I was so sad that you finished Ted Lasso, but I'm so glad you have so much of The Office left to go. It's like watching it for the first time all over again. Love you guys!
Trivia: Melora Hardin (Jan) was the first actress to play Marty McFlys girlfriend in “Back to the Future.” At the time Eric Stoltz was cast as Marty. After Stoltz was fired they hired Michael J. Fox but Hardin was significantly taller then Fox so she had to be replaced.
Now it makes sense... Stoltz was fired. That's why he turned to dealing heroine from his house in the LA area (Pulp Fiction)😉😅 But seriously, thanks for the trivia. I had no idea Stoltz was supposed to play the part of Marty.
michael j fox was always the first choice for that role, but he had to initially turn the role down due to scheduling conflicts.... but he was able to wrap those commitments up and join the cast.... you can still find shots of eric stolz as marty mcfly on the interwebs...
My sister and I live together and are always on the same cycle 😂 it sometimes is literally to the day. So yeah, it’s a real thing.. but it takes time, not in like 5 mins like Dwight thinks 😆🤭
@Avalee325 Nah, not trying to mansplain, but they've done studies and found no real evidence. It's most likely confirmation bias and the fact that different cycle lengths will eventually land around the same time.
Baseball sexual metaphors are very common in America and show up in a lot of American media so I was kind of curious if you guys had already come across it before.
The warehouse workers replacing the carpet is probably because they had the tools required for the job. Plus, they could get it done on such short notice, and Michael could tell them to do it. The office staff aren't the most capable bunch either:)
Keep in mind that in America, there's always a little line after the "job description" that says, "...or anywhere else the management determines that help is needed."
I would love to see y’all react to Jury Duty. It’s a show a lot like the office except there’s 1 guy who doesn’t know the whole thing is a comedy show and thinks he’s really at Jury Duty. It’s hilarious
Not a myth--women's cycles sync when they are around each other a lot. My close friends and I synced cycles in high school because we hung out a lot. Women who work together and are around each other a lot will likely sync up. Birth control may impact the syncing, but the syncing is real.
I needed this video after watching 5 minutes of whatever the Australia Office was trying to be. Please never react to that, but Utopia could be a great show for you guys when you are finished with this.
In studies, the period syncing thing has been pretty universally unsupported, but it's such a common myth that, combined with confirmation bias, a great many women swear period thinking is a thing. I don't argue with other women about it (and I certainly don't recommend men try) because it doesn't, or at least shouldn't, matter in any practical way who is on which cycle.
My sis and I are always on the same cycle. Pretty sure it’s been studied and proven. Any doctor would tell you it’s not a myth. Might not happen to everyone, but it does happen.
Unions are a very much dividing issue here in North America. Everybody is in favor of better working conditions, better pay, and all that. But unions tend to want just as much, if not more pay that top executives of a company. The less money the company makes, the less money for improvement of working conditions. Same with having more money to employ new workers. Here in the US, I do believe we need paid vacation time, and paid paternity leave. I will agree with that. It's a very delicate game of yin-yang in the corporate world.
It actually looks to originate from a study in the 1970s by a Martha McClintock. I mean she could have had "internalized misogyny" I guess, but it sounds like she was more trying to look for biological explanations for human behaviors and patterns. So she was interested in notions like pheromones. However it does look to have been debunked and her study turned out to be statistically flawed among other issues. (Many notions on human pheromones have turned out to be bogus. The only one I recall having some validity is that gay men respond to the smell of male sweat, even if they don't know that's what it is, differently than straight men do. But it's not like even that makes the gay men do anything or react in some mesmerized way.)
Yes it's true about menstrual cycles syncing among women living together. There is a name for it based on the name of the university/college where the phenomenon was first studied (I forget the name😢). The more interesting question is why? What is the evolutionary advantage of this? And does it benefit the males or the females of the clan (from an evolutionary viewpoint)?
It’s a myth that women start syncing up cycles if they’re around each other. When I used to menstruate (I’m on Testosterone for gender dysphoria) my mother, my sister and I had completely different cycles.
Later on, we’ll find out how much more money Michael actually makes than Darryl. Hint: Michael will threaten to withhold s€x from Jan in order to get a raise. 😂

As a warehouse manager, Michael on the lift is a nightmare.

What a lame reason to let someone go, too tall since we hired a shorter actor.

The actor playing Toby is a writer on the show. He would take himself off the board to manage that side of it. He did it in Booze Cruise too.
