ok
Loved this episode
Hawkeye
So awesome seeing Matt in No Way Home.
Love this finale
Allot of things went down!!!
Kingpin had kinda invincible vibes in the episode, but for some reason it did not feel as terrifying as it did in Daredevil. I am still pumped for what's next with these characters, absolutely love them!
100% agreed
the car door scene really did make Kingpin menacing on the netflix show
Well DD was rated R and we actively saw kingpin kill viciously in that show. I think we all just think of the car door scene but other than that it was mostly dialogue and subtlety. Where here he didn’t even want to hurt Kate. Still worked for me and they definitely made him seem like a true boss villain the way they showed his strength. Sadly anything MCU will always feel watered down compared to the Netflix versions but I’m hoping they don’t continue pulling punches both literally and figuratively
@@vt_sandman3392 they Lowkey need an R rated side of film. Fuck them kids
@@vt_sandman3392 yeah even Arcane and Stone Ocean they have characters say Fuck. So, cant blame them in Disney for bringing most of the overall violence down.
Kingpin getting the power-up he deserves but he feels far more terrifying in Netflix. One of my favourite characters and actors.
He was more terrifying and you didn't come out of going toe to toe with him with no damage like Kate did in this laughable fight.
@@EvilAnomaly he where is the wilson fisk ,than hire goons with gifts ,corrupted the FBI ,and strangle a journalist with his hands?
Yup, he felt much more terrifying on Netflix. He didn't even feel like the main villain here. He felt like a last minute suggestion.
@@TheFreshSoundsFlorida They need to ''redeem'' him in the Echo show
Because in MCU he is a lesser villian on tier level. In the show he is THE bad guy.
I was fully expecting Yelena to be sitting in the audience during the musical and fully enjoying it, I think that would have worked really well for her arc and character. Feels like a missed opportunity. Could have made it extra spicy by having Peter sit in a row behind her and both being fully unaware of each other being there.
Peter? we mean Parker right?
@@ADDGunedd Yeah haha, maybe should have stated that more clearly
@@BorisdeBever ngl my mind went to quill immediately.
Waste of a Spiderman cameo. They had a 1 movie and 1 cameo deal. That's a waste.
I too was expecting Yelena or another Avenger (Sam and Bucky,😆) to be in the audience.
The guy who played Jack did such a great job, lots of subtle shifts between the episodes from nothing to threat to funny. Great job
Have no doubt that we'll be seeing Kingpin again. They didn't show him getting shot. Probably show what happened to him in the Echo show. But I was kind of disappointed that they had a musical number as an end credits scene.
the musical was cool but shouldn’t have been an end credit scene it should have been an extra on Disney + and save the end credit for some future project or extra Hawkeye scene
I was disappointed at first but I actually ended up enjoying the musical lol
During the offscreen you hear a gunshot, however the gunshot sounded like a gunshot + a big thump followed right after
Worst mid credit ever
I'm only disappointed that it was JUST the song. I, too, was hoping to get a shot of Bruce covering his face in dread, or Scott wondering why he's in the show even though he wasn't Ant-Man yet, or Sam and Bucky looking like they want to kick the producers asses. Or, better yet, Scott, Hope, Sam and Bucky there, Scott signing and dancing along with the other three acting like they don't know him.
They're definitely bringing him back, i dont think marvel will waste such a great character.
I believe so too, after all. They never showed him being shot. And he took a damn explosion. Pretty sure if explosions are nothing, neither are bullets. And not showing him being shot gives more potentials.
Not even the character its the actor who pulls it off. Just like with DC and Stephen Amell and Oliver Queen Green Arrow, or Robert Downey and Tony Stark/Iron man there are people who are just made to play some roles. Vincent is one of them with his version of Wilson Fisk / Kingpin.
They’re not gonna shut down that factory so early , for sure they’re gonna bring him back for sure
If you don’t see them die on screen they are just not dead
Ofc
Kate and Yelena should totally get a "Falcon and Winter Soldier" -type of series. That elevator scene was awesome
They must go to Budapest. It's only right for Hawkeye and Black Widow to have an adventure there.
Avengers5. Loki was created for fisney + content. Everybody doesn't need a show.
@@CourtTV. this is so stupid without Loki, the newest Spider-Man wouldn’t have happened nor the doctor strange multiverse of madness stop being silly
Young Avengers.
Nobody wants to see Kate and Yelena get a TV series stop it.
