I was involved with a meretricious gf. Cheated on me, then I cut her off and she went vindictive with me as if I was to blame for it. And I never understood why. Now I understand.
I was married twice, both were meretricious women. I've never heard that word before so while reflecting on my decisions of the past and trying to understand why I made those choices I described them to myself as no character. Once I realized these women had no character I asked myself many times why I was attracted to them? The answer came to me the other day while I was at work thinking about the strange behavior of my mother. She passed away over a year ago at the age of 93 and I was randomly thinking about her life. She was very attractive as a young woman but her behavior was difficult to understand much less describe. She stole things over the course of her life, mostly insignificant things that were basically worthless and lied about it. She denied any sense of the truth at all costs and always held her version as the truth. She had this strange way of portraying herself as somehow elevated usually at the cost of those closest to her. I looked up the definition and basically my mother was meretricios and without understanding that I married two of those exact same types of women. I believe I never would have figured this out for myself had it not been for the woman I've been seeing lately. At first I couldn't comprehend what was so different about her but she definitely has high character. I've known women like her but I've never dated one before. There's a lot more that I don't know how to describe but watching this video was relatable and the fact that my mother fits the definition of meretricious helps me understand why I couldn't see it. I grew up too close to it so I had no frame of reference seeing it in others. Had my mother been a lady I could have seen the opposite coming a mile away! And even more sad is the fact that had she been a lady I'd probably been attracted to that without knowing it or any reason to question it. Sort of the way I did with the meretricious ones.
I've dealt with these women before. The only way you can deal with them is to keep your distance and ignore them. If that is not possible, always be very direct, upfront, and dismissive in a very cold manner, and always, always, always keep them in check. You have to let them know upfront if they make one wrong move, you will not hesitate to destroy them, and they will pay dearly for messing with you. After doing this, this woman did not dare disrespect me ever again, esp face to face, but she tried to underhandedly undermine me, but she did not dare confront me face to face again.
