If your good enough to use it only as a reference, your good enough to have it off, its just faster to leave it on. (Is what your saying from my reference)
"Breaking" line is APEX line, as explained in the Forza Motorsport 1 Prima Guide Book. It is the point where the centripetal energy is broken. Because of this We lost control of the car after it passes the infamous red line.
First, I am really enjoying these tips and tricks,. I did have one question with this particular video though. Could one not argue that how religiously the braking and racing line is followed is very dependent on tune set up and handling and braking of each individual's car? Again, I am learning a lot from these videos, but I thought I bring up that question.
+Andrew Roberts Yes it does depend but the same spots will generally produce the same results. The brake line does adjust to your car but that also means if it lies somewhere, it'll lie with almost any car you use as long as you're on the limits of the car. If I run a speed car as fast as I can go around Nurb, it'll lie more than a grip car would since the game is even more confused.
+Raceboy77 good to know. I completely forgot I was signed into my other RUclips account. I'm saxyseminole on twitch. Many of your tips have helped improve my driving even though I am mainly racing with a wheel. the only one the tips didn't cross over on was shifting. I'm trying to get it to work, but hard to work three pedals at once lol.
My question is, is how are people turning so smoothly? I feel like I have to Tap the analog stick just to have a smooth turn unless I want to hard turn. Makes it pretty hard to turn smoothly.
Adjust your steering deadzones, gives you much better control when taking a turn because you can put in the most precise input with a controller. Id also reccomend adjusting your braking, acceleration and deceleration deadzones as well. Allows for more precise input with your triggers.
it took me until seriously maybe 2-3 months ago to figure out just how terrible the ABS actually is in this game. I randomly decided to turn it off one day and haven't gone back. not over-shooting every single corner is really, really nice.
For me forza 6 was my first forza and thst was when i was a slight noob but i have got alot better over the last 2 years and think I pretty good at it now
only manual with clutch gives you control over the clutch, manual alone does not. you can tap the clutch near the mid-top of a few gears to raise the rpms to get into the powerband quicker. too soon and it will stutter, too late and it wont matter
I wish it at least told you whos using braking line in the loby. I find its a noob thing to do as there is no skill involved and one is just focused on the line not the track
One thing maybe worth mentioning: I usually turn off TCS and STM, but I find it next to impossible to race in the rain with a RWD car and TCS off. I'd imagine part of that is that I'm still learning, but I'd imagine the same would hole true for other novice players, and perhaps even those with more experience.
I've come across the problem of certain cars stalling off the line when using manual with clutch, one of the Audi race cars in particular. Can you further describe how you overcome this?
With the braking, i like to have abs on, but then lower the brake pressure in the tuning setting so that it doesnt slide as much to about 80% is that a good idea?
+Harry Page If you have to run with ABS, that's probably the best way to do it yeah. I'd suggest trying without. Check out my braking video and try and learn :).
+iWeeGouldyi Also using a line makes the game so easy, it was made for beginners. So whoever the guy is you mentioned wouldn't be as good without his warning of when to brake instead of using his own mind to decide...
Schumacher is one of the faster guys in higher classes, if you don't know his name then there's no point making an argument attempting to know better than those who are fast. Many people at the top can run without brake line but it's quicker to get up to speed with it.
You can use braking line, but don't use it as a tell-all of when you should brake. Use it as a reference point instead.
If your good enough to use it only as a reference, your good enough to have it off, its just faster to leave it on. (Is what your saying from my reference)
I studied these videos hard a year ago its cool coming back and still picking up things i missed
"Breaking" line is APEX line, as explained in the Forza Motorsport 1 Prima Guide Book. It is the point where the centripetal energy is broken. Because of this We lost control of the car after it passes the infamous red line.
I use breaking line just as a rough reference for tracks I am not 100% familiar with
i hate the braking line, never used it in any forza it just puts me of and i just end up looking at the line rather then the corner.

@3:39 "Swap your A button to your clutch using the handbrake and _butt shifting_" Kappa
Excellent instructional videos thanks for taking the time raceboy77

Xbox elite controller trigger lock

I think of the breaking line is a sort of warning to be careful. When it's TRUELY RED then you need to hit the brakes

16:55 'Breaking' a sweat ;D
Thanks for the reply. I will give these a try thanks. Love your videos
what a lovely paint that is :D
Good guide!

I go to controller then hit x I can't find driving line or assisted braking in for a 6
Great videos, been running around...well compared to your speeds walking around forza since 2005 used a lot of your tunes in F6.
Case H Thanks!

Thats mostlt not your fault the handling in rain in this game is shit
Could you do the best dead zone settings?
+James latimer There isn't a 'best' it's basically preference. Here's mine: tinyurl.com/RBsFMDeadzones .
I've come across the problem of certain cars stalling off the line when using manual with clutch, one of the Audi race cars in particular. Can you further describe how you overcome this?
+spinedctr Just keep pressing the clutch button as you're launching until you've got some momentum going.
How do you even get to the assets page

Also, I found out some servers are Sim damage only.
How do you get to assists
Devin Dunstatter lots of ways. Easiest in the menus is to go to free play then assists.
you ever use forza tune 6?
How do you turn in off
Wow, didnt know how much time abs was costing me. Now that im getting back into these games i might get competitive again 😅
In the new FM, ABS is not as much of an issue. I still prefer no ABS though!
can u only be fast if u use third person because I like 2 use 1st person
Nope, view is just preference.
Yes that's a relief
Isn't sim steering mainly for wheels.
And manual with clutch for cars that don't have a flappy paddle gear box.
Not sure
+Patrick Nolan All this info is in the video.
Welp thanks so the tips know I need to look where that is
I use ABS because I'm use to it
Simulation steering is basically just like driving on project cars
Yeah, the braking line is a ruse, (lie) it can throw off even the most puring of purists. TCS on Rear wheel drive, Yes. TCS on 4WD, No.
your cars aren't homologated?
killuminatl this is FM6
Raceboy77 fuk
IMO, the braking line lies the worst on Bernese Alps.
wolftickets1969 I think it's the worst on Nurburgring.
You guys should really just play Forza Horizon, there you will get a feel of how to get everywhere really fast XDDD
First! Finally lol
Anyone that uses a braking line shouldn't be giving tips
Kinda wrong. STI Schumacher, who is one of if not the fastest X class players in the game and he uses braking line....
+iWeeGouldyi Yeah it might prevent mistakes on corners but it's a cheat
+iWeeGouldyi Also using a line makes the game so easy, it was made for beginners. So whoever the guy is you mentioned wouldn't be as good without his warning of when to brake instead of using his own mind to decide...
+iWeeGouldyi I just looked up the name and nothing popped up lmao is that kid on your friends list and beat you in a race so you think he's good? haha

How do you get to assist