The owl in the tree is a reference to the owl that was found in the Rockefeller tree last year. It was apparently in the tree when it was cut down and transported to NYC. It was rescued and returned to the wild... without abducting any miniature tracksuit mafia guys! I love how they didn't rescue those guys 😂
The shrinking van being carried off by the owl and Yelena were the best parts of this episode. We definitely need more Yelena, she was amazing with Kate
wow exact same for me, I personally found everything else boring, the Fisk scenes were cool too
Omg yelena and kate’s chemistry is on the next level. I can watch this two all day…
@@abdulkadirosman2816 SHUT UP
....Maybe that wasn't an ordinary owl as MCU The Owl might use owls as spies across NYC
@@Vamroc the Owl was killed by Fisk
Sword Master was so hilarious, being sorta oblivious and having his own hero moment was an unexpected and very welcome surprise. Yelena and Kate have a delightful energy together, loved them
The line “remember when you peed your pants? I do. Everyone Does.” KILLED me.
*Swordsman
I really hope they develop Swordmaster into his full character.
Also, I like the idea that Agent 19 was passed onto Bobbi Morse from AoS when Laura Barton retired, and with that the Mockingbird name was passed on too
I will go with that because the first 3 or 4 seasons of AOS parallel the movies.
I’d say that Laura was probably the first Mockingbird. She could’ve trained “Bobbi” for a particular reason similar to Clint training Kate.
Exactly, I don't see them throwing away AoS like that, especially not after having canonized basically all the old series.
At least Hawkeye made it for Christmas with his family.
I think they tried to foreshadow a happy ending
That is true
Yeah. I knew he would. Although, I imagined he didn’t because he got arrested, his family comes to him for Christmas in prison, and Matt Murdock appearing to help Clint.
As they pulled up to the house in the car my daughter said "oh no, I bet they're all dead!"
As soon as I saw him pull up to his house I knew Kate was going to be there, i mean after all that how could she not be?
I liked when they shrunk the truck and Kate asks "How do we make them big?" Hawkeye goes "I"ll have to ask Scott" lol
Let's not forget Kingpin's last line: Sometimes family does not see eye to eye.
So him coming back with at least one blinded eye would make a lot of sense...
Could also make him look a little more badass to have an eyepatch.
I dunno, a bullet to the eye means insta kill
She shot his dick off. He will Queenpin from now on.
@@rrjnitura4515 in the comics he got shot in the eyes by maya and survived
@@Starscream8896 Aight I'm done
it's possible that Adriann's Mockingbird was given to her by Laura when she retired. And that Bobby took up the name to protect her from any enemies that were looking for her.
That's definitely the case. Agents of SHIELD takes place in the same universe Hawkeye (2021) does, just like every other show they made before Disney Plus. Don't know why Charlie said that the Bobbi Morse was from another universe. Marvel Television helped expand the MCU before Disney even thought about making their own steaming service. It sucks that people keep on disregarding those shows and it's characters. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have standouts like Charlie Cox as Daredevil or Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin. I'm sorry for the rant but Charlie really got on my nerves with what he said. 😓
@@danielpinarox There is no actual statement from Kevin Feige that Agents of SHIELD takes place in the MCU. If we've learned anything from the Loki series about the multiverse, it's that there are an infinite number of parallel universes. Some are almost identical while others are as different as can be. None of the Marvel TV series have been confirmed to be in MCU Prime (the main universe for the MCU films and DIsney+ series). Even if the same actors are reprising roles they previously played in a Marvel TV series, that does not mean their earlier shows took place in MCU Prime.
@@Lupin788 fair point. But I'm still sticking to the idea that all the MCU shows (before Disney Plus) take place in "MCU Prime". That includes Inhumans (2017) & Helstrom (2020). It just makes more sense to me. The whole building and expanding "MCU Prime" before introducing things such as a freaking multiverse. Besides, Kevin Feige hasn't said anything about the Marvel Television shows taking place in other timelines either. Until Feige says something, all we can do is make things up just so that this whole franchise can make sense to us. You know what I mean?

Sorry, wait. I meant to say -nobody stays dead except Jason Todd and Uncle Ben.-
Crap. Ok well maybe Uncle Ben won't come back.
Ladies & Gents*
Tell that to Ultron...
Definitely need more Yelena! She is such a fun character! She steals every scene she is in.
For the post-credit scene, I was really hoping they'd show Yelena in the audience rolling her eyes or making some witty comment. Since Yelena had asked Kate what tourist spots she should see while in town, I figured she'd see billboards for the musical and check it out. 😆
Gotta say, I really enjoyed this series! Nothing world-ending or epic, just a really nice, cute, fun, ground-level superhero adventure with some great characters and a sprinkling of heartfelt pathos here and there. Good times!
