Love the backgrounds not a fan of the bulky embellishments. I am going to cut myself a diamond stencil from a plastic folder. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi. The tip about colouring white items to make matching components for cards is brilliant, especially doing larger amounts for bulk card making, so that all the needed elements are done and ready for use. I bought some metal leaves from Ali express ages ago that I didn't get round to using as I forgot where I put them! These are lovely, unusual cards that are so stylish. My thanks to you for sharing these beauties.
I love the book page with gesso idea. Your backgrounds are lovely and I like the strong and paler options, depending on the situation the card is needed for. TFS as always xx
I really love to see multimedia done, and it always looks better from the artist than what I make.. But I love watching the way your mind works. you are so crafty and art minded.
Sasha, let that Archival ink dry. These are the only inks I use (besides the Oxide & Distress). I like them because they DO dry slower and because of this you can emboss with them as well. But they are stable after they get time to dry. Have fun with them. You are a very talented card artist. Some of your ideas are wonderful. Thanks again for sharing with all of us.
What a fun idea, I love the words peeking through. A suggestion- laminate a few sheets of plain copy paper for ink smooshing, gluing, painting surfaces. It’s much easier than the top of your platform and just wipes clean with a spray of water and a micro fibre cloth. Excellent for using glue sticks or stenciling paste too.
Great cards. Love them all. Such a great idea to dye embellishments to match the colours you are using and love the book pages idea. Thanks for showing. x
I really like the use of the old book pages with gesso. I tend to do more scrapbook layouts than cards and this has given me an idea for a layout!! Thanks for sharing your techniques….your cards are beautiful!!
Hello lovely Sasha, I've been watching your old cardstock haul video and you mentioned the white cardstock is like neena solar and you said good for stamping but wondered how good it is for alcohol markers thanks for your time and keep up the amazing work, you are awesome xx
It really depends on my mood, Sasha, sometimes I love bright and bold, other times pastels. Gotta say though, I love ALL of the cards you have made today. My mind is buzzing with other ways that I can use these bookpages. I really love them.
Hi Sasha. I absolutely love these mixed media cards. I need to be more bold in my card making. You did a fantastic job as always. TFS. Looking forward to seeing your weekend video. 💜💙💖
I think ive been getting more and more comfortable with the whole mixed media craft, however, i make a MUCH bigger mess when i do it so i think i'll take a break and do some normal ones haha
Hi Sasha. Awesome cards! I can't really choose a favorite type of background, I like all kinds. It just depends on what mood I'm in, and what the occasion is for the card. I never really gave too much thought though to dying my ribbon, & flowers and such to match everything. Thank you for that great tip. 😀 Lots of Love & Crafty Hugs. 🤗 Have a Blessed Day My Friend.
Wow! Such great techniques! I've never felt right about destroying books, but you've got me thinking again 😃 I worry about using them on cards to sell, however. Where would we stand with copyright etc? Ie recently bought pixie powders and never thought about using them to dye things so I'll be giving that a go as well. My favourite style is shabby chic but I'm slowly getting used to other styles. I tend to go for the more muted colours than bright, heavy ones. Thanks so much for sharing these great ideas x
Copyright is not a problem for this kind of use - I can promise you! It could be different for taking an original artwork, but using a few lines or a page of a book is not the same.
Love these. Like the use of pages. Couldn't you use watered down white acrylic paint ? I don't have any powders like you used. THANKS FOR SHARING. Enjoyed this.
WOW! LOVED this..even better than I had expected from the title (I love all your videos!!)!! Does anyone know what can be gotten that is close to the Pretty Gets Gritty powders (& particularly the explosion powders 😍 shown in other videos) that will ship in the US?
This is a great idea, thank you for sharing. This Alley Express is it USA base? I have tried sites (new to me) and turns out there are hidden charges, etc., only found after into the checkout, and unable to back out of it. Thank you for your time.
Ali Express is in China, It's sort of like the chinese version of Amazon. Loads of different stores under one site. There are no hidden charges other than your countries tax which is added on at check out. So in the UK we get an extra 20% tacked on at the end, boooooo :( but that is what our tax is in this country
Okay, thank you. Sounds like ordering from within ones own country, tax & shipping cost, vat cost is an unwanted end surprise, can be huge. I will then see about trying them out.
Love the backgrounds not a fan of the bulky embellishments. I am going to cut myself a diamond stencil from a plastic folder. Thanks for the inspiration.
TFS. I'm a less is more type and I love the backgrounds without the embellishments. Gorgeous.
I love reusing old things. These are beautiful.
I enjoyed seeing you dye the embellishments to match! Wonderful!
I like the mixed media look. Your choice of colors is just perfect for me.

Lovely, tfs
I have mica powders, would they work? Love your results XX 🥰🌈💖
It is always nice to try things out isn’t it? My experience with archival ink is that they stain my clear stamps and that bothers me, 😅😅😅 bye.
I wasn’t as fond of the really busy look, but I did really like all your cards

You know, I like a little of all of it. I guess I am just an eclectic person. It's all good and mistakes make awesome opportunities.
I like the background but the embellishments would be a problem to send through the post!
I did not care for the final cards. The backgrounds were too busy. Mostly I love what you create. But this isn’t my favorite.
