@@CarlD70 My immediate comment to the original video was “Okay Ale, I hear ya” because it is amazing. Tho she played the exact same notes as the original song, she did it with better tune IMO and very smooth. It was a reminder of the Jazz lessons she nailed while young. She is a beast as well.
This is a song that The Warning do justice to very well; they can do any genre, their versatility is just amazing! Dany’s vocals were sensational, her emotional performance and expressions are exemplary. Alé’s bass lines are a testimony to her enjoyment of practicing Jaco Pastorius’s work just for fun, it’s something that those who underestimate her know nothing about; there’s no doubt about her abilities! Pau, well what can’t you say about Pau - she can play anything Drum related with a passion that you very rarely see and hear - she was born a drummer! Great reaction, looking forward to the next one!
Ale and Pau are just chillin and grooving to the vibe because they know that big sister Dani has got this in the bag. You are not kidding when you say that Dani's vocals are killer in this. Thx.
There is a lot going on here. They REALLY thought this one through and made it theirs. From Dany's vocal range and inflection and grit to her tasteful guitar work, to Pau's tasteful restraint and brushwork, to her bombastic attack during the choruses, to Ale's jazzy foundation, it just COOKS. The dynamics really support the story. Just imagine Dany flying through the door of a fancy restaurant and singing this to her EX as he's in the middle of dinner with his latest conquest. That conquest would go flying out of there, hands in the air, yelling obscenities at them. It's an 11/10 for me.
I swear.. everything they touch turns to gold! It's funny, I didn't care much for this when it came out in the mid-90's, but like 5 years later I actually bought the 'Jagged Little Pill' CD and played the hell out of it!😂 I like how they retained the same key and the same tempo, but still managed to put that signature 'Warning' twist on it, that just sets them apart. Ale's tasty jazzy/funk bass riffs are fire, and of course Pau in the back with her Matrix sunglasses rockin' the "my future's so bright, I gotta wear shades" vibe!😎 Dany's guitar work and stellar vocals just take it to another level. I hope Alanis has seen/heard this by now, and gives them some props!😉🎵🎶
The new album " Keep me Fed" is brilliant. Try the official music video for SHARKS.. my new favorite.. or HELL YOU CALL A DREAM LIVE AT THE PEPSI CENTER CDMX 🌎✌️
Great Reaction, sub...d This performance, along with every Pepsi Center song, and all the "New videos" "All" Everyone of them Deserves A Grammy. And so much more!!!
They have a very fun song on the new album called Que Mas Quieres. The OMV was Pau's (the drummer) directorial debut as she co-directed it with Ivan. It is a very fun video and really conveys the song's message well,
This proves all three can deliver a world class performance without breaking a sweat. Ale even got to sit down. There's nothing lacking here. They just finished their busiest year to date at the Latin Grammies last night. Be sure to check them out again soon, they always impress.
Every few months it seems like Dany has been surprising us with her vocal performances! For a recent live performance, check out The Warning's Automatic Sun at the MTV EMAs - might need a filter since I think a lot of reactors are getting blocked; if that's too much trouble there are several other performances to pick from. Good to see you back!
You have the full Pepsi Center CDMX concert to look forward to, trust me that you won't be slipping again after starting that one! They have the full concert on their channel as well as each song individually and numbered if you want to react to them in order.
@@dherald1532 Without that anger and bitterness that Alanis put into this song, any covers of it are lame and more like pop rock that isn't meant to offend anyone.
@@kekwayblaze3176agreed. It wasn’t the singer I thought was better. There is something about the musicians… it’s not better, just different . It could be the Audio mixer too.
Hey Brother! The Warning always gives 110% and NEVER disappoints! Try ANY songs from their concert at the Pepsi Center CDMX that they released this year. Start with Disciple (their opening song) and go right on through. Nothing but fire, start to finish!
Steve, posting before your video is completely over, actually about half-way through. I've watched this performance about 10 times now...I'm loving YOUR reaction the best! Hey!! But check out the ENTIRE XM session The Warning did...there's about 6 songs in all. They are ALL great!!! Get ready to rock out!!
Always nice to see a pro react to The Warning, picking up on stuff which goes over my head, like Ale's baseline or Pau's not flashy but oh-so-sohisticated drum work. Though of course Dany, she's got a great voice - a bit of a growl to it - and she really convinced as a Woman Wronged; pure fury in that performance.
I think that this cover is perfect for The Warning because of the power of Dany's voice that easily reaches those high notes of Alanis, plus instrumentally they sound fantastic, that bass for God's sake how beautiful it sounds
Wow Wow Wow. Dany, Pau, Ali. Need I Say More??? Ok well Evolve MTV VMAs - Dust To Dust / Dull Knives. {Pepsi Center} I could name 50 + Songs because all of their Song are really good To fantasticly Incredible. No BS --- ❤ 💜 💙
As a drummer I think it would be fun if you took a time machine back to 2012 and reacted to "10 Year Old Girl Drummer- Paulina From Mexico - My Life Would Suck-Cobus Version"
Dany has the tone for this song, but I seriously doubt she has gone through any of things Alanis had dealt with when she wrote this song. It's a great cover by an emotive singer, but it's hard to get anywhere near Alanis, she lived all of her songs.
It’s like they time warped from the 80s or 90s to now! Is she singing without auto tune? I did not hear too many toss-offs or slides at the end of phrases, so without analysing the audio track I can’t be sure, but if she’s singing without any pitch correction then she’s as good as any of the best live bands from the 80s. Maybe rock ‘n’ roll is not quite dead?

How about Ale's phenomenal Jazz Bass riffs? Freaking out of this world Bass playing...shall we give Ale credit too now and then.

The Warning!!!
World class Mexican girls rock band ...

I believe that Ale jazzed Flea's bass line a little bit. After all, she actually plays bass not just duplicates.

Dany slaying the vocals and guitar, Alé just as cool as can be nailing the bass line, and Pau seamlessly switching between brush and stick.
