10 years ago my grandparents had the " top of the line " internet for the area at 30mbps. Today in 2021 I have 1gbps fiber optic. At the rate speeds are increasing we should have 10gbps by 2030 hopefully for the average consumer

You're thinking megaBITS, which is less than one Megabyte / sec. 6.6 Megabytes per second is pretty good even today, especially when you consider a some people out in the middle of nowhere still have to use Satellite and get literally 56K dialup speeds.

Let me tell you something it is not the average INTERNET or WORLD WIDE WEB that we use in our homes it's the network that NASA uses to transfer data to other science related companies and their speed is not 91 Gigabyte instead it is 91 GIGABIT. In 2013 NASA issued an article the they were experimenting to transfer data at high speed and they managed to do it. That's the real story behind it.

You're still limited by the internet itself and other servers. GTA5 won't download much faster than for an average person.