Thought it was downright unwatchable at times and if they didn’t bring in Yelena and Kingpin I wouldn’t have cared what so ever
Hard out man was one of my favourite Marvel series this year!!!
Absolutely. My feelings EXACTLY. I'm not debating is Hawkeye or WandaVIsion my favorite. Being 60, I do love the whole retro TV vibe in Wanda cuz.... I grew up watching the shows they emulated and it was so cool to see those TV eras applied to Marvel.
Probably this is my favorite, this or Loki.
Don’t get me wrong the show is good but I just wish they didn’t make a joke out of everything I loved the build up to Kate and Hawkeye tryna find out who’s behind Sloan and the tracksuits and when kingpin showed it it was epic but I felt like the show didn’t show the ruthlessness of kingpin like they did in the daredevil series especially the simple fact that Kate bishop was able to solo kingpin like that was a joke he should’ve pummeled her with in a inch of her life then as a last resort she hits the arrow to blow kingpin up I felt like that would’ve been better but the show didn’t take it there sadly since it’s on Disney but either way it’s a solid show great seeing kingpin back they better bring him back in future projects.
I am honestly surprised by how many people expected this to be a show about Clint Barton when it was pretty clear from the beginning that it was to serve as Kate's origin first, and Clint's retirement second. Phase 4 is all about the changing of the guard, bringing the new generation of heroes to carry the movies/series for the next 10 years and allowing the originals to retire from the roles. Steinfeld killed it as Kate Bishop, Florence Pugh is going to be a good Black Widow, and I look forward Echo when her series releases. It seems a lot of complaints showing up in comments boil down to "why are there girls in my super hero show?". And no, Kingpin did not get nerfed. He takes more punishment in this one episode than he did in all seasons of Daredevil, tears a car door off like it were made of paper, has explosions go off in his face, gets hit by a car and sent through a wall, etc. And he still stands. Kate was never physically beating him down, she beat him because she outsmarted him and was more resourceful.
Seemed like kingpin has super strength or something
@@KingTwonB23 i think its more comic book accurate
I'm not trying to be antagonistic here. If you like this version of Kingpin, more power to you. But the fact that he won his fight with Kate physically, but lost because she outsmarted him and was more resourceful, is the entire problem. Kingpin is like THE mastermind villain, especially in his iteration in the Daredevil show. To me at least, he was never cool because he was a large, strong guy, but rather because he was resourceful enough to take control of the FBI from a prison cell. Powerful enough to make threats to the Punisher and stay alive. And smart enough to figure out Daredevil's identity from just a few interactions. Maybe this big strong mafia boss version of Fisk is more comic accurate, but more me, as a huge fan of the Netflix Daredevil show, I really don't like the change. The super strength just took me out of it, because, while it may be more comic accurate, it reduces a lot of why I liked Kingpin in the first place.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to write the MCU Kingpin off entirely based on one episode. I wasn't the biggest fan of Defenders, and yet I still think the subsequent Daredevil season is the best part of the entire MCU. But I think that making Kingpin a physical threat, someone who would do the dirty work himself, and someone who lacks the cruel psychosis found in Daredevil, is a choice that fundamentally misunderstands why people like me found Vincent D'Onofrio's take on the character particularly compelling.
It’s just that Hawkeye never got his own origin story like all the other Avengers did. It would have been cool if they at least put some sort of flashback showing how he got recruited into SHIELD and how he met his wife.
While it was cool to see Kingpin in action, I guess I feel that his henchmen would be more of a threat, and would have hired someone more skilled to take out Eleanor instead of going himself.
I’m not sure these “new” heroes can push the MCU forward. The ceo of Disney is already telling Feige to bring iron man and the original characters back.
My heart broke when Yelena started crying. She cried like she's been holding her tears for so long. I need more of Yelena. 😭😭😭
I wish Jeremy was utilized a little more in the past with his arrows. What Kate said about you don’t have to have powers to be a hero really stuck with me. These were badass and he’s a great actor. I’m not sure how much longer he’s going to be in the MCU or if this was his last ride but I always loved his interpretation of Hawkeye! No matter how many jokes people had. He was the man!
I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone bring up the fact that the thing Kate flicks at the broken trick arrows to blow kingpin up, is Fisks iconic cuff link from daredevil
I MISSED THAT GOOD CATCH!!!
