Yeah, this seems like by far the best option. I am using the RAD2X with an RGB modded N64, and it's great. However, I think using the RAD2X with an RGB capable Snes will give you an even bigger improvement in quality over using composite or S-video than it will with an RGB modded N64, perhaps because the composite and S-video output signal quality is better on the N64. Maybe the older models of the Snes with worse video quality would be more worth HDMI modifying? I really don't know.
8:27 hi, im having the problem with the hdmi coverter, my usb port doesnt recognise any signal, when i switch to hdmi 3 arc, i only get a black picture, what could it be?
Fun fact, it's a gamble if they work wir the snes model 1o1 super nintendo, the one I bought doesn't work on it but will work on the og snes 100 (the one with eject button )
The last one is what I bought, and it doesn't work with my super nintendo, for its not compatible with Snes model 101, wich alot aren't ive learn from research only works with og snes model 100
Great video my friend, congratulations! I'm looking at several cables for my SNES, I think I'll buy the levelhike, I don't have enough money to buy the retrotink one and it seemed perfect when I saw your review. I have a question. You have noticed a lot of lag playing or it can be played perfectly?
There’s also a product from Kaico as well as the Rad2x which both can scale S-video. Personally I use an RGB Scart cable into a Retrotink5x But that’s hardly what you would call a budget option
Ahh you went entire console upgrade, luv to my hands on one of those, the retro console if montianed well are built like brick houses, mine are still running, (touch wood)
@@rightspritegaming yeah did the same for Mega Drive and am so impressed with both I've ordered a Pocket. They're definitely worth checking out if you get the opportunity. Stunning little machines with a premium feel unlike the stuff like the Retrons. The Super NT actually does somethings at a higher quality than even the og machine can. Audio bitrate etc.
Nice video however you never revealed you physically mounting these converters onto your so called smart tv, or a modern flat screen. So i guess everyone watching this video is just suppose to take your word that you used a modern tv for this? i'm just very skeptical because i purchased 2 different converters out of the 6 that your demonstrating and the screen just turns blue with a text that says 'NO SIGNAL DETECTED' needless to say i simply returned it. But i want to see a video of someone actually and literary plugging it into a modern flat screen smart tv. Otherwise i won't believe it until i see it.
it doesn't make any sense... the snes is insane popular and yet there is no hdmi console mod for the system... yet you can get them for nes n64 game cube.. ps1 ect ect...
LevelHike is the best even on PS2
RAD2X + SNES 1-Chip = best picture

Do any of these work with the super Famicom?

Can anyone please link me to a Levelhike to buy. Right Sprite website is “down” and cant seem to find one anywhere else.
I'm looking for too, let me know if you find somewhere I can purchase one as well.
the consoles without RGB are hardnest to get HDMI solutions for even the ones with 80% of these adapters dont use the RGB signal
Hi - I’m confused by this review. Does the reviewer work for Retrosprite?
Where can you buy the level hike from in the UK no luck on amazon or ebay
UP , same question , where can we buy the best one ? no more on website

No problems for lag at all that effect gameplay I've used these cables for a couple of years now
LevelHike or Pound is better?

Will the Level hike be the best for SNES Mini Jr also? It does not output rgb.
It does not tap into the RGB so it will be fine for the jr , it is designed like that to be universal
Hyperkin has a new pro cable. Anyone try it?
I went a bit crazy and went down the Analogue Super NT route. No regrets at all, but far from cost effective >_

actually after adding all RGB mods & HDMI scaller its not as crazy as youd think
are the miyoo minis still on pre order?
will literally pre order today if you can assure they will be able to be sent, im also in wales
hoping before Christmas
I wish they made one that used svideo instead of the composite video source. Bleh

It depends on the TV

Heard some great things on the rad x, the level hike has served me very well, but will be happy to give the rad a go when the timing is right
