i love how erin came into the show so late but fit so well. doesn’t really happen often.

It’s honestly easy to forget she wasn’t there from the beginning. Such a perfect character addition.
Ellie kemper did soooo well with her role. Such a unique character type that she pulls off perfectly
cause the place is full of weirdos lol. ofc someone like her would fit in (as someone who personally relates to erin, & many of the office characters for that matter, i mean this in the most positive way)
@@puppycatsbee i understand what you’re saying, but the office characters although “weird” have grown on everyone watching the show. erin joined in after a few entire seasons, so if she didn’t fit in it would be pretty noticable, whether she was normal or not. she’s just a really good character and is played really well by the actress.

Erin was one of the few things that made the later seasons worth watching
Definitely. I stopped watching in season 8 when it originally aired. Came back for the finale though. Right now I'm going all the way through the whole thing, and I remember why I stopped watching. I've pushed through it this time, but Erin stood out above probably every other character. It's kind of a shame we got so little Michael-Erin time.
Right?! Michael and Erin together were great! Their relationship worked so well because Erin’s personality already worked great with Michael and on top of that, she sees him as a father figure and that adds a lot of heart and meaning to their relationship.
You might be right but I can’t bring myself to watch any of them.
I stop watching the office at the end of season 7 with the introduction of the super annoying Will Farrell.
That actor is the definition of unfunny cringe despite a few good hits like Anchorman and Blades of Glory.
Series should have ended with Michael Scott as everyone says.
@@KevinOnEarth_ Definitely. I actually find it a bit tough to handle anything beyond season 5 in all honesty. The "jump the shark" moment for me is Jim & Pam's wedding. There's a severe quality dip after that. And it definitely falls off a cliff when Michael leaves.
@@kastielangel. i absolutely love the first seasons. 1 through 3 is some of the finest tv to have ever been made. I'd still call it one of my favorite shows. It just rapidly deteriorates after S5 for me.

Usually people tend to Michael's needs because they're being polite but Erin is in her own entire world, therefore completely defusing Michael's whole show. That's why he seems like that at first, but that's also why it opens the possibilty for him to actually open up and show the man behind the act with her

I love how she rates Holly’s ears as different numbers. Brilliant writing, and Ellie was a brilliant addition to the cast during one of the best story arcs ever, the Michael Scott Paper Company.

When Erin was first introduced, I didn't like her a ton. But by the end she was one of my favorites. The little smirk she gives after saying "really? Because your mother is dead" is too good

Erin's character is both written and acted so well. It's rare to have a character introduced so late be so popular. There's just something so perfect about Erins introduction and character in general.
Erin was actually conceived as a disposable character but the actor (Ellie Kemper) built on it so well she became a main cast. Rarely happens

I love how Jim and Pam basically share their thoughts on babysitting from the male and female perspective.

The scene in season 9 where she was reunited with her birth parents made me cry, hard. I feel both Erin and myself are neurodivergent, but she had a home to return to. Myself, I have to put on a mask with my own family, I can never go home again.

There are other two great moments of Erin: her first halloween costume is a zombie mask and her usual clothing and the other one is her reaction when Dwight becomes manager, she celebrates a lot, she was very happy for him!

I really don’t know how to describe Erin. I guess in a nutshell she is a child inside the body of an adult. That’s the best description I could give her character, and that’s why she’s one of my favorite characters in The Office.