I saw it the first time! 😁
One of the main things I and others noticed, but haven't spoiled for others until it comes to spoiler videos. A lot like MJ's necklace In No Way Home.
I love the chemistry with Yelena and kate bishop in the season finale
Yeah their interactions (and the macaroni dinner scene) were great. The chemistry was fantastic between them.
Black widow and Hawkeye 2.0
i think Eleanor’s arc is just fine. it makes sense that she didnt have no secret identity and stuff. her goal was simple: protect her daughter and finish up her late husband’s debt
Exactly, and she had the ending where she "foreshadowing" the whole season telling Kate "No one can do something without dealing with the consequences", in the end she dealt with the consequences of her actions, even if ordered by someone else.
Loved that Kate used Fisk’s cuff link from the Netflix series for the flip trick. Just a great continuity detail.
No way in hell Kingy goes out like that, if he EVER went out it would be from SpiderMan, Daredevil or Punisher.
I just finished the episode, honestly i am so disappointed, wtf was this version of Wilson Fisk, Daredevil's Fisk would have never gone out like that and would have knocked down Kate in 1hit. He was presented as a looser...
Yeah, I have to agree. Fisk in Hawkeye just didn't seem vicious like his Netflix variant.
I loved the scene between Fisk and Eleanor. You could tell he was holding something back. And then Fisk taking an arrow almost point blank and cutting it off with his cane, great. Surviving a hit from a car, surviving a point blank explosion.
I think they have something here to work off from, but I didn't quite get the acting that would have sold me. YET.
He's obviously not dead which is why they showed the gunshot off screen.
He’s clearly not dead, no way he can just be written off like that lol not to mention it didn’t show if he got shoot
i’m literally super excited to see kingpin again in echo, come on now, can’t believe some thought he’d actually be killed off like that 🤣
Well he goes blind in the comics, so he's not killed off, I don't know why fan are complaining about it.
First of all no one is mad the made him a punk?? He wearing hats and jolly shirt. And then he would never associate himself with these idiots tracksuit because thats instant failure. But I realized this he disney version and not the Netflix version.
@@hero02 technically both of those r a part of his character in comics he does wear that to fight Spidey and owned the track suit mafia
everyone knows hes inst dead its just the fact that Disney did him dirty and only Netflix gave the character justice. Wilson Fisk can go up against punisher, daredevil, bullseye and live but cant beat a new timer who isnt even that powerful. Not to mention they made him a massive idiot everyone knew about kate bishope but the man at top idc what you say but that isnt wilson fisk he notices talent and finds ways to explote it not sit around doing nothing. srry about my rant
I didn’t like kingpin in this he’s too strong like he rips car doors off and firms arrows and a car crash
I loved the call back to Kingpin's cufflinks from Daredevil. A very small touch, but definitely appreciated.
“So this is Christmas” is actually referring to a John Lennon song, “Happy Christmas”, in which the famous first line is... “So this is Christmas... and what have you done”.
It’s a Christmas song about self reflection, caring for others and being a better person. John Lennon was also shot and killed while living in NYC. So the title of this episode is definitely deliberately atmospheric.
I love how they used the owl in the tree. For those who don't know, the Rockerfeller Center Christmas Tree was cut and set up with a resident owl hiding and still living in it last year.
I liked how the owl took of with the shrunken truck the people inside the truck probly got eaten since owl claws and beak are strong
Yup, Rocky the Owl :)
🦉🦉🦉🦉🦉🦉🦉
YES!! I thought the owl bit was BRILLIANT!!!
I loved that moment when Clint took Kazi to suplex city, I was hoping he was going to be more of a challenge, but he is kind of a buster
Would be more funny if he continued to suplex him like brock lesnar does.
Suplex City B**** !
Honestly though, the level of physical power seemed waaayyyyy more hardcore in this MCU version than in the Netflix series. I felt that's how they're showing that he's a very different version of Wilson.
Also, incredible camera work to show to him as a bigger version of himself. The fear seeing him on screen was SO real.
Yes, the camera work!!!
Vincent was born to play kingpin he was one of the best parts about this show the mystery and build up surrounding him was amazing and finally seeing him in action during tonights finale was worth the wait everytime Fisk showed up on screen I was hyped and that ending with Maya was so unexpected can't wait to see what direction they go with this in the Echo series.
Not only did Kingpin appear in the episode, but he had more than one scene and not just a simple cameo like most of us would have thought.
I don't think mist if us thought that.. He was supposed to be the big bad of the show, i'm just glad they mad him such a tank.
