This show has done more for Hawkeye than 10 years in the MCU. Hell, more for Hawkeye than black widows cameos and her movie did. This show is crazy!

@@ShadowSonic2 yup I agree but at least Wanda had a presence. Big roles in age of Ultron. Had a true effect in battles on both of the infinity films. You can argue Vision was the MVP of Age of Ultron. Gets folded up by vision on same film. Black panther eats his arrows and doesn’t care who he is in civil war lol. This show is showing how badass he can be. I’m loving it.

No one is pointing out that Yelena saves Kate multiple times. 1. On the Zip-line sliding down. 2. She fights Echo when Echo is fighting Kate. 3. She didn't throw Kate off the roof but she was trying to get her out of the fight. She hooks Kates suit before she threw her off the roof.
I actually noticed that too, she doesnt want to kill anyone else but Clint.

The fact that Kate did not end up shooting the arrow at Yelena is a striking parallel to how Hawkeye spared Natasha...could be interesting to see if Kate and Yelena's relationship unfolds into a friendship between an archer and a black widow

Clint said that the greatest shot in his life is the one he didn't take, referring to that time in Budapest when he could have killed Nat but he didn't. They mirrored the moment with Kate and Yelena later on.

I love that Laura is totally in on the loop and is even used as a sort of "Person in the Chair" contact as opposed to being the ol "wife that I have to keep all this a secret from." So often in these types of scenarios we see the superheroes feeling like they have to keep all this stuff secret from their significant others and I like that they represent Clint and Laura's marriage as being totally transparent, and that he even like relies on her for info and stuff. Really cool.
I have a feeling the watch is tied to his wife, someone who “got out of the game a long time ago”
I got the sense that Laura knew quite a bit about what he does in Age of Ultron with the conversation when the Avengers drop in between her and Black Widow about how she was pregnant with Nate. A bit of a surprise that Laura helps Clint as much as she does. But does make sense that Nick Fury would have helped set up the house "off the grid" when Clinton joined. Fury was giving his blessing to the setup because he knew that Laura was A "Mockingbird" operative.
I'm hoping it will be revealed that Laura is actually Bobbie Morse, A.K.A. Mockingbird.

I love when Barton says "Someone has hired a Black Widow assassin." Shows how much respect he has for that training lineage; he knows how dangerous the Black Widow's are.
Edit: I also like when Belova just shakes her head at Bishop. I took that as "I'm a trained killer. You're just a child; I know you won't kill me."
They are one of the most deadly assasins on the planet along with the winter soldier programe.

Great to see yelena here. The costume looks kind of like what she wore in the comics but it really reminds me of Sam fisher (splinter cell game main character). I think they mentioned a big guy also kate's mother is calling someone when hawkeye leaves which i hope is for a big kingpin cameo.

Loved Kate’s “best shot was the shot she never took” moment with YB black widow. It was a great setup with Clint talking about how he first met NR black widow.

I didn't see it that way. Up to that point, I don't think Yelena viewed Kate as a real threat. just someone in her way. when Yelena shook her head it was a threat. She was letting Kate know she was over her head, and if she let that arrow fly, it wouldn't end well for her.
Hey, Charlie, a Bulgarian here. Thanks for the wonderful video. I just wanted to address something. The word on Kate's t-shirt is "ЛАЙКА", which doesn't translate as "mother" in Bulgarian. This is the name of the dog Laika (one of the first animals in space), as it is spelled in Russian. The Bulgarian word for "MOTHER" is "МАЙКА". There is difference with just one letter at the beginning of the word. Keep up the excellent work !!

I'm 80% sure that Kate's mom is gonna end up being a bad guy. Kate's got big hero-worship issues. Her dad, her mom, Clint. I have a feeling they're gonna address that as a character flaw later on.
yeah, her mom has a more of a "mastermind" vibe to her, and jack seems more like a powerful combatant but not the person in charge, second in command at best
I actually would kind of love it if it turns out that Jack was being genuine the whole time and really was just trying to be a good stepdad. 😂

All the tracksuit guys on the payroll have names that start with a K (as seen on the computer screen in the previous episode), even Kate Bishop lol
Yelena saved Kate from falling then later saves Hawkeye from getting killed by Echo and in-between those two events Hawkeye stood in between Yelena pointing a gun at Kate. At that point you could see that Yelena knows that Hawkeye didn't kill her sister. That moment happened so fast but it really was a masterpiece and well written.

