Classic Alpinism: Arete des Cosmiques - SOLO!

Arguably one of the most famous alpine climbs in the world, and certainly one of the most accessible, starting and finishing in the Aiguille du Midi top station. The Cosmiques arete/arete des cosmiques is a modern classic and something which is on many budding alpinist's tick lists. It also makes for a great start of season acclimatisation route as it sits at nearly 3800m, but requires minimal effort to get there! To the experienced climber it is a pleasant jaunt, as long as you dont mid fighting your way through the crowds...
