Currently using the RODE lav mics with it. I think they are £50 on amazon. Really like the set up tbf I've got quite a few lavs at various price points ranging from £1000s down to this and it's the system I've been using for the past few months. Really like it.
Mix of both. I use the built in mic and a rode lav, both work fine, though obviously the box has to be closer to the source when using the built in mic.
@@DanielDebenham oh yes I definitely will like having the box hidden, my question is, did your kit include 2 lav or did you use your own rode lav? I saw a combo that had extra lav and I wonder if the quality is just as good but maybe ill give it a try

@pauldittus it obviously does sound as good but for RUclips and corporate film making it's more than enough. Yeah I like it. 👍

@@DanielDebenham interesting, I have a rode lav go and I wonder if it improves the overall experience or they sound similar
I've found them to be similar in sound, but adding a Lav improves usability as the box can be hidden.

No my kit didn't include lav mics.
