants evens the black Templar lunatics so to have Minotaurs associated with them would feel embarrassing and disgraceful to their lineage.
That being said, I am of the mind that marines descended from traitor legions isn’t an automatic fail tactic if they meet their gene father. Also remember Istvaan 3: there were enough loyalist from the traitor legions that bogged down the traitors for months, even with Angron personally fighting.
And although I also despise the Iron Warriors, this name prevents me from considering them irredeemable:
Barbaras Dantioch (hope I got the name right) the most bro tier of Iron Warriors.
Bear in mind the Blood Ravens are also supposedly 1K son’s descendants and they are still cool.
Dawn, Perterabo, same thing really...
Yeah, the issue there is that, what the original author said 10 years ago genuinely has no weight now. GW themselves aid everything published before the Dark Imperium Trilogy and Indomitus was to be considered subject to change. There also has not been any new Minotaur content for years. Assuming the Minotaurs still exist in canon? They're going to exist in whatever capacity GW says they do. And if that's as Imperial Fist successors? Oh well.
I was about to comment “why you hate the Minotaurs”
Then he instantly explains
Femtodes and Iron Warrior Minotaurs. The great kept secrets.
