Model 2 games man. Just the sound of this is super nostalgic and reminds me of better days... This, VF II and Daytona USA machines at my local cinema Arcade after school
I seriously wish I could go back to 1995. Indy 500 has got to be the most underrated 90s arcade racer ever made. In fact, I would say it's better than Daytona USA for a few reasons. 1. Better sense of speed 2. Much easier to play since it doesn't require drifting to get around corners. 3. Better soundtrack in my opinion. 4. Better graphics since this came after Daytona USA.
The Legendary Sega Model 2 and 3 games still amazing. Just don't get this quality arcade experience anymore. Thank God i have a Mini PC with the Model emulation it's fantastic.
*sigh I wish that arcade didn't close down. The arcade had this, Harley-Davidson & LA Riders, Carnival King, some other newer arcade games like Deadstorm Pirates, etc. I loved the expert course and I even played the novice course with a friend. Good times!

in the mid 90s I played this game and Ridge Racer at the Arcade all the time. Usually after midnight when I get off my cooking job.

This actually reminds me too much of Laguna Seca...
AM1 based Highland on that track. The other fictional track in this game, Bay Side Street, was inspired by Long Beach and Surfers Paradise.
This game made you work your ass off to get 1st place. Good job.
The music feels like it has the Q Sound from Street Fighter Alpha 2, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter.

Because both Highland and Bay Side Street are based on real tracks used for IndyCar races.