Love that Jack turned out to be a good dude, I really liked his character, guys hilarious imo being so oblivious to everything and never stressed about anything, great stuff
I'm really happy with the series overall. It was a "busy" canvas and while that sort of had to happen it did detract somewhat from some of the character development. Kingpin got more screen time than expected but they had a lot to tie up so that couldn't have been helped. Maybe half of the musical number could have been used on the Kazi/Echo fight or to flesh out Swordsman and Mrs. Bishop (I feel she shouldn't have been arrested).
The musical was fun too, but a bit of exposition to lay ground for upcoming events might have been nice. The Tracksuits are forgettable but they know how to bring the minions and provide a nice swath of carnage at the end of the ice fight. Yelena was great. I would have written a hug in there with Hawkeye but I'm sappy that way. She and Kate will definitely need a crossover.
Lots of good reveals. The Mockingbird thing was supercool. Home for Christmas with Kate in tow was the BEST. I kinda wanted Yelena to show up and meet little Nate but there'll be room for that later. Can Not Wait for more of all these characters. I'm going with a solid 9 out of 10...maybe a 9.5.
That’s way too high it deserves a 8 or 7.5
"You got so much time with her!"
That one really got me.
One thing for sure: We need more Yelena in the future of the MCU. She was the best part of the Black Widow movie and she was great here as well.
I actually didn't like her as much as I thought I would, but maybe I just need time to warm up to her. She was good but not great. I think partly this might be that she's an action movie hero and I keep hoping we see an espionage thriller. I do hope we see a lot of her moving forward.
@@theprogram863 MCU did great in hyping her character up. This was not her show but still managed to shine. I hope the next time we see her, she has her own movie/series

@@Kaiokened can't people have opinions?
@@cameronweaver2013 you’re right. But I just can’t let someone speak like that about my girl Yelena 😤
I loved the build up with jack story and character with the show tricking us into thinking he’s the big bad and that we should hate him, but in actuality kates mother was the bad guy and framed her own fiancé. That shit blew my mind tbh lol her mother is messed up but I liked jack in the finale, I also enjoyed a lot Yelena being in these last few episodes and her interaction with Kate and Clint
Overall I enjoyed the Hawkeye series. Clint Barton finally got more of his story told, and loved learning more about his wife (loved the Agent 19 reference!)
Kate Bishop is brilliant, her chemistry with Yelena is fantastic too.
I did feel the finale was a bit rushed however. Kates mum for example, still barely know anything about her story and what she actually did for Kingpin and how they worked together.
Also feel like they didn’t really set up the Echo series that well either - it hasn’t really made me dying for more Echo.
Would definitely love a season 2 to show Kate growing and learning to become effectively an Avenger!
I thought the Kate Bishop speech was worth mention. "You showed me that being a hero isn't just for people who can fly or shoot lasers out of their hands, it's for anyone who's brave anyone who's brave enough to do what's right, no matter the cost." If this whole series was a redemption for the least popular Avenger, that moment summed it up. It gave him the respect he deserved but never had.
It reminds me of what Miles sums up in Spider-Verse: "Anyone can wear the mask... YOU can wear the mask."
Really liked this episode. Didn't expect kingpin to get a lot of screen time
Really I thought this episode was trash
@@stgonmcu and really most people don't really care about your opinion as most loved this finale.

As someone who wasn't anticipating much from this series, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I had fun.

I hope a Daredevil series will be PG-16 so that we can see the brutality of a buffed King pin.
It’d be cool if in the MCU the “Mockingbird” name was a code name given to the agent (like James Bond/007), that way we could say Laura was the old Mockingbird and Bobbie is the new one
James Bond is his actual name.
Thanks (and happy holidays), Charlie! 🏹
Depending on the writer, Kingpin sometimes in the comics is depicted as peak human which can have him fighting someone like Spider-Man. This series relied on that aspect of the character.
Yeah, and all that 'fat' on him is actually supposed to be muscle which is pretty interesting
After how brutal and calculating as Fisk was portrayed in Daredevil, I was a bit let down seeing him this vulnerable right away in his first major appearance. Maybe I'm too biased idk. This didn't feel like a solid episode.
it wasn't
Yeah Wilson Fisk shouldn’t be able to get 1v1ed by Kate bishop like that lol they turned him into a cuck
He got ran over by a car and hit with multiple arrows and was fine. He even caught one and yanked Kate then proceeded to punch her 15 feet. It took 7 or 8 high-tech and explosive arrows going off at once just to knock him down for a few minutes……🤨
He purposely showed that this was beneath him thus didn’t go full savage and just kill Kate who he saw as a little
Girl over her head. It made sense in the moment. She was a fly at a barbecue to him.
