In a separate scenario lets say Kane is convicted of rape and he is actually innocent, is that fair to him? Is is fair to put an innocent male in prison and ruin his life and career just because society thinks that in most cases the woman is telling the truth about rape? No the Court has to do its job to find out the truth. Now to what I just said, someone could come back with, "well he has money and he could have bought his way out". Again just think about it. If a woman was actually raped and wanted to bring that person down, they would go through endless amounts of hell to bring that person back into Court and justice if that person was found not guilty. After the case was dismissed, the accuser just walked away and never heard about her again. And not to mention the actions that happened in between the case and even her attorney leaving the case.
