I was working at a chicken plant 5 years ago. In the middle of the shift while I was cutting chickens, in the cold, and hands hurting... I walked out in the middle of my shift and never went back. When you know, you just know. I understand it
Vontae did what most of us never do. He asked himself "Do I really want to do this?" We get pulled in by society into a job we don't like, a relationship that isn't fulfilling or a career we chose by necessity more than passion. This man broke the paradigma by actually asking himself his true will and I respect him for that.
I agree, hes a 10 year plus veteran player, but after doing that he should expect that he will never be picked up by a team ever again, but I think he's ok with that for doing it in the way that he did. I really don't have a problem with what he did. Maybe he just had a epiphany and realized "Im done". In a sense its kind of respectable in that he didn't try to play another half that he didn't feel qualified to play. He probably could have waited til after the game just because of how it looks ,and some ppl wont stand for how he did it, but I personally don't have a problem with it , at all.
Good move Vontae Davis. Football is nothing but a game. Your physical and mental health is the most important thing in the world. I applaud any man that thinks for himself. These owners have shown that they don't care about the players. You don't owe these clowns anything. You're free to leave whenever you want and only you know when you've had enough. Shannon sounds just them white folks. Go straight for the money. If the Cleveland Browns didn't give any refunds the last two years, leave Vintage alone.
@@Rivs5117 lol tyrod is trash. They couldnt even score 20 ppg last year. The defense took them to the playoffs. Browns fans are already calling for Mayfield after week 1 lmao
Gonna have to side with Davis. A job can fire you at any time, so he can quit at any time. Retiring and then staying on the sideline is like quitting your job and then going to the breakroom for another 2 hours. He said he got better things to do with his Sunday 😂
O'taveon Fitzgerald I understand your point but with him being a veteran player, he should have been respectful and waited until the next day to retire like everyone else has done.

He wouldnt sacrifice his health because they benched him. He just needed to wait until monday and tell the coaches he wanted to quit. But he chose the cowardly route
TheConsciousBlackMan King I understand your point but he should have known going into his contract signing that the Bills are not that good on paper and aren’t really going to win very many games this season.
The guy has been playing football for years meaning he could've had it before he even got drafted into the NFL. Every player on every team can probably acknowledge the fact that they have CTE already they just know it's not the end of their life just because they have it they deal with it off camera making sure they keep themselves in check for their safety while smiling and enjoying life on camera

You do not have some sacred right to do and say anything on the job, your 1st amendment rights protect you from the government not the actions of another private party. Who here after Antonio brown quit ??
"Skip you know I grew up on a farm...". I thought I was trippin' cuz that's how he started his sentence last night 😂😂😂😂
And then it had absolutely nothing to do with his point.
Shoutout Antonio Brown, best exit of the century
I'm a Bills Fan saying this ( pray for me yall). First of all Both Skip and Shannon was 100 percent on point with the comments.
Its gonna be a Long Season up here in WNY.
With 2022 hindsight it’s a trip watching them reference Josh Allen as that guy the poor Bills had to resort to starting wow just shows ya never know !
It was the NFL's version of "No Mas".
Bet this going to be looked at differently now. Bet he had some CTE issues or mental health problems hate this for his family rest easy Vontae
The only reason, I watch these videos is so I can hear Shannon go YEAAAAAHHH!! 😂😂
At the end of the day “ if your heart isn’t in it and your mind isn’t in it. I would prefer you quit too. That’s the best thing for both parties.
