Thanks for doing this. They all did excellent job on this one. So on point! But as a bassist I can't help noticing how extremely good bassist this band has!
Dany absolutely takes the spotlight here but Ale casually killing it on Flea's bassline while thinking about what she wants for dinner is a very close second!
IKR?? It's like she learned it in five minutes, and maybe practiced it a couple of times before walking into the studio... makes it look so effortless it's astonishing!!
LOL! 'Thinking about what she wants for dinner' - that's exactly what she looks like 😂 She's so chill. How can anyone not absolutely adore her. I saw something once, and have never found it again, where the girls were talking about when they did a cover of a Def Leppard song, Ale listened to it once, and had the bass line down.
@@Incognito-8884just about! I mean… they tour like crazy & when they don't… they're playing a small parking lot gig or interviewing! How did she learn such a piece… and in who's time? Incredible.
I saw Alanis in concert during her Jagged Little Pill tour back in the day and she was fantastic! She moved around the stage so much and you could feel her energy, passion and power as she sang this song. It was unusual for female singer/songwriters back then to be so raw with their lyrics and emotions. I am a long-time fan of The Warning and feel they did the song justice. Dany with her amazing vocals and facial expressions, Ale with such a cool groove and of course, Pau with her steady beat and rhythm. You can't go wrong with TW. Thanks for your reaction.
This is Pau's favorite break up song. So it was only a matter of time until they cover it. The three girls see themselves as role models, and rightly so. That's why the lyrics were rewritten here. If they drop the F-Bomb, then it must also serve a necessary purpose. The only F-bomb in a song so far is in "Consume" and there it has no sexually derogatory meaning.
Pau, for her it's like walking while listening to the music you like on your headphones, developing with the tranquility, calm and confidence of knowing that you are a multi-award-winning and recognized musician and with the inner peace of recognizing, being very satisfied with it, that this is not another of your moments to shine. Ale, like her sister, develops with the tranquility, which gives her the years of practicing on her bass with jazz exercises, leaving in her performance her own already known "mark" of excellence. Dany... With this Dany shows us why she's the leading vocalist of this tremendous spectacular power-trio... and period!! The band continues to evolve exponentially according to its potential in a constant, unstoppable, inescapable virtuous circle... This is The warning!! ⚡ Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️ .
It's live on SiriusXM, which is a radio station. Since it is not a recording studio and live radio has no redo option and people walk through the corridors while a radio show is broadcast.
Congrats on 3K subs. They were awesome, Dany's vocals were great, Ale making that bassline look easy. Kind of a full circle moment also. The Warning opened for Foo Fighters shortly before Taylor Hawkins passed away. Taylor played drums for Alanis on the Jagged Little Pill album tour.
They recorded several of their own songs while they were there. I'm thinking for promotion. They're being played often on SiriusXM-Octane channel. HYCAD, Sick and just added More that I've heard so far. They're up for a Latin Grammy and will be performing on the Latin Grammy's I think this weekend.
Ok, as a THE WARNING fan, I have subscribed to your channel and I hope you keep reacting to them. I saw some Canadian reactors comment that they were the best act on their recent Canadian tour with HaleStorm and Evanescence even though they were the opening act. Another Canadian stated that he as well as a few others left after they played their set without waiting to see the rest of the concert. One had to move the next day, but some just went to see them.
It's a good thing SiriusXM is a radio type of organization - not a video medium. LOL. Yeah - they could have chosen better shots and blocked off the hallway, but they seem to have made do with what they had and fairly good footage is better than no footage, I guess. As for the part I care about - the music - the band CRUSHED this song.
The cover you didnt know you needed it.... The Warning have done that 3 times already with Enter Sandman, The Pretender and now with You Ought To Know.
This is a radio station who just happened to have a couple of cameras there to film the recording. True, the shots of Pau are poor, but this is all about the music. The music was impeccable.
I won't blame the producer for just accepting the awkward placement of the panel seams in the drummer's box. There aren't many angles to shoot from in that setup, and yes - it's a working office building; people are going to be walking around and doing things in the background. At least it's not completely transparent - although personally I'd use a "solid" wall rather than decorative frosted glass. But some interior designer was thinking it would be "fancy" to build out their guest studio that way, and oh well. It is what it is. Of course, none of this in the least detracts from the ladies rock-solid performance!!
You're right, although it doesn't damage the presentation of the song at all, I agree that whoever edited the video should have looked for another shot and not when that person is passing through the hallway behind the stage. On the other hand, the girls' presentation was Phenomenal. The power of Dany's voice fit perfectly into this song, and that clean and perfect sound of Ale's bass, I think it captivated us all. Pau as always impeccable!!
All i know is that next time i see a comment talking about, "She only plays the top string!" on a piece that only the top string is played on A COVER SONG, I'm going off! Ale was the bass master here!
