Thank you for making and posting this. When you drag the volume line on a track, using SHIFT will let you adjust it on a finer level. When mixing several voices and instruments, the adjustment you get without the shift key is often too coarse.
I followed along setting every step as shown but @ 16:10 'Klick in key fram Symbol' in track head 'IT DOES NOT TURN RED" What might I have Misses. The Track is a 5.1 Surround track Where I'd like to raise the Volum of some areas. BTW I can't set Key Frames either in the 5.1 Track.
Excellent video as always . Slightly off topic question Jay , I need to create an explosion effect .Im guessing a video overlay with an alpha channel is the way to go . Can you suggest a VFX pack for Davinci resolve I could buy that would do the trick . Hopefully not a subscription based system .I just want a variety of explosion effects to put in my library . Does that exist or am I out to lunch on this one .
It doesn’t have full-blown midi, but you can use a midi keyboard to record virtual instruments. You can technically record your full score in the Fairlight page. So I actually do think DAW is the right term. That being said, Fairlight is usually approached from the perspective of an editor, so I understand the argument.

Great step-by-step on all the options. This will save me so much time, but most importantly, deliver better quality and consistent results!
Thank you, trying to get Davinci figured out and this helped me a lot

Can the "daw" Fairlight page pause on a microphone recording or just stop.. ?
If I remember correctly you can actually do both.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing

Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks !!
Without MIDI, or at the least Ableton Link, I personally wouldn't consider it a DAW. Maybe a digital audio editor?