I believe it to be a different version of the character and a different continuity from the Netflix shows. Just so happens to be played by the same actor. I wasn’t surprised at all to see a TV-14 version of Kingpin versus the TV-MA version we saw on Netflix.
Nah, not biased at all. He was displayed more accurately in DD than here. His fight here was laughable because they mistakenly felt the need to elevate Kate in this show to the demise of disrespecting Kingpin's capacity to bruise. She came out of that fight with less damage than a person would fighting a cartoon character.
What an epic conclusion to an awesome series! Loved the way Kingpin was handled, that Yelena got closure thanks to Clint. Also, Kate was awesome as well (also kudos to her for holding her own /w the big guy) . Glad to see Clint and her just click. Glad the mom got her just desserts and sword guy was great, haha. Larpers were great. Also, happy ending and that after credit scene though LUL Edit not to mention Echo!

@@FULANODETAL first of all you really need to check a lot of your grammar as your comment is so confusing I can barely read it lmao and also kingpin is definitely coming back for the echo series where he will have much better writing with much more to do and have a chance to be much more threatening.
@@iraford5788 those phase4 writters are the worst..#savewilsonfisk
The fact that they made Kingpin more comic accurate was enough for me, the dude is way stronger than the average man, so getting hit by a car ain't shit lol However that Hawain shirt seemed like an odd choice for him but whatever. There is plenty of Fisk to come.
sorry but whe you get hit by a car you kness break...also how kate mother can acelerate the car in 3 metres?
Thank you for your videos!
Great breakdown as always. I understand what you mean Re: Kates mom, but it does show that at heart she is a mother (a bad one most of the time), which is in stark contract to say Kingpin and Echo -> discarding her and even wanting her dead for his own selfish reasons. Kates mom did seem to want to protect her.
I laughed so hard when the Owl took that mini truck.
You think those track suit dudes will ever return to normal side?
We already know that they are not going to kill Kingpin like that, that would be lame. By the way love your hard work❤
Appreciate u..ur amazing always on point......
This series was really amazing and your hard work is awesome and I appreciate it very much keep it up charli you're the best man in the world.
man they gave Kingpin and Kate a full fight wasn't expecting that at all. I now wanna see Tom Holland's Spiderman versus Kingpin. this kingpin can take the punishment
The fact that Kate bishop didn’t get crushed by kingpin is laughable and shows that she is another Mary Sue.
@@po-vb8mm right, Spider-Man or even Hawkeye can easily kill this kingpin. If Kate fought him one on one and not only beat him but pranced around like nothing happened. Right after
I definitely think they will bring Kingpin back, but I do think it was a frustrating entrance for the character for those who haven't seen Daredevil. My boyfriend was wondering who this person was that just entered an episode earlier and said that he ran New York.
@@barryallen871 Lets just say DD does Kingpin's brutality as a bruiser far more justice than the laughable scene that went down here.
I loved that Maya didn't cover her leg in that fight! Great representation !
I loved swordsman talking to the little kid. "Remember when you peed your pants? I do. So does everyone else"
Kate trying to stop Yelena from killing Hawkeye was like an adult telling a kid that they couldn't leave timeout.
Haha ikr it was strangely wholesome you can tell they were not actually trying to hurt one another.
Just an FYI, kingpin getting shot by maya at the end of the episode exactly happened in the comics making kingpin become blind in the comics at one point and him surviving the gun shot
well of course the way it was framed was so obvious like a comic book panel shot.
Yeah
The clue is ‘we Don’t see EYE to EYE.
What people are forgetting is, Fisk in the Daredevil series, that was pretty much his origin story. Then Thanos happened and it looks like Fisk wasn't a victim of the snap. This gave him time to further solidify his hold on New York, and grow his influence and wealth even more. In the MCU, it's been almost 7 years since the end of Daredevil S3. So yes, the Fisk we're seeing in Hawkeye is different from the Fisk in Daredevil. That doesn't mean they're different people, it means, the Fisk in Hawkeye has had almost a decade of experiences since the last time Daredevil tried to put him away.
Plus, they're not going to reintroduce a character like Fisk and then kill him off an episode later. That would be like bringing Matt Murdock back and then never doing anything with him but stop with a cameo scene.
