Hello I 'm Ugandan living in London UK and I've been listening to your experiences in Kampala and they're shocking but if you read about experiences of other travellers, you'll be amazed how positive and different it is. Here what we know about Nigerians here in London is different and the reputation of your people globally is very negative, even to Kenyans or Tanzanians because you can imagine what you have discussed is very exceptional it only happens to you!! Maybe you are not a good person, you complain alone about everything!! You eat fufu in Uganda and you complain, you should have gone to Acacia Mall to buy your tripod from Nigeria. In a nutshell I think it's very difficult to please you. From food, to people to culture, everything wasn't good for you don't go back!! That Country is so welcoming, beautiful, you need to move to see that, there're activities to engage in be friendly not to sit in one bed and breakfast, can't even afford a decent hotel and be unapologetically rude to the people of East Africa by your experiences around Kampala!! Ethiopians, Eritreans, Sudanese Kenyans, Europeans, Americans, Tanzanians the list is endless can't and won't agree with your review!! I watch videos about my Country Uganda on RUclips but you can agree with me, you will be seen as the worsed of the worse. You failed to be served FUFU and you castigate a people and Country like that!! Did you know that 94% of Nigerian people are poor despite the of the revenues from oil? Corruption, by the year 2030 Nigerian population will be 300 millions catching up with America with so little opportunities to offer to its people!! Polio has just been kicked out of your Country and that's how you achieved your mellinium goals!!? We in East Africa are united against negativity and we're Pan Africans if you know what I mean. Apart from oil which other resources do you have in your Country which makes you angry about the development of other countries in Africa?!! Uganda will get there and from another lens or spectacle others see what you don't . A pride a people about culture, language, education landscape, vegetation is what makes them unique. So madam as a fellow African that has been my review of your comments. Peace And One love for Africa.

Also fun loving. With an open mind and making use of local friends you'll manoeuvre well and enjoy yourself.

Ugandans are our neighbors and are very polite & honest people. If we say nigerians are crooks & scammers, as so many of them are in kenyan & ugandan prisons … & all over the world, would that be a fair representation of Nigeria? Mombasa & Nairobi are completely different, even in culture … so NBO does not represent Kenya, neither does Kampala represent all of Uganda. And if the food is an issue, then stick to where u come from … we will not change for you.

Have you noticed that Nigerians have nothing bad to say about Kenya? Every Nigerian RUclipsr is only talking possitive things about Kenya. So if someone comes with negative experience about Uganda, don't you think it's because it's true? Because there is no reason for Nigerians to like Kenyans and hate Ugandans just like that. So it's not about hatred or dislike. This is all about good or bad experiences. We love all Africans but we must present facts as they are. For those doing good, to continue their goodness. For those doing poorly, to improve.

If you went as some like an expatriate, then it´s difficult because you are forced to stay and you would have had to adjust and perhaps also complain. But a tourist should not complain about not finding your food, since you went to see new things.

Yes, Uganda just like every country, is unique in its own way but still lacks the common thread that ties modern trends from its neighbors or global influences.
The folks there are undoubtedly hospitable but lack that commercial acumen to mainstream that hospitality in their businesses.
The gun prominence is based on their militaristic background where peace and order was through guns by different factions. Although much safer now, guns are the tools of peace still.
I bet as Africa opens up, progresses and as we learn from one another, the culture shocks will mellow down although old habits die hard?