Yea I also think Yelena was actually there with the intention of helping Clint
yeah she could of taken everyone out if she wanted to but the thing with the MCU these days is. they tone down everyone when they want to and then power them up later depending on who they are fighting.
That’s not a bad thought and I hope that the case, but I don’t think that’s what these writers are going to do. Because even though she saved Hawkeye from echo remember her goal is still to kill Hawkeye and she wants to do it instead of letting a random person do it. Plus the saving Kate part was definitely her saying this is a kid let me get her out the way so I can focus on fighting Clint. I interpreted that scene based on the context of what the show gave us at no moment did we see Yelena go like oh my bad. If what ur saying is true and the writers are this clever why not let Yelena talk to Clint while they were fighting instead of her straight up trying to murder Clint she talked a lot in the black widow movie so it in her nature😅.
Like i said if your right then 👏 for the writers but if not then yeah this whole Yelena beefing with Hawkeye is just manufactured tension between them for the sake of drama because, Yelena is supposed to be a smart super spy so while madam hydra could be giving her these false lies about Clint, there is enough evidence Yelena could have found that Clint didn’t kill Natasha and in the black widow movie Natasha mention that hey Clint’s is a special friend who she trust.

I feel that it will be Kate vs Jack, paying off that fencing scene but with her using the Ronin sword. Hawkeye will probably be against Maya, considering both are hearing impaired. Yelena might probably help Hawkeye with making sure Eleanor doesn't touch his family after they sort their issue regarding Black Widow.
But damn, this episode really hits hard and Jeremy Renner really nailed the old and weary look Clint had. And with Hailie acting as Kate extremely well, I definitely now want a scene between her and Florence's Yelena. I can see the banter between the both of them

I'm absolutely loving this series and straight to the point the pace of the show is. That rooftop fight scene was incredible. I'm looking forward to seeing more Yelena in the MCU.
My favorite part of the episode was when Yelena gave Kate the look and did a mini headshake... it's almost like a "mom" move! lol
The Yelena moment was so dope. Also, love that the Velma actress (Linda Cardellini) is Clint’s wife, I didn’t even realise it was her until this episode, even though she first appeared in ‘Age of Ultron’

The fact that the song background score was playing throughout the series again, which was used during Natasha Death. It was used when Kate was hanging and when Clint was remembering Natasha in the apartment. The same music that was used during Natasha's Death and Clint getting the soul stone. Damn that made me shed a tear.

I legit forgot Yelena was gonna be in the episode and I was freaking out. "Who is that??? Why are they fighting Clint & Echo???" Then it clicked and a moment later she is de-masked. It was awesome to see her. Really loving all the Hawkeye things. Great series so far.
When I saw the person use the widows bite, I just screamed, it was awesome. I knew it was her.

These Marvel series are getting better and better, the ability they have of setting up plots and character arcs across movies and shows it's just awesome.. like making the audience part of an inside joke. I love it!

Kate's mom could be calling Val or kingpin. Probably need to see the fight again. But it looked like black window was actively helping Kate when she was on the wire and with the hook line when she was thrown off the roof. Like trying not to kill her.
I have a feeling Eleanor and Jack may be teamed up with Val and the call she made was to Val and that is what brought Yelena into the picture. Kingpin, Echo, and the track suits are completely separate and this is the division between Eleanor and Armand III that Kate walked up on and caught the tail end.
The idea that the widows can show up anywhere is pretty exciting from a story telling standpoint

I honestly feel the best part of the episode was the flashback to Ronin. It showed the regret that Clint has for his actions, along with the sadness he lives with after losing Natasha and it certainly didn’t help Kates mom dug in on that. I love the continued development he goes thru

My favorite moment from the trailer is when Peter says “do I know you” to doc ock. It’s so funny because doc ock has this tremendous anger to Toby’s Peter but Tom doesn’t even know who he is. 😂

Yelena and Maya are totally fabulous characters in the MCU
Favorite moment was when Clint acknowledge the black widow being hired meant he was going down a path of no return and he seemed actually concerned slightly. I think the only way he gets away from the black widow is is by talking it out which I can't wait for!
I think he knew it was a path of no return once he found out Maya was researching his family.