Story & Plot-wise this series had INCREDIBLE high points....with (especially towards the end) some all out DUDs. I am glad to have Kingpin back...but it feels like 'Wilson Fisk Lite' because he got beat by an upstart superhero. (Though I love Kate Bishop) One of the BIG problems I'm having is these 6-episode series vs the classic 10-12 episode series. They could have done a FULL episode on Echo and it would have helped that ending to pack more punch. They could have had an episode on Kate's Mom's backstory to really help you have more sympathy for her choices. I also feel that the overall battle with Yelena might have benefited from it being the CENTER of an entire episode. Also that was a WASTE of a post-credits opportunity. They could have done the musical thing DURING and WHILE the credits were rolling.
This Kingpin was strong and of course he's alive but I see still wanna see him threatened as Netflix Kingpin. Hope we see that in the Echo series.
He's like comically strong. Definitely not daredevil kingpin.
@@laithurz6408 The Netflix version kinda nailed it, he pulled off feats that were just too strong for a human to do but it didn't go to far to make him seem like he had actual super powers
@@BeastscopesCL well in order to face spider man hes gonna have to be D+ level strong

So far, we have each successor story highlighting a different kind of challenge of carrying on the legacy:
Tony Stark --> Peter Parker (not feeling he's ready)
Steve Rogers --> Sam Wilson (not feeling he's worthy)
Natasha Romanov --> Yelena Belova (this hasn't really been laid out neatly yet; maybe living up to the myth of the hero when you're intimately familiar with their reality?)
Clint Barton --> Kate Bishop (dealing with the personal cost of heroism: personal/physical/emotional/moral/relationships)
Thor --> Jane Foster (TBD) or, arguably, Thor --> Valkyrie (having to deal with the predecessor's baggage) I love natalie portman the actress, but Jane is a boring character compared to Valkyrie.
T'Challa --> ??? (TBD)
I haven't been following the soap opera of rumors about the production of the next Black Panther. It sounds like Disney has un-cancelled Letitia Wright (hooray!) and that Shuri is the new BP, but I've also seen rumors that it might be Michael B Jordan's Killmonger (also great he's coming back).
I personally think it would be best if N'Jadaka/Erik Stevens/Killmonger took over as Black Panther, closely watched by Shuri in an active, equal role as ruling Queen of Wakanda, kind of a Danaerys Targaryen character (minus going mass-murdering psycho in the final episodes). Then the story could be that Erik really isn't worthy, and everybody knows it, and he has an ocean of baggage to overcome, but despite it all he _still_ has to do it because it has to be done, he owes it to T'Challa to carry on his legacy, and perhaps by being a better person he can try to earn a measure of redemption. Nobody can possible replace Chadwick Boseman, so you might as well have the story and characters acknowledge that up front, then show how Erik has an obligation to try, despite all the obstacles. He can't do it as Erik Stevens, the angry kid whose father was murdered. He can't do it as Killmonger, the military operator, intelligence coup plotter, and would-be revolutionary dictator. He has to do it as N'Jadaka, has to figure out who N'Jadaka is, learn from Erik and Killmonger's mistakes. Then have Shuri the genius scientist and engineer suddenly thrust into political power and with only her mom remaining from her immediate family.
Alternatively, shuri carries the whole movie and you have HER struggling with the problem that she's the sovereign of a great nation, AND a superhero, AND a genius inventor. Any one of which is great, but she can't be ALL of those things at once, has to make hard choices and tradeoffs. When Peter skips homecoming to save the world, it's sad. When Shuri skips a meeting of parliament (or whatever) to save the world, then conflicts break out, decisions don't get made (or worse, _do_ get made, by someone else) and Wakanda suffers from not having its head of state focused on good governance.
Best part of this episode is Jack to the kid “remember when you peed your pants in the Hamptons, I remember, everyone remembers” 😂😂😂
I’m kinda glad we got a Scott Lang name drop in this finale , that was pretty interesting and awesome, like I wonder what Scott is even doing while the Hawkeye series is going on
Like Scott would even know haha. He needs to be asking Hank, who invented the tech
Seeing Kingpin comic accurate was enough for me
ITS SUCKS..remember comics can be terrible too
@@FULANODETAL I'm sure they'll make Kingpin as frightening as he was in Daredevil just not in Hawkeye it was meant to be a lighthearted show. I could be 100% wrong though I'm only coping
I need more of this series!
Love the show and yes, they rushed some things. But for this post credit scene:
"Hi, I'm Captain America. Here to talk to you about one of the most valuable traits a student or soldier can have. Patience. Sometimes, patience is the key to victory. Sometimes, it leads to very little, and it seems like it's not worth it, and you wonder why you waited so long for something so disappointing...".
