263k on my 05 ram with the 4.7L. Still runs like a champ. Added dual exhaust to it shortly after I got it. Sounds just as good as a hemi.
I just bought an 02 with 86k miles on it...
I have an 04 ram with a 4.7L and it has 235k and still runs good
@@ObxBum79 2003 Dodge ram 4.7 322k miles
To anyone wondering, I actually have a 03 4.7 straight piped with no cats or mufflers or resonators, dual exhaust and trust me my truck claps going 5 mph 😂 it screams when getting on the gas too
Awesome 😊
Deaf at 40 😊. Had the slowest truck I’ve ever seen slam the gas one time I had my window down. Didn’t even sounds good, just crackled like the tiny firecrackers you’d get with Chinese lettering on them.
Lol all loud and no go
@@nocatschrysler well it's my first truck with a exhaust set up I've always wanted to try. Now that being said, would I do it to a 2013 dodge ram, heck no but this truck is a old truck so it doesn't bother me
My 04 1500 with no cats, resonator, and chopped muffler, sounds like a detroit diesel with the jake brakes going 40 mph
Sounds really growly and deep at the same time 💪
Thats what a Magnum does deep and low. You cant hear the lope from the traffic and the constant revs, but they have a low chugging lope Everyone forgot that with the flood of 5.7L/345ci "Hemis" that a V8 doesn't have to be raspy and 120dB to sound good.
I had a dodge dakota with a 4.7 in it. Sounds just as good as a hemi. Magnums were dodges vortec. 👍🏽👍🏽
The 4.7 sounds nowhere near as good as the Hemi. Dont you ever lie like that again.
And then there was one. Next!
@@Outlaw7207sounds way better with headers on it
@@clayboy699 Hemis definetly sound better with headers 👍 have 2 5.7's, one 1 7/8 long tubes, other 2 inch mains wirh a supercharger
Seeing a 4.7 with over 200k miles not smoking when you start it is insane mine has 196k and smokes like a mf😂anyhow this sounds amazing
Mine has 317k but does smoke LMAO it has the 4.7 and straight pipe no cats or mufflers
@@HemiLyfestyle damn that’s amazing! Does yours burn oil or not? The 4.7s are known to burn oil and as an owner of one I can relate to that 😂
@@layovalenzuela-ramos9636 oh yeah she burns oil and my dipstick don't work 😂 so I keep it topped off, she drives amazing, plus I have a extra engine and transmission for it
@@HemiLyfestyle awesome I just got a new engine block for it just sitting in my garage mine smokes so much it somehow sounds quiet though 😂but aye let’s get it I love talking to 4.7 owners bc we can relate on everything
@@layovalenzuela-ramos9636 hell yeah bro, if it wasn't for my Hispanic homie Jose I wouldn't know how to work on cars. I thank him for teaching how to work on cars when I was 18. I'm now 31 and just about to change everything on cars and trucks
"Hemi, Hemi, Hemi baby"
Sounds good man I love it. 💪🏾
Why replace your jacked up rear bumper when you can replace your exhaust instead…
😂😂
For the same reason people spend $3000 on rims on their Grandmother's $1200 Buick.
cuz it’s a bumper, meant for bumping. needs to have some battle scars. mine has quiet a few😂
Nagging wife style comment, change the panties for some boxers maybe.
I have a true dual exhaust with x pipe and black widow neighbor haters into 2 4” dual tips on my same engine truck
Sounds great!
It sounds pretty good!
As fun as it is to hate on the 4.7 for being unreliable and underpowered, they do sound very good.
I didn’t realize the 4.7 engine was a magnum.
I did a muffler delete on my 04 Dodge Dakota V8 Magnum slt sounds amazing but I think I'm gonna drive to y'all to put on this flow master 40
Nice
Nice sound on the takeoff but he didn’t get on it
It’s got over 236k miles!!!
@@FoxtrotYanky for a 2002 vehicle, those are really low numbers, but for a ram its really rare
@@juaquiqui-kun4333 I agree. The early 2000’s version of the V8 engines of today are way better in terms of longevity. All of this AFM/DOD shit and fuel saver shit just ruins the purpose of a V8. It also makes it prone to premature failure. None of the newer engines will make it to 200,000 miles without needing major expensive repairs. If one manages to then it’s a miracle and it’s hanging on by a thread. That 4.7L will go a long way if the timing chains are replaced at the correct time.
Homie this truck had a motor noise on startup I ended up getting rid of it not too long after this video was taken this vid is old lol
What happened to the other guy who talks
It sounds like its the same person. Im guessing he wasn't feeling it this video lol
Everybody needs a day off sometime 🤷🏾♂️
It’s his son in this video.
Its a different guy. The OG dude was in a few vids back with the drag truck
Is x pipe louder then straight pipe?
Not alone but straight pipe with an x pipe is insane
2000 Dodge Dakota 4.7. Single cat. Whant to put 3" exhaust from the cat back. It will have a Flowmaster FX 3" to the axel. Will that create a code? One exhaust company said yes. Another said no. What's up?
Shouldn’t
What size pipe is is from manifold to the rear or if I wanted to replace muffler what size inlet do I need 2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7
21/2 mid to 21/4 tailpipes
@@exhaustaddicts awesome thanks
Sounds like allergies is kicking your a** too
Different guy
First
Sounds horrible. Like a boat motor. Very gurgly
