@@derekcrankshaft4528 If you are reaching with the same side as your lead leg you leave yourself open to attacks- if you slow the video down look how close his leg is to his opponent when he reaches Specifically 1:51 he reaches with his right arm leaving that lead right leg just begging to be attacked. The opponent can shoot under the hand he is reaching with and has a good chance of catching that same lead leg. In general when you reach (or POST) you want to do it with the arm opposite your lead leg (in the case of this video his left arm since he is leading with his right). This allows you to have the arm by your lead leg for defense and means they have a lot further to travel if the opponent tries to shoot under while you reach. I hope this helps, its a bit lengthy but best I can explain. Keep in mind this is a VERY basic video though and just goes over some basic concepts.