Kate’s “dog in the arrow” sweatshirt says “Laika” in Russian. Laika was the first animal in space, a stray dog who was launched on a one way trip to space on Sputnik 2.
This has become my favorite Marvel Disney+ show. The writing is excellent. It kind of feels like a combination of Only Murders in the Building (Hulu) and Marvel mixed together.
Not only that but I love how they are trying to bring in the Netflix marvel universe
This story is so good there is no way they can tie things up in 6 episodes.
I can see it happening, wrap up Jack’s motivations along with Maya finding reconciliation with Clint, as well as Yelena finding that Clint misses Nat the same way she does as well as building Kate and Yelena’s relationship. Then finally give answers as to the watch. Plenty for 2 hours
As well as reveal that Eleanor is also in a villainous role but doing it for Kate’s good, and that she’s partnered with Kingpin

Huey does the songs called “The Power Of Love” and “Back In Time” as well as making a cameo. He played the guy that said to Marty Mcfly and his band that their music is “too darn loud”.

Seeing Yelena Belova is definitely my favorite moment. Can’t wait to see what’s to come from that story line. They really show how much Clint cares about Black Widow.

Other than the fighting, my favorite part of THIS episode was the conversation between Hawkeye and the mom. It gives us the human/vulnerable side of the characters. We get so caught up I'm the super powers and super skills, it's good to see the sentimental human side of them.
Hawkeye is kinda like the sequel to Black Widow; although Natasha's dead, her presence is here.
Yelena felt a largely nerfed here, but it might have been her anger controlling her blows. Maya and Yelena might work together to kill Hawkeye, but Bishop might be the one to save him. I love the tie-ins, but I'm also a sucker for continuity in general. Can't wait to see the next few episodes.
I think Yelena made it pretty clear that she was NOT going for the kill seeing as how she went out of her way to save Kate.
@@thedukeofchutney468 makes sense if it was Yelena that was on the phone with Kate's mother. Her mother would be very specific in telling her not to let Kate get hurt.

Really love the idea that the Avengers watch could actually belong to Laura, back when she was in SHIELD. (Would make sense with her being absolutely okay with what he does, and helping out with her own info and leads) Few people saying she could be Mockingbird? So cool!
Her being Mockingbird would be awesome
Mockingbird was already in agents of shield which at the moment can still be considered canon in the mcu.

I love the scene where Tom Holland spiderman is talking to Doc oc asking for his name because it shows how all these super hero names and villains would be comedic in a real life situation
I cannot believe how amazing this show is so far. I had VERY LOW expectations going into this. Your Easter Egg videos are always amazingly insightful, and they bring a whole new level of appreciation into each and every episode!!

As much as I love the series so far, I am worried with how they're going to wrap everything up with 2 episodes left. With so much stuff going on, there's a good chance many plotlines will be pushed to season 2 or to future movies. Because right now we have Yelena, Jack/Eleanor, Echo, and Kingpin as major antagonists to deal with.

i agree. if they make kingpin a bad character here (and his character is canon to the daredevil series) then nobody is gonna wanna see him return.
I think king-pin will be only a late reveal at the end , and a short cameo of Wilson Fisk

There were so many good things about this episode. The series just keeps getting better and better. But I think I most enjoyed their little impromptu Christmas party and them building their friendship through that.

My favorite part of this episode actually was seeing Clints reaction during the call back to Black widow and the score for avengers endgame.
Just to be clear... The musical theme that you called the Black Widow theme isn't specific to her. Variations of it play each time a major character dies. It plays when Loki is killed by Thanos, among others. I call it the 'ultimate loss' theme.
