I’d honestly edge towards Criterion. It beats Kino Lorber in its catalog, having putting out (usually) fantastic movies. Criterion can sometimes go all out with their packaging, which I find to be a lot more interesting than the very uniform feel of Kino Lorber. I do also prefer the experience of walking into a Barnes and Noble to get some Criterions during the sale(s).

Like Criterion Laserdisc and Kino DVD and Blu-Ray. As for Criterion I used to buy their DVDs at Border's books which no longer exists, and they were retail and expensive those Kurosawa titles. A Kino title I need just went out of print thanks to Disney, its 20th Century FOX Mark of Zorro Blu-Ray with Tyrone Power. For the longest time it was new 14 dollar blu-ray and i said watch it go out of print. And it did.

@@megamikethemovieman , probably second hand on Ebay or something except maybe Amazon. I used to go to Barnes and i don't go there because the closest one is far away and they have high prices on books. The last two things i bought from them was a Studio Ghibli steelbook of Kiki's Delivery Service which was sold out everywhere at the time, and years before that the Cinema of George Lucas both were retail price. I like when they have something I need and no one else has but they don't do Amazon prices.

For myself , I think Madame Web. It is a good super women movie. Will be good for my granddaughter whe she is older.
Are you team Criterion or Kino Lorber?
I prefer Kino because it has more horror. But that's not saying much. To me Criterion is way overrated.🤔

Like both labels. Don’t have a preference.
They’re both a great! I just find myself getting more excited for some Criterion releases.

Its Criterion for me and it's not close. You're lucky if Kino commissions new artwork or special features. Theyre packaging is the most boring of any boutique label.
Criterion releases feel special because of the amount of special features they pack into their releases. Lots of people make Criterion haul videos during the Barnes and Noble sale and I rarely see any Kino sale haul videos.
