He cost us our season the second he stepped on the field. He is slow and on run plays he almost always ran the wrong gap or flat out just ran into the back of his own teammate. It's sad when my wife pauses the game to rewind it 20 seconds to show me cambell going to stop the run and just runs into the back of his own teammate who is trying to get the tackle off an OLineman and the runningback went right past him. If he would of shot the gap instead of the dudes back it would of been a tackle for loss. He doesn't have that dog in him at all. He was worthless. Should of played a backup in there. Couldn't be worse.

It's always nice to have a SB winning GM/player who had playing experience to hand the smackdown on someone who ultimately committed the highest form of no-no that should never happen on the field:
Ultimate betrayal by turning your back and quitting on your teammates.
I'm imagining John Lynch running down the from the box through the tunnel and doing a Goldberg and spearing this chump to the ground and then kicking him out of the stadium.
The team is doing the right thing- suspend this guy, garnish his pay and put him in a position that prevents him from signing with another team (not sure what team would even think of doing this and compromising their own locker room) and lay-down the highest punishment for his actions. Dude is over 30 and he acting like he's on his sophomore year. His actions sealed his career and I'm sure he can kiss his playing days goodbye. Nobody will ever again trust this dude.

If there's one GM you dont wanna piss off in this league its a guy who is a HOF safety of one of the nastiest defenses of all time. What an absolute embarrassment to quit on your team like that, and for a franchise as proud as ours. Like George said, 'I hope I never see that again'

I love it! Hopefully they can get approved for 3 game suspension. I also hope the nfl sets up a rule that if you quit in the middle of a game you get a lifetime ban. Forfeit all signing bonuses, meaning the team can sue you to recoup it. And your name is forever scrubbed from nfl history.

For all the fans who are trying to blame a person for the 49r issues. This situation optimizes our year. When you having to suspend players, you’re at the bottom of personnel issues. Our injuries and hold outs have created a team with no chemistry or continuity. We can’t field the same line up more than two weeks in a row. It’s a bad year and not the year to pick on single player performance. For example, i keep hearing we should not sign or pay Purdy. Just being honest, I’m surprised Purdy hadn’t been physically destroyed. Defenses are in our backfield before he can hand the ball off much less pass. I’m not blaming anyone. It’s how this year worked out with injuries and preseason silliness. I love my Niners and will trust that Lynch will do what he must to put a team together that believes in each other and fight together. Until then, I’ll keep on rooting.

The FIRST word that came to mind when heard about what happened was PUNK! I'M SO GLAD that John Lynch & back office are hitting him with the most severe penalties possible. Some player/analyst's are saying they don't condone it but we don't know what his mental state was, something off field he was dealing. That's pure 💩! Something going on? You tap out & don't dress BEFORE the game.. He knew when he was signed to ONE YEAR CONTRACT that he was keeping bench warm for D's return. He knew the job was dangerous when he signed for it. I really hope security didn't even let him go to locker room but right out of Levi to show him how much we don't want ANYTHING to do with him. I didn't know he turned them down in 2nd Q though,so don't know why they didn't address it then. Maybe bc D was doing great and they'd deal with it Friday or Monday at the latest. For whatever reason, HE killed his career and screwed his teammates in the process.

Lynch should go ballistic on Campbell after he abandoned the team in the middle of the game. Quitter Campbell intentionally killed the morale of the team as he single-handedly destroyed the 49ers any chance for playoff spot. His cowardice act was in perfect timing as the team needed him the most in that very moment. The Rams have to appreciate his action for causing the huge loss to the 49ers with humiliation on national TV.
