Totally agree with you. I don't like jumpers/sweaters with logos or writing on them either, so if it was me, that would go back as well - even if it was the best thing there! x

Totally agree with you Caroline. I have actually never worn a hoodie. I don't think I'll be starting anytime soon! LOL. I would never normally wear anything with a logo on the front. BUT... I really quite liked the NYC top. I think you looked great in it. Have a lovely weekend. 😊

Wonderful to see some long trousers for us tall girls! I’m 5’9” and I suspect they’d still be flapping around my ankles!! Being tall is quite limiting when clothes shopping, it’s better these days than it used to be but still most clothes are for ‘average’ size women!

I liked the first hoodie dress on you. I agree with what you feel about the other items. If you don’t feel good in them don’t buy them. You know your body better than anyone.xx

I know the crop tan trousers aren’t quite right but it’s a very flattering length and leg wide suited you. Love your vids x

I generally like Asda and feel it’s good value for money. I like the underwear and the jumpers/sweartshirts. Last year I got a lovely pair of wide-legged pleather trousers which are as good as the M&S ones!

Totally agree Caroline with your opinions of the items. I never have much luck with sizing at Asda I find the bottoms (trousers etc) are not very generous at all and the length is about 1-2feet too long….I’m 5ft 1”. Love watching your try ons as you give me ideas outside my comfort zone.

Morning Caroline. What a shame! You must feel very disappointed after so much work arranging and then have to to return almost everything. Wondered what you decided about the NYC jumper. I like the idea in view of your trip there, but I felt that I had seen similar but better examples. Look forward to the next and more successful haul. Thank you for taking the time to do this one.

Morning Caroline, bet you are getting excited for your holibob. I'm just back from visiting my daughter and grandbabies in Australia ❤. I totally agree with you about the NYC jumper and a pair of jeans 👍, just a shame about all the other things. X

Morning Caroline. Totally agree with you. I'm not keen on logo tops. I do wear hoodies but they sometimes do annoy me. I don't have much luck with asda george these days. NYC jumper is nice but not keen on the neckline which most jumpers have. Thank you for sharing xx

I never see the point of a “hoodie”. Just an extra untidy flap of fabric which serves no real purpose, and is impossible to wear with a coat or jacket over it in colder weather. Another thing I don’t like are so many skirts in the shops these days with splits up the front - looks OK when you are standing, but how do they look when you sit down, a bit too revealing probably? Yes a disappointing haul this time.

I have found the same problem with trousers of late (and I am 5'6") and end up having them shortened by a local seamstress. But this then bumps up the cost of what you might initially think was a good price. Xxx

Every pair of Asda trousers I have bought recently has been made for a 7’ tall person - ridiculous! But Wonder Web is wonderful if you like the trousers enough to shorten them.

Hi love your haul videos. Asda is hit or miss but if you are a seamstress or you know one get the checked trousers cut to the length of the camel ones. They looked fab on the leg and they would be great as crops. I’m same height as you and I think a lot of people will find them too long so I am going to look out for them selling at a fiver a pair in the sale when they get masses of stock left and I’ll cut the shorter!

Morning Caroline , apart from skirt and dress at the end I liked everything else on you , in fact more than other things I've seen you in before . I have generally had a good experience with Asda and never sent anything back . Trouser lengths are weird , I got 2 from Next the other day ,both too long and I'm nearly 5' 8" so think it's a general problem . Have a good day , thanks for the haul x

I think woodies can be very bulky under a coat I liked the jumper on you with jeans or leggings the last dress was nice but I think you cld size down it did look like it was too big for you .
Thank you for sharing this one Caroline even tho you were disappointed with it .❤

  • @elizabethbrown6287
    @elizabethbrown6287 День назад

Hi Caroline! I actually liked this haul but I do agree that not all of the items were the best on you. Of all the supermarket brands I actually like George best because I find it the least frumpy and a bit more trend driven than Tu or F&F. (They currently have a collab with Roksanda which is really edgy and different.) The length of their trousers often attracts comments in the product reviews, but for me at 5'8" they are perfect because I generally have the opposite problem. I suppose you can shorten trousers if they're too long, but I have lost count of the number of times I've sent them back because they are flapping round my ankles! 😕🙄 Anyway, thank you for showing us. It was good to see the wide leg checked trousers which I have been humming and haaing about - this has made my mind up. Xx

Like you, I’m not a fan of the hoodie jumper. I just feel it’s all too much around my neck. Saying that I have to say I really quite liked this one with the short leggings and flats. Just looked cosy comfy and I thought it looked good on you!

Yep….have to agree…all a bit disappointing but I have found that George just hasn’t matched my desires this year at all. Brilliant last year! I am tearing my hair out over trousers lengths wherever I shop, online or otherwise. Better stop….I am sounding grumpy!xx Liz

Hi l like Asda but you have to be choosy what you try.l agree the trousers in there are a ridiculous length.l end up getting them turned up.l too have a tummy and l find flat fronted trousers without side pockets that pull and gap fit us much better as do skirts that are flat fronted too and not clingy.l think logo jumpers are not a good look. The dress was a not good either.Better luck next time with your choices.

I liked the skirt from the back which was flattering in that view, but at the front it would show too much when you sat down, shame as the style looked nice when you held it up. The dress was nice until I saw the way the waist was going a bit wonky, ( it wasn't your fault it was the badly designed waist) it would have been nice otherwise. The long, long trousers tee hee!😂 oh dear! You are such a good sport, why oh why do they ruin material like this. Asda used to be quite good. I like Sainsbury's Tu range. Thank you Caroline, at least you tried.

I’m sick of online bad labelling. Finding extra short 26 is impossible and I am a 24 to 25 inch so even petite are big it’s my soap box rants what petite is 31 inches.
I love hoodies but it’s the cut that makes or breaks them.
I love band t shirts but I have to have a connection to the band.
Most of the items had hanger appeal not body appeal.
I bought a dress purple leopard from Asda the other day just hit in all the wrong places. I’m in most stuff 12/14 now and I’d have needed an 18.
Caroline are you a true petite I’m long body short arms and legs so they don’t make tops that are long bodied so stuff like peplum that I love is out now and they don’t list sizes.
I’m off to long tall sally for tops and midi dresses and I’ll have to tailor the arms.
    Have a great holiday

Since the disappearance of George Davies (Next etc).....the name behind George, the style, the quality and the "capsule" dressing has diminished.....its very sad to see, the fabrics are pretty poor, the sizes are wildly inaccurate, from trousers to Jean's, the length of trousers can be hilarious, giant sized.....
The new owners, have struggled, maybe Asda can turn a corner with new management structure, they are struggling.....kids clothes are brilliant for design and price.....adults, not so......your haul, for me, was just, meh.....nothing inspiring....its a shame....Wheres George when you need him?????