It would’ve been funny if they showed Tom holland swinging and Hawkeye said “I wonder who’s under the mask”
Would have been a little depressing, too. Lol
@@Xodreev Kate should’ve been like “do you know that guy?” Hawkeye would be like not really
@Rohan Chatterjee she’s like maybe 21 and Parker is 17-18 in the movie
I’m glad that Clint Barton made it back safely with his family on Christmas Day and him bringing Kate Bishop and Lucky The Pizza Dog introducing them to Clint’s family
He definitely brought Kate home for hero training too.
This was my favorite episode. Second was the 5th. Mostly cause of yelena and kate. I hope the new hawkeye (kate) and black widow (yelena) would also form a bond like clint and natasha. It'd be cool cause it'd kind of be the same. Like... even their friendship got passed down.
The finale was a let down and it broke my heart because I LOVE this series. Kingpin was lackluster at best and the ending wasnt good and hated the post credit scene. Even if you had Charlie Cox or Peter Parker sitting at the musical at the ending credits would of been a nice touch.
A little disappointed at the post credit scene
I feel like the damage to Kate wasn't really felt at the end. Like kingpin beat the SHIT outta her and threw her around like a rag doll and she kept getting up like nothing happened. Didn't even break a rib or anything.
Hey Charlie will you be doing any RUclips videos on the Witcher season 2 by any chance? Love your vids btw always have to come here after anything to do with the MCU 😁👍

Go back and watch DD with Kingpin. Then watch Punisher and Luke Cage. Jessica Jones is very good, too, but also a very different kind of superhero story and at times painful to watch BECAUSE it was so emotionally intense. Really they were all very good except Iron Fist, and even that wasn't terrible.
This was by far the best series from avengers! Love the whole episode and we finally find out what the meaning of the watch! Man I can’t wait for more
I totally loved the mid-credit scene. It was great to see these Broadway stars I missed during the Covid time, when Broadway was closed. I was a special treat.
I had my favorite moments from each series, and my kids and wife were, I think, partial to Wandavision. But this series, to me, had so much depth to every character, to how the characters fit together, how they fit into all of the overall MCU storylines. There should have been nine episodes, without a doubt. And, I agree, the Eleanor character, the Swordsman character, and maybe a few other characters, perhaps Cazzi, should have been developed more. Mockingbird, yes, more. Kate's father, yes. Kingpin, in the comics was BIGGER, WAY BIGGER, so CGI Kingpin to scale? Nine episodes needed, six was too few, because it was so good!
"So this is Christmas" is also a line from John Lennon's Christmas song. It would be fun to go through the song's lyrics and make as many connections as possible to Marvel.
Yup, young people won't pick up on that.
I’d noticed that (being old!). I’d say it references the fact that the 'war' is over. It also says ‘let’s hope it’s a good one, without any fear'. Daredevil is the 'man without fear'.
@@robertsutton7949 Daredevil could also be the "yellow and red one", while Kate and Clint are the "old and the young".

Started rewatching daredevil and I don't know how Disney is going to these character justice. There are a lot of real emotional raw acting moments in the series that I don't think can happen with Disney unless they make these characters Hulu exclusive or something.
Dopeness as always!!
Definitely they’re gonna bring back Vincent Donofrio’s Kingpin in the MCU . It would just be a total letdown and waste if they never brought him back and for sure like since we’re getting the Echo series, it only makes sense for him to return in that
Marvel Studios "The Owl in the Christmas Tree" will be premiering on Disney + later in 2022. Cameos will include Lucky the Pizza Dog and Lokigator.
Haha 👍😅
Yeaaaaaaah really underwhelmed with Kingpin and this show in general.
His acting and presence was on point until the Christmas party. When he was talking to Eleanor, I could feel this restraint being held back so fiercely, like Kingpin fighting his urge to tear her head off.
But once they showed him in this Christmas suit, I knew that this was not my Kingpin from Daredevil. Even worse with the tophat.
I'm sure they chose these outfits to be more comic relatable, but the sheer power Fisk carried in Daredevil episode 1 with the black suit, his envoy of Suburbans, his monicer and codename as "my employer" early on really established a certain tense mood and tone.
Release the Fisk, Disney! God, Vince as Kingpin really needs an R rating. Hopefully Man Without Fear will show Murdock and Fisk in the same light as Netflix's shows.
With what the writers allowed Fisk to do in this show though, I'm highly doubtful.
