A Photographer as a Portrait Subject

I spent some time as a portrait subject because I needed some new photos. It's an interesting change of position when you move from one side of the camera to another, and I recommend this for any portrait photographer to try from time to time.
I'll share my thoughts before the shoot, some lessons I learned during the session, and some common mistakes you may want to avoid when you get in front of someone else's camera.
